  1. Why the hype? Assuming health, he can get separation like no one else in this class, he is a guy defenses will have to account for every snap, we can actually have a good returner again. Tons of room for improvement as well as while he is decent at routes, he can certainly get better there. Also Perriman made plenty of spectacular catches but had quite a few drops in college. Think his drop rate was around 15%. And while Ross doesn't win jump balls a lot(wow, go figure with his size), the guy has had his share of really nice catches and his drop rate for last year was less than 5%. Reasons why I would be concerned, health, not winning jump balls if your quarterback can't throw a deep ball where Ross doesn't have to wait everytime for the ball. Second one doesn't really apply to us although you could argue fit as we already have a ton of speed on the field. I'd just say Ross can win underneath with that quickness as CBs will be too scared of his speed. And if you give him extra attention, that opens things up for Wallace and Perriman. Not my favorite pick at 16 but if healthy I would be fine with it and comparing him to Perriman based on 40 times is a disservice to both players.
  2. Collins isn't worth that, Ronald Leary came on when Collins got injured and outperformed him. Just about any draft day scenario wehere we keep the 16th pick is better. Also -24 votes is pretty impressive
  3. Ah this thread brings back memories
  4. If you're not with me then you're my enemy
  5. Believe the Ravens had him as a 2nd rounder on their board(Jernigan was the first rounder and CJ was top 10). Me and @rmw10 liked him a lot when we saw him at TC in 2014 but it is really tough to say what he is at this point with the injuries he has gone through.
  6. Would be nice to have Webb back at a lower cost
  7. It's over, @LosT_in_TranSlatioN has the higher upvote total
  8. Sure but Yanda was still better than Boone and Monroe was great for us in 2013. The line was bad, Peterson had nothing to work with there with Bradford not having much time either. Their 6-0 start really is a testament to how dominant that defense is. Don't know if he has much left but judging him on 2 games last year would be like judging Ray Rice on his 2013 season(really is a shame he had to be stupid because he was poised for a huge bounce back year).
  9. Only real positions they had even healthy were C and RG. 2013 Ravens had good LT and RG play. Pretty comparable
  10. I am getting really mixed messages from the FO this offseason. I see a lot of moves that are making the current team worse and seem to be more for the future(like this one) but then we are throwing money around in FA like we need to win now. I'd be fine letting the younger guys compete for roles and trading away guys for picks or to save cap if we are rebuilding. It seems a bit silly though to think these guys are going through a rebuild given the money we have invested in FA and the fact that we haven't made the playoffs in 3 of 4 years and those seats have to be getting hotter(if the owner has to announce at the end of the year that you are still around, that is never a good thing). Also for the record, I think the Eagles are a really good fit for Jernigan and that next to Cox and Graham with Schwartz as the DC, he can do really well for himself.
  11. Pretty much my thoughts about posting on RT
  12. No he was the one who started random threads about the Cubs cheating and upsets being bad for sports among other odd topics
  13. Ah gotcha, still think he is more a guy in the mold of a Pierce or Williams as opposed to a pass rushing threat inside.
  14. Like Pierce but not sold on him rushing the passer, Urban needs to stay healthy, haven't heard anything from Carl Davis. Was he injured all last year or something? Think Urban or Davis suddenly becoming starters is stretching things, we are just naming guys on the roster at this point and hoping they can step up.
  15. Has he shown anything? Doesn't seemed to be favored by the team
  16. Kaufusi is already replacing Guy, I see Willie Henry as the guy we are probably going to depend on at 3-tech and asking them both to be starting caliber players is a big risk.
  17. We have an old Suggs, Judon, and Willie Henry as our best pass rushers. And it isn't like we don't have holes on O-line, at WR, and ILB. I hate to say it but the way things look right now, we could have a lot of new faces next year. We are pretty much hoping Kaufusi and Henry can be starters right now
  18. So that is worth giving ourselves another hole on defense? It isn't like our pass rush was that great to start with.
  19. Welp, we got a 3rd rounder for him... by giving up our 3rd rounder.
  20. Only problem I see with Dixon is pass pro, think that is all that is keeping him off the field. If he shores that up he should be good
  21. Think Stanley is going to get good, he finished the season giving up I think only 1 sack in the final 8 games and I think he develops into a top notch pass protector.
  22. By winning more than 8 games
  23. Also make sure to make giant walls of text that won't be formatted because you are a writer or something lol
  24. I am pretty much done now. Maybe I should pull a Romo and retire
