  1. You've seen it before. "That was a hard fought game against a really good opponent. I'm proud of our effort." - Harbs "We left some plays out there." - Flacco
  2. To be fair, they get driven back a lot on short yardage situations.
  3. Scary stat if it's true, but the 3rd quarter wasn't that great for Pitt was it? I guess the two ints took away a couple of punts...
  4. Is this Pitta's last game or something? He's being fed the ball like he'll never play again.
  5. Oddly enough, the Ravens were 1-4 in the games that Flacco did not throw a pick and 7-3 in games that he did... this game may take the total to 7-4 though.
  6. He's pretty underwhelming every time he plays the Steelers and also in prime time games. Dalton usually only looks like a pro-bowler against Baltimore.
  7. If the Bengals have their starters in next season's games, Baltimore is going to get stomped. And that is yet another reason why it's so sad they couldn't take advantage of the opportunities they had this year. "The Baltimore Ravens are just not very talented in the secondary." That was a true statement, but you could probably leave off the last three words and still be right. Get well soon, Jimmy.
  8. I know Baltimore doesn't play well against Cincy, but I was expecting more from January Joe.
  9. Plus he tore Flacco's ACL.
  10. Well everyone was calling for more runs; that is a conservative game plan .
  11. I'll bring my pitchfork! Sure, on special teams... I'm just kidding, he'll have a reception, make a flashy move and then get knocked out for the rest of the game.
  12. I'm glad they finally figured out how to convert on fourth down. Too little, too late, but maybe they can build on it next season.
  13. There are a lot of games that can impact the draft spots, but they said on Ravens Unscripted that Baltimore could have as low the 12th pick or as high as the 21st. Currently, they are at 17.
  14. It's so sad how the Ravens defense has collapsed for the last month.
  15. If it's not Zuttah, probably Urshel.
  16. Oh no, not Weddle! I'm already second guessing the decision to play all the starters.
  17. I hope that McDaniel's absence could finally slow down the NE machine. Of course, he's left before and I don't remember if it had much of an impact on the Pats offense. Sounds like you can have your cake and eat it too. He can disappoint Denver and make a good health decision. Bonus (or maybe brownie) points: he can come back a relaxing job with Baltmore.
  18. Pittsburgh would still have had at least 9 seconds to try gain 6 inches, and maybe more if Bell had been tackled with 10 or 11 seconds left. Plus Baltimore would still face another elimination game in Cincinnati, where they have not won in 5 years.
  19. I don't keep up with Atlanta these days so this is an honest question: did they also have a baffling tendancy to aim short of the sticks on every single third down pass? That would be uncanny.
  20. The pass rush is a big factor. Suggs and Doom must be replaced next season. You can't blame the DC for that. Pees isn't a great DC, but he's good enough to win a SB so what more can you ask for? I'd rather stick with him than have a revolving door like the OCs (and they need to keep trying there).
  21. You made me do a little research and from what I gather: if the Ravens trade Joe Flacco they will have a ton of dead money against the cap. http://baltimoresportsandlife.com/like-joe-flacco-stay/ That article was from last year, but this site shows his contract today and going forward: http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/joe-flacco-4000/ The dead money is 47 million next year and 28 the year after that. They can't even think about life without Flacco (excepting injury) until 2019 when the cap hit would "only" be 16 million, but 2020 is more realistic with a dead money cap hit of 8 million. I don't know whether that is good, bad, or ugly, but Flacco is here to stay. And really, he played more than well enough to win this game, Pitta, Perriman, and Waller did not. Edit: I just took a closer look at that trade offer. The Jets would get the Ravens 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and a SB MVP qb and all Baltimore would get is one first round pick? Talk about getting fleeced.
  22. The Steelers averaged over 11 yards per play in the fourth quarter. The last three weeks have exposed the Ravens as pretenders on defense. That's ugly. The bad was the offense's collapse in the first half. Joe Flacco was good. If only Pitta and Perriman had stepped up.
  23. The Bengals own the Ravens as a general rule (but then again the Ravens own the Steelers), and Baltimore struggles on the road this year, and they are fresh off of a gut-wrenching elimination so I'm seeing a loss here. Injured players like Yanda and Suggs need to sit this one out and if Yanda is out, Flacco should be too.
  24. Yeah that would make sense.
  25. Can't blame him for the unneeded PI contact or Brandon Williams letting Bell slip through his fingers. Besides, you have to look at Pees's body of work. He has coached plenty of victories vs the Steelers, just not in this game. I think I'm on the blame-the-players bandwagon right now.
