  1. I didn't realize Courtney Upshaw was a Falcon. Now I'm tempted to say something like "no wonder their mediocre at best on defense." Can someone tell me how the Packers managed only 1 touchdown until late in the third against a team like this?
  2. This might be worth taking some time off work.
  3. Act like you been there before, man. The Patriots are usually very good against Pittsburgh. And I have a feeling that a game in NE will put an end to the mysteriously missing offensive holding penalties against the Steelers o-line. The Steelers O will make plays against NE, but I think Brady makes a few more. I'll take the Pats in this one.
  4. Neither Atlanta nor GB have defenses that inspire much confidence against NE. I'm going to be so mad if the Pats win another SB. Might Brady finally retire if they do? At least one good thing could come of it...
  5. Reid's clock management is legendary.
  6. I noticed that in the last Ravens game too. It's a little fishy... I remember how the media annointed Ryan in his rookie season even when Joe made it to the AFCCG. If the debate is reopened, Flacco is going to get trashed (especially on the heels of this season). They were drafted in the same round of the same draft. It was bound to happen. Yeah, NE does have a decent pass rush. Chiefs, this game is getting away from you.
  7. We all know Pitt usually gets the calls and no calls that they need, but honestly, I haven't seen a lot of flag football in the playoff quarters that I've watched this month.
  8. I'm scared of what Brady's bunch would do to the Packers defense. But Atlanta, like you mentioned, doesn't inspire confidence in post season games. A KC Atlanta match would be nice... unless it reignited the old Flacco vs Ryan argument. Of course, there are worse scenarios.
  9. I didn't expect KC to win, but I thought they'd be respectable. This is sad. The Afc has no parity.
  10. That wasn't intentional. Thankfully, I can make my posts... dissappear.
  11. That's something to consider but it kind of seems like it only affects 3 or 4 teams (Brady's, Ben's, Rodgers, and Peyton's). Rivers, Brees, Ryan, and Stafford are arguably among the best too but their teams don't see the same kind of repeated success. But hey maybe I'm overratimg the latter ones.
  12. With the Packer recent sucess, I would think they probably have a few bandwagon riders too. Winning tends to do that... Anyway, since things are like this, I wouldn't necessarily mind it if Dallas stopped Pitt from being the only team with 6. Of course, I'd prefer KC, GB, or Atlanta (in that order), but if it comes down to it I'll take anyone over the Steelers (yes, even them).
  13. Not a chance. Even if the Steelers don't get them, the cold will. And I think there's something to be said for Pitts experience in playoff games. Hardly any of the dolphins really know what it's like.
  14. I tend to take the opposite approach: it is a proven fact that Pees is good enough to win a SB with. What more can you ask for? Marty has shown nothing to distinguish himself from Trestman. But then again, the defense nearly let the Superbowl slip away from them just like they have done in so many recent games. Now that you mention it, I'm not sure if Harbs has ever fired a DC. Rex and Pagano left for HC positions and Mattison chose to coach college ball. Am I missing anyone? That is so awful. I knew Baltimore didn't have a good offense, that's the story of the franchise, but this is just... wow. When you consider the fact that they usually don't have an excellent passing attack either and couple that with a defense that only plays for 3/4 of the game, it is actually no wonder they struggle so much in every single game.
  15. I have no faith in this decision. Marty looks like Trestman 2.0 which will likely mean he will get the can during next season forcing the team to scramble again. If they don't promote someone who can do a Caldwell (so to speak) this choice could end up costing Harbs his job.
  16. The Steelers are the same way vs the Ravens... haven't been able to win against Baltimore (usually) and even when they do it comes down to the wire. Pees is as predictible as I don't know, but it's the same story It's just a rock-paper-scissors situation in the AFCN for the last few years. You might argue that the Pats have been running the same dink-and-dunk offense for a decade, but still no one can stop them consistently except the Giants. In conclusion: I certainly don't like the losses to Cincy, but I'm not ready to run John out of town for it.
  17. What might have been... Oh Cleveland, a flag puts the ball at the 2 yard line and you throw twice for -14 yards.
  18. What a lousy retirement game. Would it have killed Flacco and/or Mornhigweg to target him more?
  19. I don't get it. When your season is over, the game is all but done, surely then you could play attention to someone other than Pitta. Pittsburgh was a better sendaway than this.
  20. Good observation. It's funny that the two of them combine for 1 playoff win in a combined 14-5 years. I can't remember Dalton's draft year exactly... Elvis only played half of the season and he was severely limited for at least one of those games.
  21. Their OC, a dome environment, and two games against the Saint's defense wouldn't hurt either. Actually, Flacco had the best game of his career against Tampa so that might be worth adding to the list.
  22. It's kind of weird how that was a td, but if he had caught the ball in the endzone and hung onto it for that amount of time (in the endzone, I mean), it wouldn't be.
  23. Interestingly, all of those targets are hall of famers or potential ones. The closest thing that Flacco has is Steve Smith, but he isn't getting the ball.
  24. Definitely. This game is so embarrassing.
  25. Pitta was targeted on that play? Where has he been all day?
