  1. Harb is the last person I would point finger at cuz he took over the team with losing record and put us in position of contending for SB 6yrs....

Injuries killed us this year and our new acquired coaches aren't every good so it just piled on.....

Unless u cheat but most stable franchise will go through bumps and falls....

They did replace Boller with Flacco.  I am thinking Billick would have won a few more games with Flacco than Boller. In fact when he had a healthy McNair the year before he was fired the team was 13-3.  The Ravens have never had that good a record under Harbaugh.

  2. ..........because we don't have a vocal leader?  Or because we still have a ton of injuries, a weak secondary and a make shift group at WR?  me thinks the latter is more likely the correct answer.

We really don't have that many injuries.  The starting offensive line-up was all out there last weak.  All top 3 wide receivers.  Other than Suggs and Webb who is out that is stopping the team from winning games?  And Webb didn't look that good when he was playing.  We have a back up running back out.  We have a Safety that absolutely horrible last year out.  We have a fifth string wide receiver out.   Come on every team has injuries.

The Steelers have won the last two games without Big Ben.   The GM's job is to have decent back-ups.  We haven't lost  much but we sure look horrible.

I think Harbaugh used the super bowl win as a springboard to get rid of guys who he didn't like.  The guys who were leaders were let go.

  3. I notice that a Seahawks linebacker has no problem covering Boldin.  Mosley can't even cover a running back.  I think part of the issue is our players. Our defense was not good last year and we had one of easiest schedules in the league.  Remove Ngata and Suggs  and what would you expect?  I am not against replacing Pees though.  As then when the defense is still terrible we can all admit it was the lack of quality players and the blame should shift to Ozzie.

  4. thats the thing.

people just fall for all the hype and then set some unrealistic expectations and when it does not happen they want to fire/trade/cut everyone.

i believed our roster was good enough to compete and win games when healthy but i believed even more when certains guys get injured we are in trouble.

they believed when healthy we could compete and win games.

so far we havent been healthy since week 1 yet have been in every game and could have been 6-0 instead of 1-5.

you might have a point if we where getting blown out each and every week.

We were healthy on Offense against the 49er's who were about in last place in every defensive category and we struggled on Offense.  We are not a very good team.

  5. I get it losing to the Browns is the most embarrassing loss in all my years of this team going back to 96. That doesn't mean a wholesale change after one season is called for. You have to look at the big picture. Well you don't as long as the decision makers continue to.

That is ridiculous they lost in OT.  As lately as 2007 we lost 9 straight.  Remember getting humiliated by the Steelers 38-7?

  6. I don't know man... What Harbaugh said was pretty true and it's not like Wright is a rookie and  he was facing against his old team in which he has practice with since training camp. Nothing really should  have been a  surprise for him even if he hasn't been on The Ravens team long.

The guy got beat bad for a two touchdowns by double moves in which one he actually gave up by falling downs. I think that's embrassing even for a guy that's only been on the team for less than 2 weeks.

Wright is being used as a scape goat.  If he was good he wouldn't have been waived.  The coaches should have known he wasn't good enough to cover speedy receivers.  He probably won't be on the team long.  Why call out someone you picked to be on the team just a few days before?  If Wright is so bad why is he on the team to begin with?

Harbaugh needs to take responsiblity for his own mistakes.  Like challenging a play that he had no chance in winning which cost the team a valuable time-out which could have been the difference in the game.  Harbaugh didn't get signed a day ago.  He has been doing this for 8 years.  Passing blame on the weakest links when he should be taking it is not what a leader does.  And it is the exact same thing he did last year.

If he is going to blame someone for mistakes it should be people who have been here all season.  The offense had all their starters and they didn't produce well enough.  Why not go there....

  7. Yep. Flacco dropped that easy TD against Denver Week 1.  He dropped those two EZ catches today as well.  And what is a QB suppose to say, he should say its his fault, he gets the credit when we win, he gets it when we lose.  Bench him is absolutley is absolutly no solution, a solution would be to get us a playmaker not named SSR.  Its clear Joe only trust him, i dont blame him.

And what is up with our tackling? or lack there of?  To see Mosely stiffarmed by a FB just made me shake my head.  Ray would of ran that dude over.

Mosley is the most overrated player on the team.

  8. So from Harbaugh's press convo, he seems to be disappointed with a coordinator maybe both stating, they can't just call plays they have to call plays that work and put guys in position to make plays. He also seemed very upset with Wright.

I don't think it is fair to Wright to single him out in the press conference.  The guy has been with the team less than a week.  He was just waived and hadn't played all season for a team that is at the bottom of the defense standings in the league.  So what did they expect would happen putting him one on one with speedy receivers?  This is just like last season where we raiding every practice squad in the league for our starting cornerbacks and Harbaugh would blame them after a loss and release them and go get the next guy who shouldn't be a starting corner in the NFL.

Anyway I think the positives on the team are the offense and defensive lines.  We should sign Osmele to an extension. Our offensive line is the one thing on the team that isn't a huge weakness.  The major problem with the offense can be seen with Boldin and Torrey Smith playing for the opponent.  If we had them still on the team I think a lot of our losses this season would be wins.  Ozzie sure has struck out on extending guys like Webb, Pitta, and Rice and letting guys like Boldin and Torrey go.  I hope we don't extend Tucker.  With the figures they are talking about I would just get the best rookie out there.  Tucker wasn't even drafted.  Teams aren't even drafting kickers anymore why pay big bucks for one?

  9. If bet hard money on Boyd being a pro bowler his first year. If we play our cards right(by sucking) we might actually have a lot of high picks, say we he's up with a top 5 or 10 pick we could probably trade down and get a 2nd round pick in return while also picking Boyd in the late first round. That would be 1 first rounder, two seconds and 2 thirds(comp pick). Ozzie would have a heart attack.

We aren't trading back if we have a top 15 pick. Last time we had one of these we got Ngata , time before that Suggs and the time before that Jamal Lewis. If we have a chance to get a truely dominant player we aren't picking for needs or trading back.
