  1. I don't really care whether he gets fired or not.  I would be less inclined to fire him if he hadn't cleaned house after the Super Bowl win.  He didn't have any loyalty to his players who gave him success; why should I have loyalty to him now?   It's not like he is an offensive or defensive genius.

Wrong. Butler signed with Tampa because it was a much easier route to the 53, AND it was closer to his family. They don't have nearly the depth at the position that we do.

And if SSSr is ready to go week 2,  you'd seriously tell him to wait another month? In his last year?  Talk about disrespect.

It really doesn't matter what practice squad he signs with.  If we need a Wide Receiver and he is on the Tampa practice squad we just sign him and he is on the Ravens.

So I guess you're not one of the many fans who have been shrieking about the release of Brooks, since we kept this guy around all of 2 years - long after everyone else knew he was not going to be productive.

Steve needs to fire Ozzie and get that GM who never makes a draft error, you know ... what's his name?

He seems to have failure after failure lately.  To blindly say "In Ozzie we trust" why even have a message board.

I would have kept Butler.  If you aren't going to keep players who play well why even have play pre-season games?

Yeah he was the guy who Drafted Elam in the first, Brown in the second and Brooks in the Third.  And he is the guy who kept them around long after everyone else knew they weren't going to become productive players.

Yeah, I've never understood the hype on Campanaro. It's worse than the hype on Tandon Doss! He is not worth a roster spot.

If they want him as punt returner he is on the team.  Really I don't see who else would get that job.  Unless they get a punt returner from another teams cuts I see Campanaro making the team.

    OFFENSE - 22

    QB: (2) Flacco, Mallett

    RB: (3) Forsett, Dixon, West

    FB: (1) Juszczyk

    TE: (3) Pitta, Gillmore, Williams

WR: (6) Smith, Wallace, Aiken, Perriman, Butler, Moore

OL: (7) Stanley, Lewis, Zuttah, Yanda, Wagner, Urschel, Jensen

I don't think Allen has done enough to make the team and I think we could very well cut him like we did John Simon. West outplayed him and Dixon is a star in the making, it would seem, and Forsett isn't going anywhere so I think the numbers don't work for him. Since Dixon's injury isn't considered serious, and since we have Taliaferro on the PUP and could use him as insurance, I think Allen gets cut and perhaps brought to the PS. I had a hard time with OL, but I think we believe we could stash a guy on the PS like Wesley and be fine. I don't think anyone is about to poach Wesley from us. Reynolds I also think makes it to the PS. I think the team may let Ducasse go because I don't think it's likely anyone signs him and possibly make him the 2016 Billy Bajema. If not, I think Ducasse makes the team.

    Offense PS: Allen, Reynolds, Wesley

    DEFENSE - 27

DL: (7) Guy, Williams, Jernigan, Henry, Pierce, Urban, Davis

Edge: (6) Suggs, Dumervil, Smith, McClellan, Judon, Correa

    LB: (3) Mosley, Orr, Brown

CB: (6) Smith, Wright, Young, Davis, Powers, Price

S: (5) Weddle, Webb, Levine, Lewis, Brooks

I think Pierce has done enough to make the team and I think Lewis-Moore has been outplayed and makes the PS. Having Levine means we can go light at ILB, and I think Brown makes the team as a ST guy. I can also see us cut Brown and put him on the PS, but I think it's likelier he makes the 53. I wanted to put Canady on the 53, but I just think he'll go to the PS due to his injury. I think the team still likes Powers and keeps him despite the 'eh' preseason. Canady could easily make the team and Price could be the one to go to the PS, however. I just think availability helps Price unless something happens in PS4 @ NO. I see Brooks as the back-up dime behind Levine now that Elam is hurt.

Defense PS: Ochi, Lewis-Moore, Beyer, Canady

ST: (4) Tucker, Koch, Cox, Campanaro

I don't think Arthur Brown is practice squad eligible.

  7. If a player isn't good enough to be on our 53 players what do we care if he clears waivers or not? If he makes it to the practice squad another team could grab him at anytime.  John Simon cleared waivers and we still lost him off our practice squad.  Being on a team's practice squad is pretty meaningless. The players are available to any team that wants them.

We went half the season with Perriman as a weekly inactive last year.  If they think Dixon will be back, he'll be on the 53 man.  I don't see him going on IR unless he has a setback, even with the return option.  They can afford a roster spot on him, even if it takes a few weeks.

Well we might not want to make the same mistake twice.   And Dixon wasn't needed as much as Perriman was last year.

Why is this thread still a thing? Eugene has moved on and the team has moved on. It's time we as fans move on, whether you think it's the right move or the wrong move it's done.

Why have any thread with that logic?  People want to discuss Monroe if you dont' want to read about it don't open a thread with his name in the title.

Let's also not forget that Newsome has drafted multiple hall of famers and is almost unanimously considered one of, if not the, best GMs in the league. Don't know why you clearly have a dislike for him but you are pretty much alone on this one, not only here but amongst all fanbases as well.

The scouts who scouted those hall of fame quality players are long gone.

frankly i think the ravens FO are being the neanderthals here and I support every single tweet Eugene posted. I resonate with it and if the ravens don't well they are in the wrong. Cannabis is a life saving plant and what he's promoting is something the ravens SHOULD be endorsing.

Yeah I don't know if I support his statements but he is free to make them. It is legal in several states now.  It is foolish for the league to suspend guys for it with all the head injury stuff that is much worse than smoking a joint.

Was it Ben Watson that blew the horn on his new team?

Get this guy off our squad!

It's probably real awkward in the locker room about now.  Bye Ben!

I never liked you coming here anyway.  I hope Crockett is ready for training camp!

Come on Harbs, You are suppose to know the rules.  You complain about them every other week.  I'm so tired of this coach.

Wouldn't it make more sense to get rid of the coach than the Union Rep?  The coach should know the rules. If he can't follow something as basic as this do you trust him to run your team?

  13. Look at the 2007 team that went 5-11 and the elite to semi-elite players on the team.  You have sure HOF in Ogden, Ray Lewis, and Ed Reed and Suggs might be a HOFer as well.  And a lot of other all-pros.  Still team was terrible.

    Steve Mcair
    Todd Heap
    Willis McGahee
    Ray Lewis
    Terrell Suggs
    Ed Reed

    Haloti Nagata
    Derek Mason
