  1. I'm talking Ray Lewis,Johnny Unitas ,Michael Jordon, Magic ,add in Willy Mays.

Thats what i mean , the best of the best.

I just don't think those types of players would make or were good coaches.

Well most great players have a hard time coaching players who lack their skill.  But I don't think this applies to Ray as he was a coach on the field when he was a player and certainly put in the time watching film.   Who knows if he would be a good coach or not.  I don't think anyone isn't going to give their all when Ray is coaching.

  2. We don't need "pretty good" in the first round. Especially in a position as easy as RB. First round should be for drafting players that are needed.

No first round should be drafting for talent.  If we have the chance to get a future hall of famer at a position we take that player.

  3. I think the OLB's accounted for like three pressures despite the fact that the Chargers lost something like three offensive lineman. That's abysmal

Yeah and whose fault do you think that was?  Do you think Pees was down there rushing the QB?  Last   year teams had to worry about Suggs and Ngata.  That opened up room for other guys to make moves.  The guys we have just aren't very good.

  4. Can someone give me a documented example of a team the legitimately and purposely tanked? Colts for Luck? It seems like something people like to talk about, but realistically I wouldn't imagine any professional team would do it. Everyone from the owner down agreeing to lose on purpose? BS.

Coaches get fired after having the worst record in the league after having a decent or mediocre season the year before.  Caldwell was fired after the Colts awful season. So was the Vice Chairman and the General Manager.

They won two of their last three games.  And were close in the other game.   I don't know why people think teams would try to lose.  The coaches want to keep their jobs and they want to get other jobs in the future.  The GM's want to keep their jobs.   Having the worst record in the league is the way for everyone to get fired.

Also players want to keep playing in the NFL.  Being the worst team in the league means players aren't playing very well.  Players who don't play well don't last in the NFL.

  5. Agreed but it's not going to happen even though Rivers shredded us and our problems still persisted despite a bunch of offensive Chargers being out of the game. Harbaugh is way too loyal to his guys which is a gift and a curse.

You don't think the players have anything to do with this?  What about not being able to get to the quarterback even when blitzing?  What about guys not being able to cover receivers?  Do you think bringing in a new coach is going to magically make CJ be able to cover anyone?

  6. I know we won but we still need to fire him. With the bye week, it's perfect timing to do so. The AFC is bad enough where if we make a change at DC, we could potentially make a run.

What would be the point of firing him this week? So you can get some blood?  You can't hire assistants away from other teams at this point.  I don't think there is anyone on the team ready to take over.  And then if someone else takes over and does worse who do we fire then?  If the team determines Pees is the problem they can fire him at the end of the season. It isn't like if we fire him we make the playoffs.

  7. AB needs to be getting reps next to Mosely period. That will be the only way he develops. I have seen what it looks like with both Mosely and Smith trying to cover TE's, and it ain't pretty. AB has more speed than both of them. Maybe at least get him in on 3rd down, see what you got. I mean why wait for next year, when Smith is gone?

Smith is signed for next season and has been playing well.   He would only save the team around 2.5 million to cut him next season. I don't see him going anywhere.

  8. My request is reasonable.  I can deal with the losing, but our record... LOOK AT WHO WE LOST TO!

If I told you at the start of the season, we'd only have one win going into week 8, you'd laugh in my face.

I don't know the team looked pretty bad in the pre-season.  l am not shocked about the record.  We had a tremendously easy schedule last year.

  9. I agree. It's funny that the mindset of top 5 pick= super star when one of the best players in the history of the game was 26th in the first round.

And Tom Brady was drafted in the sixth round.  I was reading something that the most production in the NFL draft was some position in the 20's.  Turns out teams that finish badly do that because they dont' know how to draft.  So they end up making bone-head picks at the top of the draft year after year.

  10. yes it happens but Ozzie picking top 10 Jonathan Ogden, Peter Boulware Chris Mcallister, Duane Starks, Jamal Lewis, Travis Taylor, Terrell Suggs, so 1 HOF 2 possible HOF 3pro bowlers 1 bust 6 put of 7 excellent players if you count Ngata at 12 Mosley at 17 Flacco at 18 Boller at 19 I Will take my chances

Where were Ed Reed and Ray Lewis drafted?  I would prefer a higher pick if we don't make the playoffs.  But i am rooting for the team to win every game.  The more games they win that means the better the current player on the team are playing.   There is a half a season left.  It is time for the coaches and players to be evaluated.

  11. Am I the only one in panic mode because of SSS missing the rest of the season and Marlon/Kamar will now be our number one? Ozzie seriously can't expect a run to get into the playoffs with Flacco's starting WR's.

I don't think anyone is expecting a run to get into the playoffs.   Just enjoy that all the games have been pretty exciting to watch.

  12. There were a few calls that truly irritated me in this game: 1) the Urshel ineligible WR not reporting call was complete trash, took away a reasonable gain on first down, moved us back 5 yards instead basically killed that drive. 2) Webb PI vs Fitzgerald inside goal line was solid defense IMO.

    3) Chris Johnson run was utter nonsense lol. I mean his forward progress was 100% stopped, he's sitting on Brandon Williams stomach with Williams cradling him like a child. Every player from both teams then stops, he lets Johnson go, Johnson didn't break free with a struggle lol. Then he starts running. And then some idiot used to be official tries to explain to Mike Tirico why it was correct ( and he says you see his legs a churning ). I'm like what is this guy seeing in super slow-motion trying to jusitify that terrible call.

Then Tirico and gruden reached even further trying to compare it to Mike Dyer with Auburn. That was a more of roll over bang bang play than this one.

I bet if one of the other Ravens had wiped him out while sitting on Williams it would have been a PI hitting a defenseless Player. Smh

Yeah if they hit him it would have definitely been a personal foul.  The league needs to stop being so wimpy and let players hit each other again.  But terrible call they should have blown the whistle.

  13. I would say the team played well. The officiating was terribly one-sided and that with the fumble on the punt return was too much to overcome.  I guess this is the first game of the season where officiating effected the game for us so we can't complain too much.  The run on 3 and 1 late in the fourth quarter was a bad call.  Overall I was pretty pleased with the effort.

  14. 3-5 at the bye gives us a chance, considering our games after the bye week. Jags, Rams, Browns, Dolphins, Chiefs, Steelers, Seahawks, Bengals. If we were 3-5 and won 7 out of those last 8, maybe 6, were in

We just lost to two 5 loss teams in a row.  I don't see how the schedule can get much easier than our last two games.

  15.

seems to be some pretty good ranking he had there in NE but the anti pees crew will no doubt find a way to discredit it lmao

Here is why they won't fire Pees during the season. If they fire Pees now and the defense actually gets worse than Harbaugh or Ozzie or both will be fired after the season.  Fire Pees after the season they can blame it all on Pees and they get another year to right the ship.
