If you have 50000 registered users and only 200 are posting I would say you would have to look what is not causing people to post as they had some desire t post when they first created their accounts. It is easy to say people are not posting as much in forums in general but reddit's forums seem very busy.

I don't think that has anything to do with Forum participation. The Orioles had 14 straight losing seasons and during that time Orioles message boards were very busy. I think it actually promotes posting when a team is doing poorly because everyone has suggestions on how to fix it. When a team is winning and most of the players are playing well what is there to discuss?

Like I have said numerous times but for some reason you guys choose to delete the reason this board has less and less posts is due to the moderators. They merge so many threads and lock others. How can you encourage people to post or participate if there are only three threads that anyone posted in a couple of days and when someone starts a new thread it is either locked or merged? That is discouraging people from posting. I have never been on another forum where the moderators did this. I can see if there are multiple threads about the same thing to merge them. For example if the Ravens sign a free agent we don't need 8 threads about it. But if the Ravens sign a free agent or their is a suggestion to sign a specific player that thread does not need to be merged into another thread. I have moderated boards before and new threads lead to more conversations and more posting. I will say that the moderation is simply what killed the boards. I would post something in someone's new thread and then it would get merged into another thread and that would cause me not post again for several months. I think the only people that are left are people that feel they are in a club and the majority of Ravens fans stopped posting because of this. Also putting the Message Board link at the bottom of a sub category makes it pretty clear that you don't want people to use the message board.

That was a friendly. I have no problem with NFL playing pre season games out of the country but regular season should be in U.S.

Interesting that they deleted my original post and kept your post with a quote of my post. Perhaps they didn't like that I quoted the moderators post that mentioned disabled people in it that I quoted as that was deleted as well. Yeah when Serie A, Bundesliga, La Liga, and Premier League games are played in Baltimore than I would be fine with NFL games in Europe. He was cut because of the video. If there hadn't been a video and an outrage against the NFL because of not giving him a big suspension he wouldn't have been cut.

Well according to the post you are quoting they have Facebook and other social media platforms that are more popular than this site. Also some guy who is the Auckland isn't generating revenue for the Ravens. No TV revenue, No ticket revenue. The Ravens aren't responsible for creating a social network for people who aren't even their customers.

Arguing about whether I should use a forum that will be eliminated in 3 days seems pretty pointless. There is no rule that states don't mention who the Ravens drafted until after everyone has found out about it from means other than this site. Like I said you should have started another thread for your viewing party. Of course if you did that the moderators would have merged the threads.

You are saying 190 yards and 20 receptions is your over and under? I am sure there are ton of undrafted guys out there that could do much more than that if they were top 2 on the Ravens. Torrey put up 1100 yards in his third season. I would say anything under 800 yards would be a big disappointment at this point. Shoot Aiken got more than that when he was a top 2 receiver.

The thing is it is not your "community". It has nothing to do with you. I have as much right to post my opinions as you do. Like I said people begin to think it belong to a few members. I am just as important as you or anyone else who posts here. I buy Ravens tickets and I watched them on TV. I am sure some guy with 20,000 posts from Australia isn't buying many tickets to games or watch games on Network TV. . It isn't a community it is just a place to discuss Ravens related information. It is supposed to be a fun excursion from real life.

Well so far Perriman hasn't produced like Torrey did. I believe in giving him a chance to be one of our top 2 but we still need another proven wide receiver on the team. To go into the receiving core we have now is likely to lead to a season where we don't compete.

I am only posting because there are only few days left and the moderators have annoyed me by merging all my posts. Every thread I ever started got merged into an unrelated thread. And then I get my posts deleted when I mention it. Then I get my posts deleted when I mention who the Ravens drafted. Then I mention that off topic is probably not the best place for new Ravens forums and that is deleted. And they wonder why the forum gets so little traffic.

I don't disagree with the right for someone to have an opinion but down votes is juvenile. And the community? Seems like that is why message boards are dying out. Tend to end up being a bunch of bullies who attack anyone who disagrees with the group think of a few people. That is why Facebook is more popular. People put their real names and photos on there. And all your friends and family can see your behavior. And no dislikes.

If you don't want to discuss the picks when they are made I suggest google chat. Everyone is supposed to wait 15 minutes because a few of you think you own the boards? Maybe this is why the Ravens are shutting the forum down. You guys think this is your personal board. Giving people negative votes when the main cliche who disagree with anything your group disagrees with. i mean you make the dumbest post I ever read about how great it is Steelers fans appreciate us. And I make a disagreement with it and the negative votes come out. You guys are like three year olds. No adult cares about down votes. And the forum is closing in 4 days. What are you talking about. I was following the draft. I choose not to watch commercials . I had the draft tracker up and was following the picks. I mean does there need for me to watch a ton of commercials , watch Goddell booed every 5 minutes and have the picks delayed by 15 minutes for me to care about the draft.

Was there another thread that I was supposed to announce the picks in? If there was I would have posted them there. I don't watch college football so I just read the thread to get information on our picks. Of course the NFL doesn't want you to tweet the picks early as they want you to watch the commercials on NFL Network. Anyway there were probably 10 tweets by writers about the pick before I announced it. And like I said I waited 5 minutes after the pick was announced to post it. Anyway your argument is not logical. The internet knows all about the pick and yet you don't want to read about it on the Internet. I didn't come into your home to scream Tyus.
