It's time to panic. We have no offense and our defense is suspect.
The pre-season is not the time to panic.
Unless your starting qb gets injured or something... provided his name is not RGIII.
This preseason is like the early Harbaugh days: the refs just won't give Baltimore a break.
Why Harbaugh didn't challenge an obvious first down is amazing to me...
These refs are not competent and Baltimore has only one time out left and quite a bit of time on the clock. Besides, inside 50 is usually money so it probably seemed like a good idea.
I knew SSS was going to get ejected.
What are the headlines going to be tomorrow?
That's how to bounce back.
Whatever you say. Guess the NFL just loves to suspend it's Super Bowl MVP and punish the championship team just for giggles.
That's PR 101, didn't ya know?
In all seriousness, it drives me nuts when people try to say that the league has it out for the Pats. They have been bending over backwards to change rules and their application for years in order to benefit that team.
Simply put, production companies want awards, and studios want money. The problem is, the studios are the ones that have the money in the first place, so those independent movies might look just as polished but have no budegt left for promotions and the same large number of screens to play on.
There's usually one or two each year that carry their big box office into the awards season. Last year, it was (unpredicted) mega-hit American Sniper. Before that, it was Gravity. However, there's a reason that it seems all but one Best Picture nom is also nominated in the Spirit Awards, and it's the one I gave above. Studios don't want to back the movies made to appeal to critics. They don't usually translate to broad mass appeal, especially in foreign markets, which are taking more precedent nowadays.
This always concerns me a little bit. I hope I don't wake up one morning to find that every movie in the theater is like those European films that have no endings, or that they are completely bereft of drama and character development because those things can be harder to translate than pure action.
The only recent big exception that I can think of is LOTR. They had the best of both worlds. No doubt. Like any business, you have to know your goals and audience/customers. Very rarely do you see a film hit the level of commercial success paired with the awards to go with it. Its usually one or the other. You either have to go for the acclaim or the $$$ and sacrifice pieces either way.
It seems like that's usually the case. The Oscar noms always seem to be little indie films that I've never heard of. Of course, I don't have as much time for movies as I once did. That's the game we play in this business. Often times, Oscars and money are two very separate things for most departments.
How indecisively she raised her arms to signal TD. She had no clue what call to make and didn't raise her hands until Tebow told her to.
At least she has the excuse of being new to the job. I'm not sure what all the other refs problems are.
Then on the flip side there's Breshad lol
How do we know what he looks like? *
*Joke
I think we all knew that was coming back... because what else could it be?
The kicking rule change is ridiculous.
If the NFL doesn't like easy points, then stop neutering defenses; leave the kickers alone.
Waller is a baller.
Well could be worse ... Vikings game has a weather delay
In the dome?
Renner has such a weak arm.
So winning the game might be an unrealistic goal at this point. I'm beginning to wonder if they can simply avoid a shut-out.
Vaugh is making a compelling argument for himself.
Female officiating...soon pink flags in pockets...no contact or being meanies...
Sounds like an October game against the Patriots.
good news is that 24 points is not an insurmountable deficit
Maybe not, but the back-ups are going to have to play their hearts out.
What a bummer for Washington. I'm not sure if they had a lot of hopes and dreams for this year (actually, I believe their GM said they wouldn't be a good team) but all of them might have just been dashed.
I kept hearing how this might be RGIII last season with them if he couldn't turn things around. I don't know how severe this injury might be, but it doesn't look like a good start to the season...
It's summer - maybe he went camping?
I see what you did there.
He's not the receiver I'm concerned about though.
Thanks for setting this up again, Pu.
Steelers go down again
I'm always happy to hear that. Even if it is just pre-season.
I want to see Tim Tebow!
And it would be nice if Perriman made it onto the field and if Jimmy and Webb could begin to make last season a distant memory. Oh and a stop within 2 minutes for Harbs.

If the usual two minute trend continues, Baltimore will probably go into the locker room behind by one point after leading for so long.
