  1. Ryan Kelly is seen as a late 1st, early 2nd round pick. So he will not be there in the 4th round.
  2. One can dream. ! would be quite happy with this.
  3. New Mock. What I think we should do. 1. Trade back with the Rams for their first, 2 2nds, and a 5th. 1st Round - Leonard Floyd - OLB - UGA I think Leonard Floyd would flourish in our system. He was great when he was used as a pass rusher the first year at georgia. Then they tried to make him an ILB/OLB combo and didn't have him rush nearly as often. I think getting him back to pass rushing will be the best for his skill set. 2nd Round Ours - Will Jackson - CB- Houston I like him a lot. I think he would be a good outside fit. Has the ball skills we desperately need as well. 2nd Round 1st Rams - Trade to any team for a first next year. Hear me out. We have an abundance of picks. As always. I want another one next year. We trade away this early second round pick this year and get a 1st next year. Win - Win 2nd Round 2nd Rams - Sterling Shepherd - WR- Oklahoma Love him. He is very strong, I think he will be a great receiver no matter where he ends up, but on use would be even better. Though I think the addition of Sterling means the end of Camp if he doesn't stay healthy. 3rd Round - Germain Ifedi - OT- Texas A&M I like his feet a lot. He definitely needs some coaching but I think he could do very well in our system. I see him like Kelechi. A college OT that can move inside and become great. 4th Round - Jaylon Smith - ILB- Notre Dame Total Flyer. I mean we take a chance on him. If it works out great. If not, it's a fourth round pick. 4th Round - Max Tuerk - C - USC Projects really well. I think he can get stronger, learn for a year or 2, and eventually start 4th Round Comp - Cardale Jones - QB- Ohio State Give him a chance. Maybe he beats out Mallet, if not, Practice squad. 5th round - Cyrus Jones - CB/KR - Alabama I like him as a KR. Plays with swagger. I think he challenges Clay for the job. 6th round - Anyone Honestly at the end, we have so many players at so many positions that we are gonna have some tough cuts. I know the draft will not go close to this mock, but I think this addresses most positions of need and makes us a lot stronger.
  4. I think guys like: Arthur Brown KLM Urban - when healthy Brooks Arrington - only because we need to figure out if we are cutting him after the first year of a three year deal. Carl Davis Mostert/West - I know Allen will get majority of snaps, but these two guys should get some reps so we can see if we need to draft someone next year. These are the main guys that I think could/should get more/all playing time. Just don't think guys like Daryl and Canty need to be out there anymore to prove anything.
  5. Not saying put backups at every position. Just the ones where there is an established vet. Like Daryl Smith and Chris Canty. You absolutely leave guys like Will Hill, CJ Mosley, and Brandon Williams out there. They are paid to play football. If you can not do that, they can find someone who will. It is not lambs to slaughter. They have played their whole lives. It's not like they go up against other wordly players. I mean come on.
  6. I'm not saying make wholesale changes immediately. You can certainly ease them in. But you still have guys like Will Hill and Cj Mosley who play 100 percent of snaps, so why can't the backups do it. It is not lambs going to slaughter. This is football. They played football in college. They are getting paid to play football. The best way for them to get better is through experience. Guys like Canty and Daryl Smith have nothing left to prove. You don't need to bring someone in from the practice squad. Just inactive the starters on gameday and the reserves that are usually inactive play. No need to bring in someone new. For example: Arthur Brown starts, with McClellan and Orr rotating with him and Mosley. KLM or Urban starts, with the other rotating with Jernigan or Davis. We will still have depth with the starters not playing. It won't be that bad.
  7. So you wouldn't want to rest Doom, who has a nagging knee injury, and see what you have in Zadarius Smith? Or bench Kendrick and see what you have in Terrence Brooks. Look, I understand the spirit of the competition and all that stuff. But being this far down in the standings with half our starting offense out, gives us a perfect chance to actually see what kind of depth we have. Maybe Arthur Brown is better in game action than practice. Maybe Terrence Brooks makes less mistakes in game action than practice. I'm not saying tank. I'm saying figure out what you have, so that this offseason you know what to address.
  8. Yea. But at this point, it makes zero sense to keep putting Dumervil out there with a nagging knee injury. Just rest him for the rest of the season. What do we gain from putting him out there. Others to think about resting? Webb/Jimmy Daryl Smith We need to see what we have in our depth and who needs to be cut from the team.
  9. In my opinion, you put the best guy you have back there. Like someone said earlier, if an injury is gonna happen, it can happen at any time in the game. Field position is so important. And one point I would like to make, if the steelers can put Antonio Brown, their number 1 receiver and probably a top 5 receiver in this league, we can put Webb back there.
  10. I think we said the same thing about Corey Graham when he first got here. Let's give the guy a chance before we call him a "camp body"
  11. What would you guys think of bringing in James Harrison on a 1 year deal? Hear me out. He could play the role that was McPhees at a much cheaper price and in my opinion at the same production level. In his first game against us he was blitzing from everywhere and he was doing great. I think he could do the same for us. And he could spell suggs and doom every once in a while.
  12. Never heard of Letroy Guion. But I would rather have 32 year old Wilfork over 14 games in 3 years Guion.
  13. I understand what you're saying but we haven't seen enough of either to know what we actually have. We don't even know how KLM is progressing in his rehab, if he even looks explosive. A cheap stop-gap like wilfork that has something to prove would be a great addition on the D-line and someone that those two can learn from, especially Brandon.
  14. If Vince Wilfork is released, I would love to go after him on a cheap 2-year deal. The D-line would be explosive pairing him with ngata.
