  1. Weren't we like 2nd or 3rd in 4th down attempts last year? Harbs is one of the most aggressive head coaches in the game. People saying we wouldn't go for it in a regular season game didn't see last year. I some times would pull my hair out because we would fail in the redzone twice in the same game and that changed outcomes in games. I like the aggressiveness but when we don't convert it makes me wanna scream.

Same here. Those Bengals games almost killed me. If they had just taken three points in the first half....

    *sigh*

  2. Worth a coffee break read. Not everyone in Boston believes Brady.

I wonder if he'll get fired for that.

    I hope not.

No matter what happens now, the hard-earned accomplishments of Brady and the Patriots are tarnished.

Maybe it's just me, but weren't they called Cheatriots before this? I think there was like a thing with cameras or something....

    /sarcasm.

Anyway, that is a good read. I had forgotten some of things that were mentioned in that.

  3. The US has won the last two championships and today (7pm) they are going for the hat trick. Japan won the first two IFAF gold metal games. And, according to the announcers, football has been played in Japan since 1936.

Also worth noting: the International Olympic Committee has given International Federation of American Football provisional recognition. This is an important step that could lead to football becoming an Olympic sport as early as 2024.

Team USA leads 8-0 after intercepting on Japan's first possession.

You can watch on ESPN 3 or ESPN International and you can legally stream from ESPN.go.com.

  4. Didn't DiCaprio win one for Titanic? Thunder island was a good movie with DiCap as well. Also Black Diamond.

It's pretty incredible that he hasn't won one yet. He was great in Shutter Island and Blood Diamond, but I guess those weren't indy enough or something. I've given up trying to understand.

  5. Speaking of Marvel, any thoughts on Tom Holland as the new Wall Crawler?

I'm just glad that there won't be another origins story. When I found out they were looking at 12 year olds, I thought we would have to go through the spider bite again.

  6. If The Last Guardian really does get released, I might have to come out of retirement and get the Ps4.

I agree. It was quoted as probably taking 5 years to create. I could die in the next 5 years! They need to hurry up

I feel your pain. I was waiting for FF vs 13 for years...

  7. No. Does it take place in SA?

Yes it did. Its about a guy who rents a car and then finds out there is a kidnp victim in the trunk.

Paul Walker starred in Vehicle 19.

What? Winter Soldier was one the best stand alone marvel movies, along with iron man and just about as good as Avengers to me.

I was so bored that I didnt even finish watching it.

  8. I just saw Jurassic World. It was fun and entertaining, in my humble opinion. Certainly not cerebral, but not nearly as bad as some are making it out to be.

In other news: I realized that the Russo brothers were responsible for the Winter Soldier and will also direct Capt. America 3 as well as the next two Avengers films.

Suddenly, I'm not looking forward to them as much...

Chappie was really good. Although as most know my wife is South African and, like District 9, we got a little extra out of it.

Did you happen to catch Vehicle 19 a few years ago?

  9. 49ers safety Eric Reid (23-years old and two NFL seasons) has said he has contemplated retirement due to concussions.  He has suffered three in two seasons.

Maybe he could be an example for Wes Welker to follow...

Either way, it sounds like he has a good head on his shoulders.

    Too soon?

  10. I think the Chargers are going to provide a challenge this year.

It seems like they are always challenging to the Ravens. (Though personally, after hey-diddle-diddle, I don't begrudge them that)

  11. At least Newton has done more than all of those QBs on that list. He's led the Panthers to two straight NFC South titles(no team in the NFC South has ever done that), no matter it was against a Palmer less Cardinals, he does have a playoff victory, a home playoff victory at that. Dalton still has zero playoff wins. The only one more accomplished than Newton is Kapernick who took the 49ers to the Super Bowl in 2012.

You made some good points. Newton is no Flacco, but he's not a slouch either.
