  1. In Flacco's defense ( which is hard to do right now), it really is more the O line than Flacco. Yes he has mad some dumb throws under pressure, but the O line is just not holding, you can see it in our running game also. I'm hoping with Yanda and a couple other guys back from injury it should stiffen up a bit. The Browns will be a good test for us. We better hope so because we have a much harder schedule coming up. It's only going to get tougher after the Browns. Most of his "dumb" throws were in a clean pocket. He's jut not very good, and we need to accept that. I am not saying Mallett is the answer either. But Joe is literally one of the worst QBs in the league right now. And he was awful last year, before all the injuries. I don't believe you. The numbers don't lie. Agree! Numbers don't lie. Flacco has been very bad. From 2013 to now he has 66 TDs and 53 Ints. If you take away the 2014 when Kubiak was here, 39 TDs 41 Ints ! Wow! Ironically from 2009 to 2012 88 TDs 44 Ints. It looks like he has regressed immensely.
  2. Did you watch the game at all? Dixon got several chances and couldn't get out of the backfield. He sat out the latter part of the game with what appears to be a back injury.
  3. Can't argue too much about your ponts.
  4. Will Davis got hurt and is nowhere near the same player he was when they traded for him. It's a smart move. And how is Ramsey, Jack & Fowler doing in Jacksonville? Best record in the league? Stanley>Ramsey. How is your blue chip draft pick Tunsil doing? I heard he's ranked behind Michael Pierce (undrafted free agent) in the top rookies this year. KO got paid as one of the top LT in the game - to play LG. Bad contract that the Raiders will regret when they have to pay Carr & Cooper top $$. Ramsey is doing great. The problem isn't just Will Davis. Can you name how many mediocre players this organization has brought in the the last 5 yrs? A glaring example is Shareece Wright. They were quick to sign him. He was with the 49ers and everyone knew that he isn't a good CB, but some how they felt that signing him was going to turn him around. There has been too many Shareece Wrights here in the last 5 yrs. As far as KO, the Raiders made a great move in signing him. You saw what a difference maker he was. The Ravens didn't even sniff Carr when we played the Raiders. Why are the Raiders great now? Great players, not cheap players. When it comes time to sign Carr/Cooper they will figure a way to do it - and they won't let any of them walk. I said this several years ago; what good is it to draft players, develop them and consistently let them walk? The Salary cap is very fluid and I think that the FO has to figure out how to work it. Think about the wasted money in bringing several players that would never catch on onto the roster. All those players are paid by the way regardless of how low the contract, when one adds it up, it amounts to a lot especially when there's a lot of such small contracts. And this has been the case. Ramsey doing great? You mean by giving up 500 yds of offense to the Titans? Or do you mean the 2-5 record? The Jags secondary with Ramsey has given up 225 passing yards a game. The Ravens secondary with Wright has given up 220 yards. Doesn't seem like Ramsey is all that great to me. David Carr is making $1.5 million, Cooper & Mack are making $5 million per. The Raiders are good because they can overpay players like KO, Crabtree, Irvin, etc. BECAUSE these guys are on their rookie contracts. Just like Seattle's run before they had to pay Russell Wilson. Where are the Seahawks now? Definitely not the same team. The Raiders window is this year and next. After that, they are going to have to pay Carr, Cooper, Mack, Gabe Jackson, etc. The question is still out on whether KO is worth the money but name 1 other free agent that the Ravens let walk that was even close to being worth what the next team paid for him. (Hint: You can't). You can't sign & keep everyone. This is what the NFL wanted. And quite frankly, I think the FO made the right move - I'd rather have Weddle & Wallace AND $6 million extra in cap space than have KO. You have your extra $6M in caps space and 4 straight losses. Congratulations!

