  1. I was replying to the individuals who all posted the same response to my original post. I'm not back-pedaling at all on Perriman, I said what I meant. He was a "miss" as far as last year goes. The Ravens clearly drafted him that high with hopes he'd help make up for the loss of Torrey Smith. By him getting injured, he didn't play a down and thus did not remotely do what they hoped he would. That is a miss. I wasn't nor am I now saying he's a long-term miss. He was a miss last year. Comparing his situation to Rodgers is way off the mark; the Packers weren't trying to replace a HOF QB at that time; they were drafting his eventual successor. Perriman wasn't being drafted to sit for a year or two; he was drafted to immediately become the team's deep threat.
  2. Apparently you didn't read this part? "the Ravens didn't get as much bang for their initial buck as I'm sure they were hoping." Meaning Perriman made ZERO contribution his rookie year, something all teams expect from first round draft picks. That's all I was saying. Never said he is a bust. Of course I'm hoping he goes on to have a great career.

  6. Gotta hit on this draft to set ourselves up for the next 4 to 5 seasons. We can't afford more misses like Kindle, Cody, Upshaw, Elam, Arthur Brown, or even Perriman for that matter with our top picks. And yes I realize Upshaw was a contributor and Perriman can still develop, but when you consider how high they were picked compared with their immediate contributions...the Ravens didn't get as much bang for their initial buck as I'm sure they were hoping.
  7. Anyone watching Monday night saw why Harbs has to be regarded as one of the best head coaches in the league. To have your guys playing so hard, for nothing more than pride, is a resounding endorsement of your head coach's abilities.
  8. Special guy, and hopefully a special back as well.
  9. Not sure who, but somebody needs to get fired.
  10. Guess here is he will take Urban's spot once they put Brent on the IR-designated to return list.
  11. Monroe's post about Yanda is awesome in so many ways. If I were him, I wouldn't be on social media either. Smart man!
  12. Get healthy guys, the regular season is right around the corner.
  13. I'm with sami on this one. Joe's is more Adam Levine-ish: Ryan's is more Macklemore-ish (a FB friend of mine pointed that out, so giving him credit here): Heck, if Ryan lightened his hair, the above could pass for a picture of him!
  14. Guys can get hurt slipping on a sidewalk (Bryant McKinnie anyone?). I'd rather weed out the guys who can't stay healthy now, with hard practices, than get caught with our pants down during the regular season. Remember, no practice is ever going to be as hard as the real games, and other teams are going to cut good players, just like the Ravens are going to cut good wide receivers. I believe you have a much better chance of back-filling a need with a quality player prior to the regular season than you do once all the rosters are set. Sure you can pick a guy off of someone's practice squad, but I'm referring to just after the final wave of cuts when teams will swap out guys for their final active rosters last-minute, based on who they think best fit their needs.
  15. Our yes is yes and our no is no. The media never understands or accepts that, because it's just not good for hits, view, etc.
  16. How can you not love Harbs? Unless of course you're not a Ravens fan, I guess. LOL!
  17. Name one Ravens FA "who got away" outside of Priest Holmes who went on to do way bigger-n-better things than they did with the Ravens prior to departing? Thought so...
  18. We'll never know what Brady would like like without Bellicheat, but we will be able to see how the Deflatriots and Hoodie do without Brady. I'm looking forward to it personally, as I fully expect to still have Harbs and Joe Cool leading our Ravens to playoff victories while those Boston blowhards become nothing more than "chowda."
  19. That's like saying take away Ray Lewis' tackles made beyond the line of scrimmage, he wasn't much. LOL! Players make plays on the field. Granted, you need good coaches to coach up developmental guys and scheme both for and during games, but the players are the ones who have to execute the X's and O's. Yes, you've got to hand it to Bellicheat for knowing to throw like crazy vs. us in the playoffs then turn around and run like crazy vs. the Colts, but his players (especially Brady against us), had to make the plays happen. I dislike Brady as much as the next non-Patriots fans, but you can't honestly diminish or deny his consistent success at winning games from the QB position. Now you can argue that I can't deny Bellicheat's success either, which I certainly cant...but I'll stick by my notion that it's had to do more with Brady than him, regardless of Cassell's one fluke year.
  20. Time will tell...but I'm not sold on Bellicheat's genius, sorry.
  21. Bellicheat was an absolute JOKE in cLEAVEland and anyone who followed the Clowns (like I sadly did) back then knows it. After riding on Parcells' coat-tails a few years he hitched his wagon to Tom Brady and hasn't looked back. The majority of the time all "great" coaches had all-star QBs, and vice versa I suppose. Let's see how he does once the Golden Boy hangs 'em up.
  22. The article is about offensive tackles; Urschel plays guard primarily and can play center, while Myers is a rookie guard prospect.
