This was Elam's last chance to prove that he belongs on this team.
Even with this underwhelming secondary, he still stands out like an infected wound.

Matt Elam
Well, when you go down by 16 early, you can't make many mistakes from then on.
That was a big mistake.

And the safety and pretty much the entire first half.

How? They're not ones with a good excuse.
These penalties are killers. What are they up to now? Surely it's double digits.
Just now, Sir Spooky said:Or Wallace. Patriots are running zones all day because they know we are a short passing team.
Again? They have given that a couple of shots, but it didn't work out too well.

I'd be more nervous if he tried to scoop up a ball too close to the endzone (then he might end up like the Pats returner).
It's that punter that is killing them.
Lol "more opporunities in the Ravens backfield" is like 6 carries a game.
Of course you can add another 10 checkdowns...
I don't mind letting it bound when it's that's close, but dang couldn't someone help the O out a little?

I know Rivers isn't Peyton or Brady, but look at Peyton and Brady. Quarterbacks are so coddled these days they don't have to retire until they're eligible for AARP.
San Diego would have to be an attractive opportunity.
Well that escalated quickly.
We all know what NFL stands for = not for long.
The ST finally did something right (sans Tucker). Now they can get another field goal if they don't turn the ball over.
Well everyone, we wanted some deeper throws, but nothing good happens when they try.
New England is just having fun now.

Sounds like last year.
Of course, New York had to go and ruin things.

this is hard to watch.. literally nothing happening
it's either a short run/check down or sack
Or a turnover...
Is NE's secondary really that dominant?
1 minute ago, Deflated Football said:Good thing we're a second half team...
Hopefully. They've had few games in which they went up 10-0 and then did next to nothing for the other three quarters (or absolutely nothing in the case of the Dallas game).
At least they avoided the shutout.

Outside of Cleveland and the Dolphins, Baltimore's offense has been underwhelming all year long. They can't run (and often don't) and the passing game hasn't blown anyone (other than the aforementioned 2) away. Aren't they ranked in the low 20's of the league?
Besides if NE has such an undermanned defense, why have they only lost two games all year?
1 minute ago, ravensdfan said:omg I do not like this call even if we make it
I think it's four down territory. The Pats have more than 2 minutes left and the defense hasn't had an answer. So they're looking at going down 3 tds.

Yeah, he's got some maturing to do.
Zuttah's going through concussion protocol?
Can they just end the game now before Baltimore loses more starters?
Edit: I kid. There is still time for a Cleveland-esque comeback... I hope.

It's not nearly enough time for this offense. Just think about how many penalties they are going to commit, plus the 2 yard checkdowns, plus the tackles for loss if they run.
And even if they transform into a much better offense they still have score a td, recover an onside kick and kick a field goal, just. to. tie.
