Exactly. I know Webb held his own, but Jefferson Is younger and has more talent, without the injuries (as far as I know). With our recent years of safety play as you stated, I just cant see how people don't like this signing.

Oh don't get me wrong, I have been advocating for the OL signings as much as anyone, Zeitler was a guy a I really wanted us to get. Ive always said the FO has failed to give Joe the weapons to succeed the way they expect him to. But just because we didn't sign a 'elite' WR doesn't mean I have to hate the Jeffereson signing. Our secondary will be drastically improved and it wouldn't be a stretch to say that if we draft a top CB, on paper we would have the best secondary in the league. But yes, I agree we need to give Joe help, its just that I cant hate signing Jefferson

I will gladly pay Jefferson to come in and start day one, which upgrades our secondary than take a flier on a mid round guy hoping he can contribute on special teams and maybe be our starter in 2-3 years. So we signed Jefferson and now we can draft a CB in the first and our secondary is lights out compared to last year. Just a preference, to each their own, I feel the path I prefer is smarter and safer.
