  1. Yes I have. I like the two of them. Outside of Fitzgerald, Julio, and Dez I have the next two best and a very good third IMO. Along with Rudolph my team is a coverage nightmare. If I could have pulled the trigger on Steven Jackson it would have been bordering on blitz proof.

If you end up with a QB with a pop gun arm you end up with the Cardinals WR core after Warner left.

yea I love your receiving corps.... im going to have to throw mine in there though im not saying its the best but I think its up there

Holmes, Boldin, Jackson. and Graham with a good receiving back in Gore

  2. have you seen my WRs?

yea but you only have two of them and no TE....there are a lot of people who have two quality CB's and since you have no QB it could be tough for your below average QB to beat man to man coverage....but there are teams that have 3 above average WR's and one or two great receiving TE's that's a coverage nightmare

  3. Not trying to tell you what to do here but I would play him on the left. The reason being is I don't think he's strong enough to be a RT. His feet are good and he's pretty athletic so I think he fits better there.

I agree with you........and I very well could end up doing that

but he could always get stronger......a lot of rookies show lack of strength their first year only to correct that problem.....I think he could be a very good tackle on either side....

  4. Jonathan Martin is such a good pick. You planning to put him at LT or RT, Prophet?

Thank you...I think he will develop into a quality starter on either side

I think he will be better at LT.......but my initial plan to start him on the right side comes form the fact that im targeting a LT that I feel will be overlooked...but if that falls through then im putting him on the left side...nothing wrong with choices lol

This is starting to look like its going to be the O-line round, everyone has taken their "sexy" players now were are all starting to build the "big uglies" lol

I'm a little annoyed by the Warford pick, I don't know how I missed him in all my research.

I like the Martin pick, though I think he's better suit to play LT so I didn't have him high on my list as I have my LT already, but he  brings good versatility as he could jump over to LT if you're starter was to go down.

Kelce is a good pick as well, I was debating taking him or Goodwin to move Costa to guard, but that decision was made for me this round lol

thank you as well.......after both the steelers tackles went I jumped him up my board because they both were on my very short list of targeted tackles

  5. That's true, although the majority of the Ravens defense was relatively young last year. It was really just Ray and Ed who were getting up there in years.

well the majority of my defense is young too.....my front seven are all extremely young.....and if there's anyplace vets can still contribute its at safety

Edit. im wondering what people think of my team........ill return the favor and tell you what I think of your team if you review mine...its too time consuming for me to do a full review of all the teams...but a case by case review I would be happy to do

  6. I see what you mean, and if that is in fact true, maybe he will manage to stay healthy. But there are no guarantees that he will, and as he gets older the injuries become more frequent and more problematic. It's just the nature of the game, especially for a player like Troy who plays with such intensity.

i agree with all that.....but if any franchise knows that a defense full of experienced veterens can win a superbowl its baltimore

  7. Does Troy ever go into the season saying "you know what, I dont think I am going to stay healthy?" lol Of course not. He cant just decide whether he wants to stay healthy or not. He is just like Ben, always nicked up.

the last two seasons he came into the season not healthy....this season he feels great....that's what i was saying....he made comments saying that the last couple of seasons he was fighting nagging problems from the start...but this year he feels fresh

  8. I understand and respect that and I personally do the same thing. You need a blend of youth & veterans. With that said, I still would have gone with Moore, lol. To be honest (and I get it; I would've done the same thing) I think you're blinded by your love for him as a player and a Steeler. I get it. If Lewis was still here, I probably would have taken him very early even after what I've seen from him. The mind is still great even if the body isn't.

With that said, I won't debate this any further. Your pick and your opinion. I completely respect it. I'm just giving you my perspective. I'm not really trying to debate it and never wanted to do that, so I figured I'd stop early lol.

I do like Heyward a lot. I think he's really underrated.

i admit i probably value him higher because im such a huge fan(he is my profile pick after all lol) but that doesn't mean it was a bad pick.....if i was a total homer i wouldn't have waited until the mid 200's

  9. At least Ed Reed is on the field. Can't say that about Troy, and yes he is better than a player who can't stay healthy. But that isnt the point. They didn't slide because they are Steelers, they happen to be old Steelers. Plenty of younger players on your team have been taken at appropriate points in this draft.

he isn't on the field right now.....but troy is in training camp...ed is not and wont be....and troy has had two seasons of injuries...but he still makes those plays that your used to seeing when on the field...and he feels this year he will stay healthy...he said so on multiple occasions this year...if you know troy he doesn't talk to talk...

I think it is very hard to admit when these icons just aren't what they once were.  Ed Reed, Troy Polamalu, have been the gold standard in the NFL at the safety position for the last decade plus and no one else is even close.  It has been a joy to watch these 2 athletic freaks do battle all these years, but the fact is neither is close to what they once were.  Personally I am building my team with a strong favor towards youth because I want this team to compete every single year for a decade, unfortunately Ed and Troy are not the best choice for that at this point of their careers.  Just because these guys are going in to the hall of fame doesn't make them the best choices for right now.

i have plenty of youth....the best teams are a mesh of youth and experience

  10. Timmons is a no brainer yes.

Ben yes one of the top 10 QBs in the league.

