I think the Patriots put WD-40 on their shoes pre-game and pine tar on the Raven's. Fast vs. Slow couldn't have been more pronounced.

Is it possible they're throwing to Perriman less to avoid having to pay him? Giving Osemele the opportunity to thrive last year proved to be a major loss for us.

Fast, mentally strong starts define a GOOD team. We don't have that. Started with Hester's late fair catch call, then his fair catch call slash let the ball go to the one yard line, then a safety on a horrible run call, then a botched field goal. The Patriots had their domination scripted from the beginning. Starting with the 3rd series, our defense was relegated to a zone 4-man front with hardly any blitzing. Brady owned us. Flacco looked owned. We need to come out sharp with surprises, and that's what the Patriots did.

Did we really have to play KO at Left Tackle for those last couple games? Not only did we price him out of a guard contract, but we let the whole league get a chance to see how good he was. Another strange coaching decision.

This season can be salvaged if the Ravens keep the Steelers out of the playoffs. I could care less about the Bengals. Let them have their year.

Everything is mental for the kicker. And I have a very tiny hunch that the Ravens are not all there mentally this year. Just a tiny hunch.

So many perfectly scripted answers from the Ravens players... "We just have to work harder." "We have to do our job." "You have to understand the game." What do we need? An absolute phenomenon of a player to rally around. A war general. A ball hawk. A WR with glue on his hands. A QB who is relentless. A frustrated, pissed-off, passionate human being who isn't interested in media politics and knows how good we really are. Out of that belief comes championships.

Feel bad for Pitta. TE is the one of the few positions the Ravens have overbooked. Wish we had a Gillmore/Boyle/Williams in the WR/CB positions.

Elam is a free safety we used as a corner. Of course he's going to flounder. Watch his UF highlight reel again and it's clear to me we need this guy back. Use Elam the way the Cardinals used the "Honey Badger" Mathieu and we could have another game changer.

I'd rather a tentative Jimmy Smith than an injured one.

Smith is an inspiration. When he announced his retirement, I got excited thinking we'd end at SB 50 on the shoulders of another GREAT. I'd say he's made even more of an impact so far in this final year than Lewis made in his final year, without Deer Spray. I only wish our record was something he could be proud of... stay around buddy.
