Using Antonio Brown vs Torrey Smith as a justification for saying we don't draft or develop players well is like saying 31 other teams in the league can't draft or develop QBs because Tom Brady was a 6th rounder. Or... teams cant draft or develop CBs outside of Seattle because of Richard Sherman. Using a gigantic outlier as a basis for an argument is just silly and misleading.

Exactly... Never seen an 3-0 start where people are screaming to fire coordinators and bench starters. I mean, yes, there are some places to improve (there always will be), but the tone makes it seem like we are some bottom feeder and not the top of one of the best divisions in football.

Perriman wouldn't last 2 seconds on waivers. You are far too emotional in your logic. Perriman is a first round pedigree who looked solid in his only action. Butler has played great in preseason games and wasn't bad as an injury replacement... but nobody would call him a future #1 WR like many would project Perriman. Camp might be gone too.

I like Butler as much as everyone here... but we have nobody right now that can consistently field a kick. I'd rather have Hester than Butler who would likely be an inactive on game day. Butler would be behind SSS, Wallace, Aiken, Perriman, and Moore. I would also think Gillmore, Williams, and Pitta would be looked at before Butler when it comes to extra targets if one of those WRs goes down.

I wonder how much is Engram and how much is having Steve Smith out there.
