I was replying to the individuals who all posted the same response to my original post. I'm not back-pedaling at all on Perriman, I said what I meant. He was a "miss" as far as last year goes. The Ravens clearly drafted him that high with hopes he'd help make up for the loss of Torrey Smith. By him getting injured, he didn't play a down and thus did not remotely do what they hoped he would. That is a miss. I wasn't nor am I now saying he's a long-term miss. He was a miss last year. Comparing his situation to Rodgers is way off the mark; the Packers weren't trying to replace a HOF QB at that time; they were drafting his eventual successor. Perriman wasn't being drafted to sit for a year or two; he was drafted to immediately become the team's deep threat.

Gotta hit on this draft to set ourselves up for the next 4 to 5 seasons. We can't afford more misses like Kindle, Cody, Upshaw, Elam, Arthur Brown, or even Perriman for that matter with our top picks. And yes I realize Upshaw was a contributor and Perriman can still develop, but when you consider how high they were picked compared with their immediate contributions...the Ravens didn't get as much bang for their initial buck as I'm sure they were hoping.

Anyone watching Monday night saw why Harbs has to be regarded as one of the best head coaches in the league. To have your guys playing so hard, for nothing more than pride, is a resounding endorsement of your head coach's abilities.
