Yeah Doom is out or this game (and surely more) with a groin injury. Webb went to the sideline for something or other (story of his career), Waller left for a concussion test and Davis also left the game, but I'm not sure why.
Part of the problem is the refs themselves. They set all kinds of records for penalties during the first month of the season, so I know it isn't just homerism on my part. That said, I can't blame the coaches for injuries, but someone needs to take responsibilities for the sloppiness.
The defense has completely fallen apart, but physically (injuries) and mentally (penalties). The offense needs to step up. But of course, they are dealing with an important injury or two as well.
This defense is scary. They look helpless out there. We know the secondary is suspect especially missing a starter and a back-up, but now the line is shaky too. It's like 2014, but with no Sizzle, Doom, Ngata, or Mcphee.
They are impressive, but the other side of the ball is not. I think things could get ugly as the weather gets worse. Manning is not a cold weather qb (esp now) and he isn't exactly Joe Flacco in the playoffs.