Heyward I really like - Just surprised you took him this early with others on the board, will not name names now.  I had targeted Heyward but not as early as you grabbed him.

Jones yes I understand falling in love with certain rookies, everyone knows I love Hopkins which is why he is on my team.. so I get that.  Again there is a more proven Steeler on the board in my opinion that I would have taken (not the same position)

Heyward is fantastic....and the only reason he fell as far as he did is that he hasn't started and most people don't know how good he is...but im thrilled where I got him because IMO a lot of DE's worse than him went before him

I don't disagree. I could care less about him returning to form. My point is, between William Moore and Troy Polamalu at this stage in both players' careers I would take Moore. The reason being is I feel Moore gives me more years. I think their skill is very comparable or at least very, very close. Even if Troy is a superior player, it isn't by much and the return of the investment would be more than that of Troy, IMO. I believe Moore could give you 5 solid years, maybe 6. I think Troy has about 2 more solid years if he can remain healthy. Troy's style of play doesn't necessarily lend itself to being one that keeps him clean, so the risk of injury is high with him because of his awesome style.

I don't know if anyone is belittling Troy. I know I'm not. Troy's a fantastic player but in terms of the value & return on the investments of both players, Moore is the better investment by far, IMO.

i don't disagree that troy doesn't have many years left but i feel he has a few great years left...and theres nothing wrong with a good mix of youth and vet leadership....and troy is an on field coach...that  helps my young front seven compete this year

  11. Do you want an example?

You chose Troy Polamalu at 245. William Moore was taken at 271. That's a big difference and I would have gone with Moore, personally. Between the two, Moore has a bit more longevity than Troy and as such he can play a few more years.

but what you don't understand is I think troy can return to form...so does he...so does dick....he is real healthy right now...he looks great in training camp...ive seen him with my own two eyes can you say that

  12. Nope, it's really just because they are old. I like Ryan Clark a lot as a player, but he is going to be 34. Polamalu is an old 32 who is on the decline. Just look at how long Ed Reed lasted. He is a better safety than both whose game still translates in his older age because he doesnt play in the box, but he still lasted really long due to age. You might have 2 productive years left in those players. I would much rather take a young player with upside that has his entire career ahead of him.

Troy was rated a top 100 player this year....so the players don't agree with you....also I watch him much more than you do...so just because you have a short memory and cant remember three years ago he was DPOY...also ed reed is not better than either of them right now...he might not even be healthy this year already...troy and clark are going to start week one....cant say that about reed........also two years for a player at this stage is fine.....manning was picked top ten and he has maybe two years...im trying to win now....and I have a very young front seven

  13. I think they have fallen because they are old, not because they are Steelers.

ryan clark is older but there have been a lot of safety's picked before him that are no where near as good...and in worse shape

also I know you guys disagree but troy is still a great safety.....he had two injury prone seasons...but when he is on the field he is great...he was rated a top 100 player and I got him in the 200's...so yea they fell do to age but also because you guys don't like them.

I'm less surprised with how many Steelers you are taking compared to WHICH Steelers you are taking.  The Clark pick in my estimation was a solid one.  Others a bit questionable.  there have been several Steelers I have looked at and came very close to taking one in the last round, they just haven't fallen to me in the round I want them.

which ones are you surprised with......troy and clark I talked about above.......Heyward is a young star.....Big Ben was the best QB when I picked......Jones is one of my personal favorites and you know how I feel about that pick...so who was a surprise

edit...I forgot Timmons......but he is one of the best MLB's in the game so enough said

  14. Man of Steel was surprisingly very good.

This movie has it's flaws. First off, It's too damn long for a Superman movie. 2 hours and 30 min for Superman tests my patience. Especially because a few of the scenes are pointless. They could've cut out a few of the scenes imho. Like when he finally learned how to fly. They did not have to turn it into a ten minuet long clip.

Second off, what the hell was Micheal Bay doing with the movie? I didn't know he was directing(sarcasm. He's not for those of you who are wondering). There were too many explosions, even for my liking, and I love a good action flick.

Finally, the little things they either left out, or refused to change.

Amy Adams was a good Lois Lane but her hair.

    Freeze Breath? Anywhere? Anywhere?

They didn't include Superman's super hearing powers enough.

Where was kryptonite? One of his few weaknesses?

But those are only things I hated......

I give praise to the actors. They did a fine job. I did like the casting of Laurence Fishburne, and Amy Adams. I also like Russel Crowe as Jor-El

Micheal Shannon made a good Zod, but Terrance Stamp was a better Zod.

Henry Cavill was good, but I would've kept Tom Welling as superman.

The special effects were good, but fighting scenes got out of hand. I did like how they did occasionally have to make Superman overcome his limits.

Finally, the fight scene at the end. Superman meets his match, and kills someone, something I did not expect.

It went against everything he stood for, which is why I liked it. He had no choice.

Overall, the movie is the closest thing I've seen to getting a Superman movie right.  I give it a 7/10

I hated it......there were so many things that made no sense

if I could figure out how to do the spoiler thing I would outline them

also I don't like that they made superman invincible.........the original superman was not....he couldn't fly...he didn't have laser eyes....he didn't have super hearing.......this was just a special effects nightmare.....the plot was a mixed up version of superman 2 but they forgot to make it make sense
