really? That's what everyone thought about Rice too. Ironic huh?
Wide open to the right - wide open. To me it is the end that makes it look intentional. There is no attempt to miss, no hesitation, just more power into the kick.
Put the glasses down.
the difference between rice and brown is that with brown we are talking on field so its all on camera......so we know for a fact he doesnt do this stuff. so we can say for certain its an isolated incident.
and im not the one wearing the glasses...........the majority of news, player and fan reaction is on the side of an accident, so yours is the minority opinion
it wasn't premeditated like suh were he seen a guy lying there and clearly thought im going to kick him.
Brown could however have avoided the contact from how i seen it. He left his foot there and extended it. Almost like a stiff arm with his leg. Thus it wasnt accidental. Maybe intentional was too strong a word, but def could have been avoidable I think
thats fair enough, i have a slightly different take but its similar enough that its agreeable to me.
I guess that Tomlin's "on-field" juke move last season wasn't intentional either... he was just trying to get out of the way too.
it was stupid unsafe and illegal and he should have been fined...........but it wasnt intentional so it wasnt dirty............lol ![]()
It was cleary intentional. Could have pulled out if he wanted to. Wasnt premeditated however
in what sense, unlike some other posters i know you to have thought out views so im intrigued as to your thoughts?
What was the tweet?
i believe it was
wait,wait,wait.........when did this happen?
You think an NFL veteran receiver who works on footwork around the year just happened to forget not to step on people's faces? It was his intention not to be stopped on that play. He put his foot where it needed to be to do so. Intentional. Do you really need to keep fighting that? I'm not even calling it a big deal.
so your telling me he intentionally kicked a guy in the face......he decided in a split second that the best way to score was to jump kick the punter in the face.....that sounds crazy
Stop with your Suh explanations. It doesn't matter that he was trying to hurdle him. It doesn't matter what his "instinct" was. He wasn't a victim of circumstance. He chose to hurdle a player and chose to land on a player instead of bailing so he could get more yards. Simple as that. It's not a big deal, so I don't see a suspension, but he was guilty of a dirty play and will probably be fined.
it was stupid unsafe and illegal and he should be fined.......but it wasnt intentional so it wasnt dirty
My initial reaction is that it's dirty and that Brown should be fined/suspended but then I saw that last night Spencer Lanning himself put up a humorous tweet about the play. Given that I think the NFL will fine him simply because it was an unnecessary roughness penalty and that's their M.O. but that should be the end of it IMO.
yea i liked that tweet, made me like him that he has a sense of humor
Brown specifically may not but the Steelers do. Including a Hines Ward inspired blind crack block on a Bengals punter in Week 15 of last year in which Terence Garvin was fined for.
It looks awful dirty. He jumps up - maybe initially for a hurdle - but kicks the leg out, plants it on the player, then drives through.
your right he does kick his leg out because he started the hurdle far too early......he realizes he will come down awkward so he instinctively gets his feet under him(as is common practice) it just so happens the punter cringes right into his foot(not the punters fault either) it just looks bad
what would you have said if he missed that mark by 2 inches rewatch the video and look at his cleat , if his cleat hits the corrated artery he bleeds out on the field ..............not an accident don't be a homer man admit it I just had our ups guy say he is actually not going to be a steelers fan much longer because he is sick of the teams behavior
well that guy is entitled to his feelings, but tell him that he shouldnt be a ravens fan either if all it takes is an on field kick(intentional or not) to renounce fandom he wont like a team with Rice on it. Ravens fans always say this that the steelers are thugs and its funny to me because people say that about you guys all the time. I dont think either team are thugs but its ironic to get called that on a ravens forum(especially today)
also im not being a homer......do you know anything about antonio brown......he has been in the league long enough to get the benefit of the doubt
Wide open field to the left with a lot of blockers, veers right towards the kicker and jumps up... maybe to hurdle but when he can't make it over the punter, he kicks out to the head area and pushes down with the cleats. Dirty play.
