  1. If he is anticipating pressure being there due to being hit so often and doesn't have pressure for once but thinks he may, I'd find it hard to criticize the guy. You see ghosts when you are always getting hit.
  2. We are missing Britton, thought Brach was ready to be a closer but guess I am wrong
  3. I am going to give this draft an A, I think we did a really good job getting the best players available. The offensive guys all went earlier than we had them ranked so we scooped up value on the defense. Nothing wrong with that. I am concerned about the offense for this year but I am as excited about the defense as I have been for a Long time.
  4. We get another high pick and get that much better the next year
  5. I am really starting to like this pick. I know I criticize those people that always have picks "grow" on them after their initial reaction but I really like this situation for Humphrey and watching the interviews I think he will be good for us. He doesn't have to start immediately and if he does start he will be the #2 CB with plenty of potential safety help. We have a lot of flexibility with him based on how he develops and the Alabama defense is complicated meaning he should be able to grasp the scheme stuff a bit faster than most guys. And when we get him developed a bit on locating the deep balls and the footwork a bit we are talking about a 6'0 197 pound guy who can run in the low 4.4s and is physical in the run game but also quick enough to run a 6.75 3 cone drill. Been wanting more CB help for years and I think we have found it.
  6. There are definitely people who are biased against the defense, we all know who these people are. Plenty of other reasonable people though and no reason to go crazy when some people want to give the offense a pass based on questionable talent. I was tough on the defense in 2015 with all the blown leads and the only big injury being Suggs but I think a lot of people were giving the defense a pass in 2014 when nothing was there. I remember saying all that offseason we were short on corners.
  7. Yeah I think we can certainly make the playoffs this year but I don't see us going into New England and winning with this offense right now. I think if we get the offense fixed next year that becomes a lot more realistic.
  8. Well if one side does it, I guess that makes it okay for you to do it right? You ever hear the saying that if you argue with a moron you will lose because they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience? That is what you do when you throw excuses out there like that, drop yourself to their level. I won't bring up too much politics but I will say that people who talk like this in politics really make me mad. Have some integrity in yourself and don't let others dictate how you argue. There are people biased against the defense, plenty of others who aren't. Maybe you should appeal to those people in your arguments as opposed to looking just as bad. I try to be fair in my judgments based on what I see. I can be wrong, I can be right. I don't treat both sides differently however and ask the offense to do more than they can while giving the defense a pass every time someone gets a broken nail. I give the defense a pass when nothing is there like 2014, I was a bit harsher in 2015 when I saw better talent and the injury bug hit mainly the offense but maybe I am wrong, they did pretty well for a good chunk of last year. I will say there is no excuse this year with all that talent but I think that is a given unless we get crazy injuries again. As for offense, they haven't been this concerning since 2013 and it is going to be really hard for me to judge anyone with this current group right now. Flacco to me is what he has usually been which is inconsistent but on when it matters. But the coaches are going to have their work cut out for them in developing the WRs and O-line and should get some leeway. We don't have a reliable chain mover and have 2 holes in the O-line. That is an issue considering our only big passing options are speed threats and we will probably struggle having time for the deep routes to develop. I don't care if certain players have starting experience, so does Elam, you wanna give him a spot? If people want to criticize the offense for every speedbump they hit this year then they are no better than the ones you hate so much.
  9. Honestly I think the Ravens are still a year from having a legitimate shot at getting another super bowl. I think the defense is ready to go but the offense is going to need another offseason to get the talent in there. Should be real fun after that though
  10. Uh no, the offense has it's share of holes this year and people shouldn't flip out if they aren't the 2016 Falcons. Honestly if the group is even average I will be happy. You have given the defense plenty of passes due to not enough talent in the past(with plenty of high draft picks being misses), would be silly to not do the same with the offense. The defense on the other hand needs to be top 5 for us to have a chance this year and they have talent to very realistically make that happen. Maybe if the FO decided to add a bunch of FAs and spend the first 4 picks on offense you can do this whole no excuses stuff with that group but anyone with a brain can tell the defense has more talent than the offense and will need to make up the difference for the Ravens in general to be good.
  11. I know someone who approves of this
  12. What the title says I'll go with my own... Gareon Conley will be the best corner from this draft Dalvin Cook will get over 1,200 rushing yards this year and close to 500 receiving yards
  13. Was a red star guy so that is really good
  14. Malik Hooker: Took at 6, went 14. -8 Ryan Switzer: Took at 171, went at 133, +38 Jayon Brown, took at 156, went at 155, +1 Nate Gerry, took at 195, went at 184, +11 Only loss was Hooker but considering how I had nothing at FS and the QBs not going early in the forum mock, I am going to trust my own evaluations on him which say that he should be really good in that centerfield role. Tackling concerns should be balanced out by one of Gerry, Ihedigbo, or Blanton who can all do well in the box. Brown gives me some needed linebacker depth in coverage and Switzer gives me competition in the slot with Kerley along with a potential punt returner
  15. Pretty sure Trubisky only started one year
  16. Yeah and all you are doing is nitpicking someone's point to feel good about yourself. No one goes into the 6th expecting it to make their draft and if they do, they are stupid. Can 6th rounders be good? Sure but the chances they become good? Pretty rare. It is like buying a lottery ticket and expecting to win.
  17. Wow, so you are saying that if we could go back in time and draft Antonio or Brady we would all do it? What next? You gonna go off and say Super Bowls are something we should want?
  18. Yeah those whole 2 players out of 341234214 taken in the 6th round made a great draft. Maybe we should start trading all our picks for 6th rounders then with those odds haha
  19. Way to go captain obvious, great stuff
  20. Yeah if people really think it is likely that a guy like that is even there, they probably think every lottery ticket will win as well
  21. Yeah why haven't the Ravens found a Brady yet? Getting guys like him and Antonio in the 6th is sooooo likely given the total number of 6th rounders taken lol
  22. Yeah guys like that will always have an good chance at making the roster. Can do a lot worse with a 6th round pick
  23. I'd imagine he plays a lot of special teams for us
  24. Good luck, that is about all I got
  25. Oh cool, bad Ubaldo is back from his vacation