And quite frankly, I think the FO made the right move - I'd rather have Weddle & Wallace AND $6 million extra in cap space than have KO. Just curious, are you saying because Ramsey plays for the Jags he is a bad player. Did you look at HIS game stats as opposed to the safeties and the other corners. With the same logic, does Jimmy Smith and Weddle suck because our secondary has allowed 14 TDs this year or are they bad because Eli Manning and Odell Beckham abused OUR secondary to the tune of 400+ yards for Manning and 200+ for Beckham. Good players go to bad teams, that's the nature of the draft to create parity in the league. I think Ramsey would have helped this team and to say Stanley is better when he has played in 3 of 7 games is a little premature. Now the future may prove you right or wrong, but when Ramsey hasn't missed a play and Stanely has missed more than half, it is WAY too early to say Stanley is reliable much less better than Ramsey. And the other part of that trade was Kaufusi who was not doing well before getting injured for the year so right now, until Stanley plays more and Kaufusi actually can play, I side on the Ramsey side of the equation. Agree with Fusuymada. The other guy I'm not even going to mention. That's the problem with some of our fans. Like Fusuymada, I'm not here to trash talk. I just present things as I see it. This is not a case of who can shout the loudest. Here are things as I see it: Ramsey is on a track to be a Jimmy Smith type player. It looks like he would have been great to draft to pair with Jimmy Smith to secure the CB position for at least 4 yrs to come. I know hind sight is 20/20, however drafting Ramsey would have made it unlikely that we would also get Stanley. In that case, assuming we had kept KO who can also play LT. We would have still been able to let Monroe go, and have KO at LT and Lewis at LG. Mr Einstein Sir, I can name a few Ravens that we let walk that we shouldn't have. (Sir I never implied that we keep everybody that comes up for a contract): J.J, Grubbs, McPhee, KO. Corey Graham, Boldin, Pollard etc And by the way the question is not "how well did those players do when they left?" but how bad a team did we become after they left. J.J. And Grubbs didn't affect us that much because we were so loaded on defense. #52, #20, #55, #92, #21 etc You see without those players of late we have struggled when we let great players walk. Secondly just because a player didn't have a great career after he left the Ravens doesn't justify our decision. Some of those players were developed in our system and would have likely had a better career with us for example Ellerbee, Jones , etc. Mr Einstein I have seen you argue on these boards that the Oline is the reason Flacco struggles. So if that is your logic then why should the FO get a pass for letting one of the best talents to come around on the Oline walk?

Another point, we as fans have fallen into the trap of defending the FO when they say things like "We can't pay him a tackle money ... He is a guard" The guy is a monster (KO) he is a mauler, he can play any position on the line. You keep him. His influence on the other players is priceless. I will easily admit that I don't know what the Ravens offered him, but I will go out on a limb and tell you that if they had come close, he would have signed for less than the Raiders paid him. I don't know why Ozzie would expect players to take huge pay cuts to sign with the Ravens.

