  1. They are going to build the O Line first.. They understand, now* that Joe needs it and for 6yrs/120 mil. he's not going anywhere..

Expect a T at 16.. or us to move back if we think we can still get the T we want later in the first and steal another 2nd rounder.

    Stanley
    A. Lewis
    Nick Mangold
    Yanda
and top T in this year draft

would be good enough for best O Line in the division for sure..

  2. funny that STANLEY was as confused at what kind of lineman the ravens wanted,a pass blocking lineman? or a run blocking one, well actually ALEX LEWIS was better at both and a more complete lineman,STANLEY tended to get pushed around by the likes of HARRISON and BULL RUSHERS,he needs to get stronger this offseason,if you look back at the games when ALEX LEWIS was in at left tackle,we won ALL of those games.

Stanley had a solid year man.. Once he came back from his injury he did really good.. You say look back at all the games Alex Lewis started and we won like, as if to say Lewis is a 6 year vet.. He's a rookie too.. How many games did Stanley start at OT that we could have won before blowing it?..

  3. B Williams is expendable.. Great player but fortunately for baltimore, DL is the one area of our team we do rather well at drafting so the depth is there.. Loosing Williams to another team will hurt us far less than having to outbid and overpay for him keeping us from addressing the real issues on the Baltimore Ravens roster.. Pass Rusher.. WR.. DB...OL... TE... RB and now ILB

As far as OJ Howard.. if he is there at 16 I cant argue with taking him.. An unstoppable TE can do wonders for a rather sketchy WR corps.. Ask NE about that.. Though I feel we have positions we are worse off in that we will look to address at 16..

  4. He's a practice squad guy... It means little next to nothing.

To you my friend, I would argue that if our trend of 19+ players on IR from a year ago continues (6 of which were DBs) then this pick up is far more than next to nothing.. its more like.. next in line.. As we will go to our practice squad for a replacement before peaking at the Free agent list and/or proposing trades.

  5. Im going to go out on a limb and say Flacco tops 30 TD passes this season.. Trestman likes the bigger receivers on the outside (Marshall & Jeffery) So look for Perriman and Marlon Brown to be outside with Steve Smith Sr and Campanaro rotating in the slot. Maxx Williams and/or Dennis Pitta to hold down TE.. Oh and cant forget about Justin Dorsett.. I mean Forsett*!.. ;)

  6. Some players I think we will keep an eye on and possibly bring in to atleast talk too even if we know its far fetch

RB- Roy Helu, Jaquizz Rodgers, Stevan Ridley

WR- **Demaryius Thomas**, Eddie Royal, Kenny Britt, **Michael Crabtree**

TE- Julius Thomas, Jordan Cameron, Vernon Davis, Virgil Green, **Charles Clay**

CB- **Antonio Cromartie**, Brandon Flowers, Charles Peanut Tillman, Byron Maxwell

    S- **Devin McCourty**

The ** ** is my indication that these signee's would make our team vastly better and place us into the Super Bowl contender category without question. and I will gladly explain each of them below:

Demaryius Thomas would bring something to Baltimore that has never been here since 1996' and that is a for sure big bodied./ big play #1 WR.

Some of the same goes for Michael Crabtree..very sure handed and would be respected as a #1 WR on a weekly basis.. maybe not as explosive as a Demaryius Thomas but explosive none the less.. I do not see us getting both btw. it would deff be one or the other if any at all..

Charles Clay while not the most popular of the TE's I listed and probably not the best either. One thing he does have over them is he is the youngest and doesnt have the prior history of injuries. The dude is a stud and would be affordable.. He could groom into something special with Flacco and Kubiak (God willing he stays)

Antonio Cromartie.. Cromartie proved this year he is still a top cover corner in this league.. With Jimmy Smith coming back if we could get Cromartie to be the #2 on the other side of that.. And move Webb to a slot corner.. Hell if that was our lineup Saturday night I think we are traveling to Indy this weekend to play for a AFC championship, it would be that good.

And lastly while I do have tons of optimism and faith in Terrance Brooks to be the long term answer for Baltimore at FS if you wanted an immediate and stable response now there is no doubt Devin McCourty is a top FS in this league and him next to Will Hill at SS could be larger than large..

So again while I am not guranteed we make all or even any of these moves.. I am simply stating the benefit of having each of them possibly come true..

  7. Love the pick.. Lock up that Defense which wins championships. We played it well.. still can get a solid WR.. Allen Robinson.. Jordan Matthews still on the board.. Also some good OL are there.. Alabama OL , UVA OL still on the board.. Id look at one of them in the 2nd round, maybe move up.. RBs are at full depth as none were selected in the first round.. Well played Ozzie.. Keep workin!

  8. no...if you get Steve Smith this year, youre just saying that you dont want to go 8-8 until you finally find good new talent to stick around long term. I dont understand why bridging the gap between the present and the future is such a foreign concept for the majority of this fan base.

There is finally good talent out there now to get that is younger instead of getting smith for a year or two.. kill two birds with one stones or else your re visiting the same issues every off season..

