That was pathetic. Pittsburgh is missing all of those players, but instead of capitalizing on the opportunity, Washington just threw up all over themselves.
There's basically no way that a team of their caliber can win out so that was probably the season.
After that 6-2 game At Home, I really shouldn't be suprised, but I'm still mad.
Most of all I'm disappointed in myself for actually believing things could be different this year. Well, at least I have the regular season to look forward too, that's more than some fans can say.
I need to scope out a bandwagon team to pin my hopes on. I wanted it to be Montreal since Quebec is so beautiful, but that didn't work out.
Forsett was one of the good ones. I'm glad that he played for my team.

Or all members could choose to say only complimentary things to each other... then no one will earn a warning.
It's nice of you to consider your fellow members though.

That's perfect.
I have a Heap jersey but it's black and I have a pink Reed jersey. I can't decide which to wear.

Not me. I liked the first one but I'm going to wait for V2 to go to bluray.

Yeah, but in the NHL Playoffs the Caps are generally the victims of improbably come-backs, not the victors.
24 minutes ago, Pats said:Yeah honestly man, the thought of back to back pens titles is making me sick. Hopefully nashville/edmonton/st louis stop them. I know pens have a good offense but braden needs to do better. Also pens are missing letang and murray so there's no excuse on the offense side of things. You guys should get rid of trotz honestly, if you have babcock, julien, laviolette, quinvelle, the sens coach or even mike yeo you would fair so much better. Hell even AV from the rangers would do better, trotz is lost in the post season. Two wasted presidents cups, unbelievable.
Yeah Trotz should not return next season. I'm not going to pretend like I have all the answers but I don't think the Caps decision makers will let him stay after the team has failed so spectacularly year after year like this.
28 minutes ago, Pats said:damn, 5-2 now. Holtby isn't saving a thing and MAF is a brick wall. Caps have outshot the pens in both games too. I don't see ottawa or NY stopping the pens either. At this point all we can hope for is somehow for caps to have a miracle comeback or for western conference team to beat them.
A 6-2 loss was about as bad as it gets despite Washington's furious first period.
Poor Holtby is having a terrible series with 6 goals allowed in 2 games. Grubauer didn't fare much better with 2 in less than entire period (don't know how many shots).
It's hard to picture the Caps evening things up in Pittsburgh so this series is probably lost.
If the Penguins win the Cup again I will rage-quit hockey.

At this rate they'll take it in 4.
You're right about this being a must win game. If the Caps can't come back from this 3-1 deficit to win this match, they are all but done.

This team has too many needs to fix within two draft rounds,
2 minutes ago, arnie_uk said:They literally made 2 picks over 6 mins and had another advert break
You mean they had 6 straight minutes of coverage before a break? Thats better than the games at least.

For what its worth he said that he tried to move up in the first round but it didn't work out. He might have tried today too.
1 minute ago, DomMcRaven said:I believe both.
Yeah... I dont think they have a bunch of different announcers on call just so they can go with a theme for their pick. That oline man probably would have said the name no matter what position was chosen.
3 minutes ago, DomMcRaven said:I mean they made it obvious with who they brought up to the podium.
Aren't the draft pick announcers chosen before the draft like that kid the Ravens granted a wish for or former players that they've used in the past?
3 minutes ago, Adreme said:So the question is...what do the Ravens do with Carr?
He'll be a starter, but his partner will change to Humphry after Jimmy's annual injury.
Does Hooker have a bad injury history?
So Pitt is 8-1 in playoff series against Washington, but the Caps are 8-1 in game ones.
Pens lead 2-1 at the start of the third.

Their O-line has as many holes as Swiss cheese. I wouldn't have a problem with an offensive lineman.
Mod note: Any and all discussions about the Caps/Pens game should be posted in the NHL playoffs thread in the off-topic forum.

If this were Friday night, I'd still be annoyed by that. But it's Thursday; people have to get up for work tomorrow.
But one of the benefits of the Ravens recent records is that I no longer need to stay up late to see them pick... unless they trade down. Please don't trade down.

Some teams like to wait it out just in case a team calls them and offer them a trade they can't refuse.
It ticks me off when it takes 28 minutes to get the third pick in.
Now that I think of it... I didn't tune in until 8:13 and Cleveland still hadn't chosen. What gives?
3 minutes ago, Grapple Raven said:Jags picked really quickly.
There's no reason not to.
I don't understand why early teams take so long. Their draft board can't be shaken up very much when they're picking 1-6.
I don't know why Chicago thought they had to do that, but I'm glad they did. Now everyone else is going to catch QB fever.

My daughter, her biological father killed himself when she was 16 month old. Having not only that void, but the sudden loss DID in fact have en effect on her lateer on in life. She doesn't remember a thing, but the event DID have an effect on her.
I'm sorry for about what happened to your family.
You bolded this part of my comment: "That kid probably barely knows him and at her age she could forget him pretty quickly."
Your statement about a young child's memory (or lack thereof) would seem to agree with what I wrote previously.

that being said, I'm sending prayers out to his four year old daughter. She must feel terrible/had to bear the burden of having a convicted murdered as her father
I don't mean to make light of the situation but Hernandez was imprisoned in 2013, right? That kid probably barely knows him and at her age she could forget him pretty quickly. A name as common as Hernandez won't be likely to arouse suspicion at the playground either. If the friends and family don't bring him up too often as the years go bye he might become a distant memory for his child.
But regardless, all of this senseless loss of life is sad: Odin, the two other men, and even Hernandez.