  8. This FO is quickly becoming the keystone cops. The traded for Will Davis just last year. Now he is gone and only replaced by another undrafted free agent. They continuously pass on blue chip talents when the have the opportunity (eg Corey Graham, KO, Ramsey via draft) but continue this carousel of "camp bodies" Can someone please tell me how many bad players equal one good player.
  9. How about Flacco just plays well for a change. He is an NFL too. He is the highest paid Raven ever. Just can't blame the Oline for all his woes.
  10. No it doesn't mean that. The offense is different from team to team. Just like it takes OCs and QBs time to learn offense so it is with WRs
  11. I seriously doubt that. Could this be a case of someone who has made all the money he needs and just isn't driven. May be the thing that's in front of his mind is just to be able to go home to his kids.
  12. Just an aside, the symmetry between us and the Jaguars is uncanny. They look so unprepared on the game days, their QB wears number , and they just oferred up their OC as a scapegoat for their ineptitude. Does anyone believe that the firing of their OC is gonna turn their team around?
  13. You're joking right? Aikmen has proven to be better than everyone I highlighted. Right now, Aiken is the 3rd best WR we have behind SSS and Wallace. I dont think that was a joke... You can think that Kamar has out played all of them but Perriman is a high draft pick and will be given every chance to succeed (and yes even over Kamar) C Moore...is also a high draft pick who will play to Joe's strength... allowing us to stretch the field. Camp.... is a better athlete and a mismatch in the slot that Kamar cant be. While I have my doubts about Campanaro's ability to stay healthy in this league... I think he brings something to the table that Kamar cannot. I think Waller is even more of a mismatch... While I dont know why he is in the conversation bc he is playing TE>.... I do think Waller can be a giant mismatch.... But I get the point... the point being that with Moore and Perriman being a high investment... Wallace and SSS being our top WRs and Camp and Waller being the players we are looking to for mismatches moving forward... I am not sure where that leaves Kamar in our offense???????? Which is evidenced by his drastic dropped in numbers this year... suggesting the Ravens see it the same way! You are the only one who thinks Campanaro is a better athlete than Kamar Aiken. I hope the Ravens aren't pining there hopes on a WR that didn't even make the 53 man roster
  14. I think the Ravens do have some bad contracts, but Flacco is not one of them. Look at what other QBs are being paid...Dalton, Newton, Osweiler, etc. The market value for QBs is crazy high, and most teams have to pay it if they want a chance to be successful. The contracts that are hurting us right now are ones to Doom, Webb, etc. I don't know about Joe. Even when he had a decent O line he was never accurate.Jo can throw the deep ball but can't throw short, Perriman can run but can't catch, Kyle K can catch but can't block, Ravens can move the ball but can't score. Flacco's contract has to be worst. $120M+ contact with over $40M in bonus money paid right away, and he is the 29th ranked QB? How badly do you want him play? He is a QB that should have gotten minimal money while they used the saved money to sign KO and field a better team to carry a mediocre QB like him. As you can see he can't carry anybody. I don't see how anybody can see his contract and cry about Bernard Pierce's contract, as I have seen in these boards. Pierce never even finished his rookie contract, and he was not a first rounder.
  15. The Jaguars are looking like the Ravens tonight. Their QB is wearing number 5 too
  16. I am cautiously optimistic that we will turn it around after the by week. I think that the big X factor is Flacco. If he plays well, we will make the playoffs. Not if the Oline plays better, not if the WRs catch the ball or run the right routes etc. Obviously every one needs to play well and be at their best. However the most important thing is that Flacco play well because if he doesn't, regardless of how everyone else plays we're not going to win. The QB touches the ball in almost every offensive play. He has so much latitude to alter plays and call protection. The QB is the glue that holds everything together. A lot of fans think that we blame Flacco too much, but they don't realize how much influence a QB has on the game especially a veteran QB If Flacco doesn't improve his game - just buy your ticket for the next draft.
  17. Purple Dawg my bad! I mistook your post for Raven 1995's
  18. Agree 100%. All these Flacco apologists. This guy was always bad. He was carried purely by a great play making defense from day 1 when he became a starter. He played great in the 2012 playoffs. That's the rare time that he was good. Can the Oline be better? Surely Ozzie blew it once again. In the FO thinking, you can't have 2 great oline men because it would cost too much, so they signed Yanda and let KO walk but gave a below average QB a record deal. But they expect a great performance from the line. This FO is not what it's cracked up to be. I think they pat each other on the back when they meet. Ugh! He played Great in the 2014 Playoffs and scored 28 points against your vaunted Patriots, so get your facts straight or find aanother team to root for. When he is benched I hope you find another team to root for. Here's his stat since 2012 65 TDs 52 Ints; when you remove the so called 2014 season he has 38 TDs 40 Ints In the meantime he has had 2 $120M + contracts Some people don't like facts they just like talking out the side of their necks! Actually you have not provided any facts other than that Flacco scored 28 points in the 2014 AFC championship gave against the Patriots. The other fact you don't have is that he threw a costly int on the final minute of that game. You and I who is going by facts or emotions?

  20. You have to get to the playoffs first. Have you really thought about where the organization would be if this guy showed up most Sundays to play. We would obviously make more playoffs, more home playoff games. Why do you think that the Patriots have been to the Super Bowl 6 times!!! since 2002? They win a lot in the regular season and play the AFC championship game at home a lot. Why shouldn't we do everything to be that dominant organization. This organization think that they have their franchise QB that can help them become that dominant. But most Sundays he is just going through the motion.

  22. Yeah, Zuttah tripped him every single time he dropped back. SMH
  23. you are correct. They need a new coaching staff to take a new look at him and see him for what he is not what they want him to be. Agree. He plays so aweful every week, and he never gets benched. He was never great. In the beginning of his career, the defense carried him. The only decent time in his career was the playoff run of 2012. Without a great defense like we used to have, the wins have dwindled. Flacco isn't really playing any worse but there's no longer the defense to win the game like we used to have.
  24. It's called losing 4 games straight. I see that your grand plan is hope that other teams lose. Good luck with that one.
  25. I saw Joe fall twice.... He tripped over his Zuttah because he was being drilled into the backfield the entire game. I guess Joe is going to have to be in shotgun the rest of the year as I don't se Jeremy improving. Do you? Flacco fell 3 times. Twice the center was pushed back to him however it's true that the Oline is bad, but Flacco is worse. Position by position, he is by far the worst player on the offense.
