  1. I'm not a fan of the if our secondary remains healthy, we are that much better this year argument. Mainly because if our secondary was healthy last year we would've been better. Kyle Arrington was a great signing, but to give it an A, I'd need another veteran outside CB for depth. (Someone other than Vaughn)

I'd also like to see a little more experience for receiver. I know we all want to see what these young guys can do, but no matter what the potential of some of these younger guys, you just can't overlook previous production on this level. Hopefully these young guys make me eat my words.

Id give us a B to B+. Overall, we have a very solid roster with great depth. I see our offense starting the season slow with the young talent at WR and te, but picking up by midseason. A lot of check down passes to Forsett. I see our defense being a top unit in the league.

  2. I'm calling:

    SSS

    Perriman

    Aiken

    Camp

    Brown

    Waller

I'd like to see Butler make it. I think in order for him to, Camp needs to be injured or Waller gets IR treatment. I don't see Waller going to PS.

I think Carter also lands on PS for if/when Camp is injured.

I'm interested in seeing what Means is all about. The last "sleeper" Oz talked up was Chykie last year.

I think TE, DL, and S are going to be good position battles imo. There's just so many new names and young guys getting opportunities this year at those positions.

Another good position to watch is Guard to give you an idea what we may do next year with that situation.

  3. If we were to sign Brown, I may stand alone with this but I think Vaughn is the odd man out. I feel like Asa is a talented young guy that has potential at CB and as a RS.

I didn't see the details of Vaughn's deal, but I only see him as a camp body. I also think Walker is going to the practice squad.

I guess I have a little more faith in Asa than most. I think he is the better option because of familiarity to the system.

  4. just because we select a guy doesn't mean we have to like him.

I wouldn't even say people like him, I'd say more cautiously optimistic as I am with all of our picks. Why wouldn't you be with Ozzie and Co at the helm? I guess that's a blessing in itself. However! if I was better than a world class scouting department, I'd have my doubts too. I asked this once before, but how do you not have a job anywhere with your amazingly in depth analysis and laser like accuracy on who will be a stud or dud?

  5. About Perriman: ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. : “Wildcard Pick for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year”. This was over every other WR drafted and/or current QB/WR combinations in the league. Enough said.

I hope so, but that might be Kiper just being a homer. He's been drinking a lot of purple Kool-aid lately. That's also a wildcard, which means he is choosing from the not so obvious candidates that were in this year's class.

  6. I was expecting maybe Eli Manning to get the nod at qb, or at least someone who's been to the playoffs... Not Flacco of course 'cause he's'over-rated,' but Tannehill surprised me.

Tannehill can play! If the dolphins would get him some protection they would be contenders.

  7. Robert Kraft is now trying his "politicking" (pun intended) by going to Peter King and his MMQB column having this go out the day before the Owners' Meetings in SF start tomorrow. If Kraft is trying to garner sympathy, it is falling on deaf ears here...how ridiculous! Kraft sounds like a petulant 5 yr. old jumping up and down shouting "it isn't fair, it just isn't fair".

It is clear that this is an attempt to sway the other owners by Kraft, imho, by his comment:

“I just get really worked up. To receive the harshest penalty in league history is just not fair. The anger and frustration with this process, to me, it wasn’t fair. If we’re giving all the power to the NFL and the office of the commissioner, this is something that can happen to all 32 teams. We need to have fair and balanced investigating and reporting. But in this report, every inference went against us … inferences from ambiguous, circumstantial evidence all went against us. That’s the thing that really bothers me.

“If they want to penalize us because there’s an aroma around this? That’s what this feels like. If you don’t have the so-called smoking gun, it really is frustrating. And they don’t have it. This thing never should have risen to this level.”

Here is a link to King's MMQB article to read for yourself if you dare:

    http://mmqb.si.com/2015/05/18/robert-kraft-patriots-owner-nfl-deflategate/5/

    My take aways from this:

Kraft is thinking he is swaying the other owners with the underline comment from the above quote... the read between the lines interpretation...if they can do this to me they will do this to you, so beware.

Aroma??? Really Kraft??? This is laughable. Perhaps someone should explain the concept of "circumstantial evidence" to Robert Kraft. It is REAL evidence! Or would Kraft take Hernandez back if he wins an appeal because his case was based on circumstantial evidence. LMAO.

Kraft is still ticked off because his team wasn't told before hand about the deflation of footballs, and that is why his butt is so chapped because he sees this as Goodell turning on him, lol.

Biggest take away...if the NE Patriots were not guilty of anything relating to deflategate then why suspend McNally and Jastremski? A question Kraft refused to answer due to in his words "a variety of reasons".

Bottom line...just more hot air from the Patriots!

That article was pretty funny, the only problem I have with that scenario happening however, is that there is in fact 31 other teams and owners. Do you think Goodell would risk his job for Robert Kraft? I sure hope he wouldn't.
