Years of picking at the bottom of drafts are finally catching up to this team. I still have faith in Ozzie selecting talent but there is a reason the bengals are much more talented than us right now is because they've sucked for so long and got the bigger variety of players to pick from. It's no coincidence that the only time the ravens missed the playoffs during the harbaugh years resulted in is having the best draft class during the harbaugh years which was last year. Plus we also need to get rid of these vanilla coordinators. We need an aggressive DC like Rex or even pagano back to bring back this organized chaos and not this bend but don't break crap preached by pees. Not ravens defense and will not work in a pass happy league. Pees was never a good fit for us as DC we need a guy that is on the sidelines and will be more aggressive and get in players faces when they blow coverage like Rex did and not be up in the box. Maybe some won't agree but I usually don't like coordinators that are up in the box and not on the field. I know it has it has some benefits but I don't think it outweighs the cons. As for Tressman I don't think he's a good fit either but Joe's only weapons right now is Smith Sr. And Gilmore.
Part of me kind of wants us to have a bad season only out of the hope that it will open the front offices' and harbaugh's eyes to finally get rid of Dean Pees. Oh and I'm not a huge fan of Tressman either. Hopefully the Colts fire chuck and we bring him back and hopefully we draft a talented pass rusher to be sizzles' successor. It won't be a problem since it looks like we'll be picking at least at 10 which is where we drafted sizzle.
I can't believe that I thought this team was super bowl calibre during the off season. We suck. The media overhyped the team just like they did with the Falcons and Texans back in 2013 and the Saints last year and we all saw how they did. Oh well at least we'll be picking in the top 5 in the draft this year.
Every year we find an undrafted gem that ends up having significant playing time with the starters, Tucker, Marlon, Hurst. This year, with Elam out, I think it'll be Nick Perry.
