I have no doubt that if that Tom Brady had been taken down like that, it would have been a penalty.
If the Pats win the SB and lose to the Steelers in back-to-back games, I'm not going to be happy.
Of course, this game can't make me happy anyway.
Wish they could both lose somehow lol
They sort of can, but I hate to root for injuries.
I don't know if NE is going to be able to stop the bleeding in their run defense.
Well I'm sure they'll find some rule loophole that they can slip through...
Renner has improved, but his arm is so weak. Even the short throws look like the-little-pass-that-could.
The way we're playing right now doesn't give me comfort for the Denver game and our road trip starting the regular season.
At least these guys probably won't be playing much in that game if at all.
Stop with the flags.
I know the secondary can't cover, but why is tackling so difficult? Are they all secretly nursing injuries?
Honestly, even before that he's been bad. I don't think he's looked sharp since Preseason Game 1. Even when he had a better line earlier in the game when he took over in the 2Q, he has looked pretty eh. He's had no pocket awareness or ability to escape pressure. I guess it's not fair since it's not like he's our franchise guy and he's older now so what do we really expect? Still, man, this guy really has lost a lot of his touch. It's fair to say it. He's not the same guy he was before.
Oh his overall play has been horrid, but I just meant that particular incident.
Absolutely, No Campanaro tonight, no Perriman. Steve Smith in excellent form. Aiken is reliable. Honestly Perriman completely changes the dynamics of the offense with his deep ball ability and Camp is the shifty chain mover on intermediate routes.
I like your optimism.
I'm not going to blame Schaub for that. He had no time at all. This line needs improvement.
Schaub literally walked into that sack.
It's easy to get worked up right now but I'm surprisingly calm. Just preseason non-sense at this point. We are REALLY digging into the depth chart. Only things actually concerning me are Schaub and the corner depth.
You feel confident about the receivers?
Not quite there yet. It'd be a pick six if that were the case....
You make a good point. Schaub is just warming up.
As badly as he's playing, I have to wonder if he will make the cut.
He probably has an expensive contract that will make it somewhat inconvenient.
Schaub looks like he's in mid season form.
Thanks for info, post game "handshake" between coaches will be interesting.
For sure.
He also asked Harbs about the fumble and Harbs said something like "Well, you can't fumble the football, you have to hold onto it."
And finally there was a question about the 2 minute defense which earned an equally abrupt response.
After one of those last two, Harbs said he'd be happy to answer a good question.
What is with the tackling (or lack thereof) on this team? For the last two years they have been suspect at best.
Buck Allen. Not good hasn't shown me he is anything better than a three at this point. We need another WR. Aiken is a three.
Z. Smith now has three hands to the face penalties in about a half of play.
Like to see McGee get more play at RB.
What happened to maxx?
Schaub is horrible.
Pretty pleased with the starters considering the injuries.
We have exactly one quality WR.
That's pretty much the story of the franchise.
I miss Harb interview cause game is on ABC national, not local down here. What did he say?
The interviewer foolishly asked about the fight and the disagreement between Harbs and Gruden.
Harbs said he wasn't going to talk about that and asked if there were any questions about football.
2 minute defense. crap.
secondary. crap.
WRs don't look all that great outside of Smith Sr.
Run D looks good.
At this point I see a season of new excuses for the Pees crowd. Same old, same old.
Well, as you said, the secondary players are not very good. Since that is the case, the Ravens are at a severe disadvantage during the final two minutes when teams playing from behind are even more likely to try to score quickly ie pass.
That said, I'm a bit concerned about the lack of pass rush. You just can't have a sub-par secondary and front seven.
That fumble rule is so dumb. Any player should be able to recover the ball on any down. Good thing it's preseason. Redskins brought their lucky horseshoe tonight.
If I understand correctly, any player can recover the ball, but they cannot advance it. So I guess the ball was "down" where Allen lost it which was outside of the endzone.
Not the starting Oline plus not the full playbook equals preseason; don't freak out.
I can't freak out over a pre-season game, but I'm not encouraged either.
The Ravens normally have something resembling depth, but as soon as they pulled some of the defensive starters, this whole game got out of hand.
Harbs is not happy.
He had to have known that the first question would not get the juicy response he was looking for. It all went downhill from there.
These refs are completely incompetent. I know that any decision they make will be wrong.
Edit: Except for that one.
If you want to hold on to your job, hold on to the ball.
Please just take the lead into the locker room.
Oh wait, it is just the pre-season after all. Despite Tucker's miss, they need the practice more than he does.
What in the world was that?
If the usual two minute trend continues, Baltimore will probably go into the locker room behind by one point after leading for so long.
This defense is as predictable as Cam Cameron's offense. Hopefully, it won't continue in the real games.
Harbs must be furious. I can only imagine his pre-halftime interview.

Ah man, is DHB going to be like that now? I hope it was a fluke.
