  1. It's like some of you have never even heard of Ozzie Newsome.
  2. Again, I'd rather have targeted a position of need, but I like our pick.
  3. I would rather get Clinton-Dix due to our needs, but I think C.J. Mosley will be an outstanding player for us. I'm guessing that losing Jimmie Ward to San Fran wasn't on the FO's plans, though. Maybe they thought they could get him in day 2.
  4. Great pick, but I wanted HaHa
  5. Low risk, high reward. What's not to like?
  6. I still think we should have gotten EDS, but I'm happy we got Zuttah. I think he can be solid, and that's what we need.
  7. I don't know. Maybe if he stays in the open market for a long time, but I don't think Ozzie is gonna make a move soon.
  8. On the one hand, I agree with you on this point. On the other hand, it's worth noticing that this is a really deep draft. While it's important to have hit a franchise player now that we have the opportunity, it's even more important that we take advantage of the level of talent of this class, imo. We may very well hit a franchise player drafting this high and he will be an important asset, no doubt. But with as many needs as we have, we have to think about improving this team all around, and I think this can be a great year to do so. Due to the level of talent we see this year, I think we should take as much as solid starters as we can. Again, it all comes down to who's left on the board when we're on clock, but trading down seems like a great option to me. Specially given the fact that we don't have a lot of draft picks this year and we need to take advantage of this opportunity.
  9. Yeah, of course. It all comes down to what happens on draft day and who are the guys left on the board, but trading down would make a lot of sense for us to take advantage of such a deep draft, specially because we have a lot of needs.
  10. The more I think about it, the more I figure Ozzie will trade down for more picks. This draft is very deep on WRs, we can trade down, still get a nice WR in the first round and use our 2nd round picks to address TE/OL. Then I think Ozzie could get a CB in the third round.
  11. Honestly, I'd be very happy with Zuttah. Hope we can sign him.
  12. Yeah I was on a Panthers board right now reading some of their comments. Really classy guys. http://www.carolinahuddle.com/boards/topic/98789-ravens-sign-steve-smith/
  13. Ozzie is a freaking monster.
  14. Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 45s Thought Jacoby Jones visiting the Giants today was a leverage play. Turns out, he turned down more money elsewhere to stay in Baltimore Expand
  15. It would be rough seeing Monroe go. Not only because of his talent, but because of the draft picks we traded. Still, I've got a lot of confidence in Ozzie.
  16. Aaron Wilson ‏@RavensInsider58s Ravens won't be retaining tight ends coach coach Wade Harman, according to a source Expand
  17. Man, I'm so excited! I really really hope we can get Kubiak
  18. Is this a dream? Am I dreaming right now?
  19. Isn't it just a little bit interesting that a guy who was in San Fran the year Hostler was their OC says they had very poor personnel and that's why they were last? I mean, that was what we were discussing here not many pages ago. Again, I can understand and relate to the fact that many people want a proven OC, but it may be too soon to judge Hostler as an OC.
  20. My bad. But I see what you mean, it's a good point.
  21. I think what I meant wasn't very clear lol sorry What I meant was that there are some coordinators in the NFL that worked as coaches in college but never as OCs/DCs. Their first shot as coordinators were in the NFL. In that case: Adam Gase, Pete Carmichael Jr, Leslie Frazier, Sean McDermott, Dan Quinn, Jack Del Rio...
  22. There are plenty of successful coordinators that started their careers as OCs/DCs in the NFL, no problem there. Though I can understand and relate to the fact that it would be nice to have a proven OC.
  23. I'd be okay with Kirby but I'd be really excited to have Shanahan
  24. It amazes me how people can think so little of a great coach such as Harbs. He is a winner and has proved that over the years. I agree that it would be nice to have a proven OC but Hostler might not be that bad. Some users said some interesting things about his time in San Fran, sometimes you have to put things in perspective. It's not all black and white. I completely trust coach Harbs to make his decision and I will give Hostler a chance before I can say anything about his work as OC (if he gets the job)
