All the recent changes have completely changed the Browns. They have talented players now and will get better with free agency and the draft, the Browns will be a very powerful team in 2014
Browns have no patience and consistently make monumental mistakes that undo all the good they've done e.g. Brandon Weeden, Paul Kruger, etc., while missing on just about every great QB prospect they can. Lost their first round pick in 2008 to trade up for Brady Quinn, passed on Wilson, Foles, and Tannehill to take a 29 year old quarterback, etc.
I'd like to know how a team with no starting QB is "powerful".
^^ you could have said that statement for the last 20 years, browns have always had bums at QB
Does anybody else think it's possible we trade back and select Ra'Shede Hageman in the first?
Does anybody think it's possible the Ravens will only try to retain Dennis Pitta, promote Matt Furstenburg and avoid drafting a (early round) TE?
sure we could look to add Garrett Graham in FA or Owen Daniels if the Texans release him.
Probably. We can pick up a good blocking TE in the later round like C.J and Lynch.
Problem is Furst isn't a great blocker. That is why he wasn't on the 53 supposedly. I think we draft a blocking TE in later rounds. Furst should make the 53 this year IMO.
How do you feel about Seantrel Henderson? Even though he is a high-risk, high-reward player, I feel like he could be a good right tackle to replace Oher, he has monstrous size.
Looked terrible today! I'll pass.
4 year project.
If I was Ozzie, I wouldn't even have him on the big board.
I think we may see the Ravens give guys like Rick Wagner and David Mims a chance starting at right tackle in free agency.
I want to buy a new Ravens jersey. Who should I get? I was thinking Jimmy Smith
I have a white Ngata, a black Sizzle, and to be different I just got a Purple Tucker! I wear what ever color the team is wearing that week.
Go with Tucker
I have a Reed, Jimmy Smith, and Webb. Love them all, but Smith is the one I always wear.
I'm done being a Ravens fan. This team will be going nowhere next year. I'm joining the Pittsburgh Steelers fanbase, their team is twice is good as the Ravens will ever be.
I'm still mad April fools day or not, I mean some things you just don't say!
I can't even believe you joked about that.
Why don't you move to the Steel City and smell the air there too? Hahaha!
If Marcell Dareus isn't extended by the Buffalo Bills, he could be a Raven next year
That's what I meant because he mentioned Ngata who is also up in 2015, as well as Jimmy.
Ngata will not be extended because he always contemplates retirement and honestly may not want to be extended. Not to mention injuries
Could we not still save money by doing so and spreading his paycheck around over a longer period of time? Even if Suggs retires in, let's say, 2017 (a year before his contract is up), the extension will still benefit us.
It's just that I'm not sure Ngata wants an extension. I'm pretty sure they tried that this year and Ngata wasn't having it. I think he's just nearing the end of his career, which is why someone like Dareus would be so nice, but he'd be another Mack
If the Ravens were to select a safety in the second round, who would you want them to pick? I don't think Jimmie Ward will last to our pick... so Deone Buccannon, Terrence Brooks or other?
Joey Flex-I don't see Bucannon being like Pollard. He is an enforcer sure, but he makes smarter hits and as very good ball skills, also unlike Pollard.
not exactly like pollard, i know, but definitely the similarities are there, and where i would think pryor can play free and strong, i dont know if i could say the same for bucannon
Brock Vereen in round 4
It's okay if the Patriots are dropping passes left and right. They have young receivers that are still learning. They will be okay. The Ravens drop passes, too? Oh well that just proves Joe Flacco isn't elite! He is terrible. He doesn't deserve $120 million. Ravens will go 3-13
Now, the question is who will step up at running back? Will Pierce actually be able to take over as a starter? Or will it be Forsett who actually showed he can produce? Or even Taliaferro? Toussaint???
QOTD: If Ray Rice comes back from suspension and isn't as productive as the Ravens hoped, should Pierce be named the starter over him?
I'm thinking LT will be our guy while Rice is out. Pierce looks fragile, and Forsett is a fumbler.
a concussion from an extremely hard spear directly to the crown of the helmet doesnt make him fragile necessarily, but he did have his fair share of minor injuries last year. i think pierce should be fine barring any kind of freak accident, 1 in a million tackles that would hurt anyone like a clean shot to the ACL/MCL area
if he stays healthy but Rice looked very quick and agile but its a good problem to have choosing between 2 good RBs
What wide receivers are left?
No elite one's that's for sure, just number 2 or 3 guys like Martavis Bryant, Jared Abbrederis, and Bruce Ellington, but they most likely won't be there for our 4th comp.
A few good ones - Martavius Bryant, Jared Abbrederis, Kevin Norwood, Devin Street, Tevin Reese, L'Damian Washington.
gimme abbrederis, would play with us for years.
Which UDFA(s) do you think have the best shot of making the roster?
hurst
Patterson, Hurst, Seamster,Xavier Boyd
Definitely Hurst. He doesn't have much competition for being a backup tackle. Seamster and Boyd have a shot as special teams guys.
Why hasn't Danario Alexander been signed to a team? He's 25 and coming off an injury, it wouldn't hurt for a team to bring him in and see how he is.
Pudding has more structural integrity than Alexander's knees
Probably because my 83 year old grandfather's knees are in better shape than his are.
Some team, probably jets or dolphins will bring him in
With the Titans losing to the Colts, we are very much alive in the AFC... I feel our game against the Jets will decide whether we make it to the playoffs or not.
