  1. Oh my gosh, stop throwing flags. I don't even care that it's against the Browns; I don't like flag football.
  2. Well if Baltimore can't get things done, I would at least like to see someone challenge NE. Cincy could be the best hope.
  3. with the way NE has been playing, I wouldn't have given them a shot either way, especially after a bye in NE.
  4. I think he was out for the last three games and part of the opener... kind of like Monroe.
  5. I figured Houston would show up against a divisional rival, at home, during prime-time. I was wrong. I also figured that if I stopped watching the NFL it would be due to them moving the Superbowl to London, or because they started playing too many games like basketball, baseball, and hockey. But it's the flags that might drive me away.
  6. That's the spirit you guys! No, no, no. Webby's a starter at a shallow position. We don't want 2015' wrs + 2014's dbs.But Detroit clearly likes to have alot of Ravens on their roster, so I like where you're going. In all seriousness, it sure would be nice to have CJ's teammate. I didn't realize that Tate played so well last year.
  7. If you're going to make an outlandish proposal, you might as well shoot for the moon. Calvin Johnson's contract will be 24 million dollars against the cap next year. Detroit will undoubtedly need to make a change there. He's also 30 and on a team that has an even worse record. I'll see myself out... Don't take that too seriously, okay? That said, I wouldn't be shocked or even surprised if Oz makes another move, but it will probably come out of left field.
  8. As the saying goes, timing is everything. Yeah, it's hard to beat being a starter at the most important position in the game. I have to wonder if Ngata would be performing better if here still in Baltimore... kinda like (nearly) every linebacker that leaves.
  9. I sure hope they aren't as fortunate on Sunday nights. That's when Baltimore is scheduled to play them.
  10. It's time for a random, useless fact. http://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2015/10/05/nfl-quarter-season-surprises-disappointments-mvp
  11. Man, was it really that low?Well, anyways, that is indeed what I was going for.
  12. Preach it. There is literally nothing else that needs to be said. Good post. I had no idea that Aiken was a Patriot. Your posting this made me go "whatever happened to that guy?"Apparantly, Hakeem Nicks hurt his knee fallling to the turf and was never the same afterwards. I still like the idea of signing him (he couldnt be any worse than who they have), but it makes me really concerned about Perriman.
  13. They haven't given the Ravens easy wins in a long time. I'm glad the mini bye is before this game. Of course, at 1-3 no one can be taken lightly. It's hard to win shootouts when you have no weapons.
  14. I meant to say that maybe they wouldn't mind giving us Boldin back. Maybe it was a fourth round pick though.... either way, we could use him even if he is years older.
  15. Thanks. That's pretty underwhelming. SS had more catches in just week 3.
  16. Yeah, both teams are in lousy places. Lol I wonder if San Fran would like their 3rd round pick back. Has anyone seen how Torrey looked in the other games this year?
  17. And all of that happened within the first quarter of the season. Realistically speaking, it's probably going to get even worse by the end. I would never have thought that Webb and Jimmy would outlast so many.
  18. But Sam Bradford and Carson Palmer are still going strong.
  19. I really hope that some of those receivers can distinguish themselves. I'm actually glad that this game comes after the mini-bye. This squad obviously can't afford to take any team lightly, but the Browns in particular have been playing them hard lately. I'm guessing Purple City wants all of the possible wildcard competitors to lose. And perhaps a Browns win will make them less desperate going into Baltimore games?Anyway, that sort of thing is being discussed in the week 4 (other) games thread.
  20. What's with all these runs on 3rd and long?
  21. They are very small breaks in his bones.
  22. We already have a thread devoted to Steve Smith's injury. Please join that discussion.
  23. I was thinking that it was more an indictment of Jeremy Butler. I would have expected him to be elevated if they saw any potential. Now if Givens starts over Brown, then I'd have to agree with you. Ugh that makes me think of Marlon Brown's rookie season. If only he could replicate.
  24. If anyone is interested, Dr David Chao (orthopedic surgeon, former head of the SD Chargers medical staff) has been tweeting about Steve Smith's injuries. https://twitter.com/profootballdoc Some highlights include:
  25. Sorry if this is old news, but I just learned that apparently Justin Tucker is the only kicker to have made two field goals of over 50 yards in Heinz Field. https://twitter.com/SharpFootball/status/649976921535684608?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw It makes PFT's ridiculous statement a little more understandable. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/10/02/steelers-should-give-heinz-field-record-holder-a-call/ Lol probably the only people who thought that were the Ravens wide receivers.