Et tu Berad........it wasnt dirty. Brown has never been that kind of player or person. as i said in another thread, if he did it on purpose he had to be some kind of Martial arts master to decide to jump kick a guy in the face........it was just an unfortunate accident. he should be fined but not suspended
Are they all on the same team? No. Do they have multiple players that are 30+ on their team? No. When was the last time Troy played a full 16 games? How about Ben? Nnamdi isnt even in the top 3 corners in SF after Culliver went down for the season. Santonio Holmes might not play this year. Anquan Boldin is old and slow as molasses. If you are leaning on him as your #1 that is not a good situation. Jackson is a deep threat only, and we have already been over your relatively poor offensive line. Gore and Leach are both old and probably have 2 more productive years MAX. Your defensive line has no one who can rush the passer. You are relying on a rookie and a 33 year old declining Freeney who struggled in a 3-4 to get any semblance of a pass-rush. It's just not a strong team.
I disagree with almost everything you've said and we have discussed most of it before.....all that I will add is that even if holmes doesn't play I have my TE as my elite target and boldin and Jackson are great compliments to him. also Nnamdi was misused in philly he is a solid man to man CB sill and gore and leach will play well this year, that's all that matters because I have Bell for the future
Well one difference is I still have an elite left side. Also bulaga will be on my team in future years still. I have your team overall a bit higher than gabe however I agree your tackles and secondary are weak points.
I agree my tackles are weak points......but my WR's are strong, my QB is strong, my LB's are strong, my RB core is good I have the best TE, my secondary has 3 vets who are good now and 2 rookies that I am real high on, my D-line is above average,
but because my tackles are weak im second to last......
Wow just heard about bulaga. That is really going to hurt the packers. My team though is ok. I just drafted beachem as my utility back up lineman and he's already played rt.
I like beachem a lot......and I follow him because he is a steeler
but he is not even close to ready to be a full time starter.........but I bet you Gabe wont be as hard on your tackle as he is on mine....I think you will be fine too but Gabe likes to claim the rest of my talented offense can be disregarded because my tackles are weak......he wont say the same for your team though watch
Its not just one bad player though. There are a lot of question marks on your team, both on offense and defense. A lot of older players, a lot of players with injury histories.
we have done this me and you many times
troy=still can play
ryan=still can play
Nnamdi=still can play
Freeney=still a valuable piece
Gore=playing the best ball of his career
and as injury history goes I don't have a single one of these players that have gotten season ending injuries in this offseason so far
Maclin
Pitta
Hernandez(legal)
crabtree
Bulaga
and so on and so on.......yet they are all ahead of me
Sorry to spoil your fun, but the LT Martin was being destroyed by the 2nd string LE today.
Imagine what Wilkerson would do
this has been debated back and forth so ill just concede for the sake of getting past it
because I don't think its as huge a deal as some of you do......he is a below average tackle fine but one sub par piece does not a team break........my team is designed to take the pressure off the tackles because they aren't my teams strength.....teams have been good doing just that many times
I predict the pick will be ziggy hood.
bingo lol....
also in regards to my position in gabes rankings......im not surprised where I rank because gabe has been down on my team from the start......I just wish we could actually see our teams play so he can see how wrong he is
if we have to skip yata do we wait another 24 hours for his next pick.....and then wait another 24 for codizle's next pick
or do we skip them both once yata's first 24 is up?
Did he play for the steelers? If not, I ain't touching him
I aslo have many ex ravens on my team......I like players that have done their job on a championship team...it shows they know what it takes...thats a plus for me
its not my fault a lot of those players played on the steelers....we are a championship caliber team frequently
Who is that?
lol its that fake player played by Deion Sanders.......it was for the draft this year, he pretended to do the combine and such for a joke
is leon sandcastle still available.......
My Ideal Coaches
HC-Mike Tomlin
OC-Ken Whisenhunt
DC-Dick Lebeau
I am shocked to see the prophet grab another steeler. Lol. Actually I really like bells potential. He should be a versatile back who can do it all. He runs a bit too upright for my taste though, similar to mendenhall.
he should be a great 2nd back behind Gore...... he can fill in to keep gore fresh
most of the players I was targeting just got taken.............I was really bumed the shark was taken
in Other NFL Teams

lets see what the league thinks.........if he gets a suspension they think it was intentional, if not they dont........simple