  9. I think I would rather have the best player in Panther's franchise history who has been consistent ever since his 2nd year of playing than a iffy Britt who can go either way. Remember the Ravens need a play maker to be a play off contender. If so Smith will only be signed for a 1 or 2 year deal. If Britt comes cheap as well why not get him also? He may come cheap because not many teams want him.

My point is if you get Steve Smith this point in his career your saying we will win a Super Bowl this year and or next year.. because at that point he will be gone.. Lets be real here.. we are all ravens fans and have the right to dream but realistically speaking we will not go from 8-8 to Super Bowl with a 35 year old Steve Smith.. We need to think young talent and get some longetivity..not 1-2 year experiments

  10. Id rather gamble on Kenny Britt than Steve Smith.. Im just sayin.. the guy is only 25.. if anything give him a one year deal.. If it works out this season then next year when the cap goes up another 10 mill you can lock him up for a long term deal.. the talent is definitely there.. possibility for a huge reward.. Seems like the type of player that would give his all if playing for a contender.. Just a thought.. You never know these days

  11. Nicks will be a Panther.. James Jones will likely go to the Jets and give them the 1-2 punch to help Gino Smith or whoever they line up at QB.. Steve Smith will be a NE Patriot.. Thats the best fit for him.. He's at the end of his career and he knows that.. This stage of his career its Super Bowl is the only thing on his mind.. So ask yourself.. Bellicheck and Brady or Harbaugh and Flacco?.. Case closed.. Edelman then likely falls to Baltimore.. The Ravens guy all along they just sit and wait to sign him so that they dont have to spend the most.. Classic Ozzie move

    1

  12. Edelman had one good season so far... Even Lee Evans had more - and we all know how that panned out...

Bottom line Edelman is a playmaker.. Their is a reason Ozzie and Harbaugh and the FO have interest in him.. they are responsible for putting the players on the field to win ball games.. you tellin me you dont trust them?

  13. He has proven he can still play.... Plus Edelman will probably get a lot more money than Smith which the Ravens cannot afford when they need to sign Daryl Smith and possibly a C, RT, or FS

Of course he would get more money , he can play longer.. that only makes sense.. hes almost 10 years younger my friend. Lol.. and I hate to say it but Daryl Smith will probably not be a Raven next year.. Broncos have showed interest and at his age and experience playing for non playoff teams (including us).. Denver may appeal more to him as far as reaching the playoffs and possibly even a Super Bowl before he has to hang up the cleats.. Jon Elway is not messing around this off season. He knows he has 2 more years 3 at the most with the greatest QB ever, he's doing all he can to make sure he puts the team around him to win and win now!

  14. Steve Smith to answer the second half of your statement.

Steve Smith is 35 years old. Edelman 27.. Smith had 2 big injuries last year.. Edelman had 0.. Steve Smith was on the Panthers and up and coming super bowl contending team.. Why are they releasing him if he means so much?.. Because he doesnt.

  15. Edleman had one good year and so many of you are acting like he is going to be the savior. Remember Gronk was hurt, Amendola was hurt, and it was either Edleman or 2 other rookies for Brady to pass to. Acting like he is the truth, but in all honesty we would be better off just drafting a wide receiver in the 2nd round of this deep draft class instead of overpaying for Edleman. If he is that big of a game changer at the level that some of you expect, then the Pats would have gone out of their way to keep him. We have more important holes to fill, and cheaper receivers out there.

My friend.. Name the last player NE has quote "gone out their way to keep".. Dont bother looking it up cause you wont find anything.. As far as pointing out all the injuries.. you simply solidify the fact that he makes plays.. He was the #1 target in NE last year and tore it up.. In baltimore he'd be the slot.. the #3 target behind Torrey Smith and Dennis Pitta.. So one is to believe that if he can perform the level he did being the "go to guy" irregardless of his QB.. he'd be an ideal fit on a team looking for a #3 target.. Are their cheaper recievers possibly.. are they a better fit for Baltimore.. probably not..There is a reason that Baltimore is a predicted landing spot for Edelman

  16. A bit OFF - but have the Broncos beeen granted exemption from the cap limit or what??? They have grabbed Talib on a "mega-deal", landed TJ. Ward and now DeMarcus Ware... The heck? Super Bwol teams' rosters are usually ransacked and looted the following summer, not muscled up even more...

Not exactly.. Their front office is just smart and crafty in structuring their players deals.. The Broncos have some high paid FA's on the market right now that they arent signing.. D-RC.. Wesley Woodyard.. Eric Decker.. Moreno.. They cut Bailey.. The money is there.. They were predicted to be big spenders and to no surprise they have made the biggest and probably the best moves thus far.

  17. D ware off the board to the Broncos, 3 for 30.. Come on OZ sign somebody. There are plenty of our guys left Graham, D Smith, and quality players who are cut that dont cost picks, like Peppers, likely Steve Smith, Antonio Cromartie, Champ Bailey, likely Revis,

    Get somebody

Cromartie possibly* if Grahm goes elsewhere.. Peppers if he's still available in mid April everybody else will be either long gone and or dont belong in Baltimore.
