This feels like a Harbaugh pick: a no-name DB who would have gone undrafted to play special teams. Hopefully this prevents Humphrey from playing ST though.

I thought of that too. When I see our roster, it just screams 4-3 to me.

I love that we're going all in on defense. Back to Ravens football. Just get to the QB and let this D win games for us.

Didn't want him as our DC at all, but the man is a heck of a DBs coach. It's definitely a blow.

I guess Harbs isn't watching his team's games. Can't get this decision at all.

We fail to make the playoffs again and Harbs in a contract year we decide to let him go. Steve and Ozzie need to figure this out now and how to go about it. Either we let Harbaugh go next week, along with the coaching staff(minus Jerry Rosberg), and start fresh. Or Harbs, Marty and Pees get 1 more year to turn it around in a make or break it year. That way whether it's 2017 or 2018, we start fresh and not hire new coordinators and then fire the head coach, hire a new head coach who wants his own guys and once again have a revolving door. Either everyone stays in 2017 in a make it or break it year or everyone is let go next week.

That's actually a great point. Hadn't thought about that.

Half kidding, but Shanahan fits the mold of what I want our next head coach to be. Realistically speaking, Joe could be playing til he's 39, like Brady is. We still need a guy that can get the best out of Joe. That's an offensive guru a la Kubiak or Shanahan, not a special teams guy whose best asset is rah rah motivation.

Just to be clear, I don't think Harbs should get fired. But if he does and we're talking about hiring an offensive mind, why not consider McDaniels?

I really don't think Bisciotti is ready to fire Harbaugh just yet. I could be wrong, though.

EDIT: If he does, Harbaugh will have a new job within 2 minutes.

I don't think there is any way Harbaugh gets canned after this season. I do think he will be fired if we miss the playoffs next year, though.
