  1. If that happens the coach would certainly be gone.
  2. I truly believe that he can be an impactful WR. He proved it in 2015. If he goes to New England watch out.
  3. So, in other words, you just want to complain. Okay, got it. Not a complain. I just find that there are certain element who always want to minimize how badly Flacco has played since 2012 while tying up so much money. I know I only speak for myself; I don't care if the Browns, the Rams, Texans, 49ers etc have had 100 QBs. I only care about the play of our QBs. I don't look to those teams for solace, rather I look at Pittsburgh, New England, Seattle, Greenbay etc. why can't our QB play like those QBs. We aspire for the best WRs, CBs, Oline men, pass rushers, RBs. Why can't we aspire for the best QBs? We know the position is the hardest position in football, but our QB has had the keys since his rookie year. He has had all the support of the organization. They've never tried to undermine him. Why can't he reciprocate?
  4. Whatever you're smoking you need to blow it out 'cus it's destroying your judgement. Flacco needs to go? Who are you going to put at QB? Tell me, who? We live in a world where Kirk Cousins is a keeper! We need to fire our entire defense except for maybe for 6-8 players. THAT would be a start. I honestly want you to tell me who you would pick up to be QB if you got rid of Flacco. I can't wait to hear this answer... Here's my 2cents- Flacco was rated 25th in league before the game- probably drops to 27th after and there are only 32 teams. Almost anyone would be better than Flacco at this point. Don't get me wrong I like Joe, he's a nice guy ect but he has Sucked since signing the contract. Has forgotten basic mechanics and can't read defenses. We can't unload yet but as soon as we can we should. Cam Newton is 5 spots lower than Flacco. Using your logic, Cam is one of the worst QBs ever and the Panthers should dump him immediately....smh. According to ESPN (Idk where you get your rankings), Flacco is 18th in QBR - ahead of Newton, Wentz, Dalton, Manning, etc. You say get rid of Flacco but you offer no REAL solution. If finding an above average QB was easy, the Browns, Jets, Rams, Eagles, Texans, Bills would have had one by now. All of these teams have drafted at least 1 or 2 QBs in the 1st Round and still haven't found one. Are you a Ravens fan or Flacco's groupie? Flacco has not lived up to his contract. He is in the top 5 for salary and bottom 10 in productivity. That's a huge disparity. I clearly understand any fan's frustration. It's not the job of the fan to provide Ozzie with alternatives to an underachieving QB.
  5. In my mind this team didn't improve from last year. We were 5-11 last year with all the injuries. This year playing with the starters most of the season with the exception of Jimmy Smith, we are 8-8. I'd say the team didn't improve much.
  6. Your logic doesn't hold water. Dumerville revealed his injury because the season is over. This Bengals game is meaningless. In fact he is doing the opposite of excuses. If he wanted to make excuses he would have held a press conference in the beginning of the year to let everyone know that he just had Achilles surgery.
  7. Perhaps true; however, Dumervil's injury was kept secret by Dumervil, not Harbaugh. So what Elvis say to John. " Coach, I have an issue and will be back in week 12" Seriously, I think the Ravens PR people are up to this, but why.? My NFC team I get flooded with football News & Information but the Ravens act like fans are fourth string for lack of better terms. Crusader what happened is very simple. Dumerville had to have told the organization. He couldn't keep his injury secret to the employer. However he has the right to ask the team to not make it public. Once again my hats off to Dumerville for competing hard and not make any excuses.
  8. If we can gain 6 Mill in cap space its time to say bye bye This line of thinking is quite surprising. Dumerville showed heart. In 2015 he played ferociously with 60% torn Achilles. He played with heart. He played every down because Suggs was injured. He never complained, he never made any excuses. He had surgery in the offseason and only kept it a secret because he didn't want to use it as a cop out. He gave it his best shot and never sort sympathy. Imagine the scenario; playing with 60% of Achilles torn, having surgery in the offseason and tried to make a come back in week 4. Every other takes a year to comeback from such injury and you guys can't appreciate him. If I were Ozzie I'm signing him to contract however at a reduced price. Dumerville has heart and still has a lot left in the tank.
  9. I agree with a lot of the posts. Bonafide pass rushers to help Suggs are needed. The reason I'm not eager for a new OC is that, that will provide apologies for Flacco early next season. He usually doesn't start playing well till the 12 regular season game to begin with anyway, and a new OC will provide ammunition for his apologists. He needs to start playing well from the first game of the regular season, otherwise we're gonna again find ourselves in a position where we need something like 6 straight wins to make the playoffs. If we had beaten The Redskins and the Jets where would we be now? A pro bowl caliber CB to play with Jimmy Smith, and Tavon Young. A physical heady safety to help Weddle and Webb. Give Chris Moore reps, and add an outstanding WR through the draft or free agency
  10. Agree but Ozzie and DeCosta will get cute with it. They will probably trade down and stock up on project CBs that will never materialize.
  11. 3 out 4 yrs missing the playoffs. The organization clearly states that they have a goal to make the playoffs every year and take their chances on the Lombardi trophy, knowing they can't get the trophy every year. Every disappointed fan has a right to be. Right now this organization is not winning. While I don't call for a head coaching change, it wouldn't surprise me if it happens.
  12. I agree with all the points expounded by the first 4 fans on this board today. I think 1. Ozzie needs to stop the mentality of bargain basement shopping especially when it comes to DBs. Most fans that have followed this team know what I'm talking about. DBs win championship. Save money elsewhere. 2. When you have a home grown proven talent like KO, leave no stone unturned in signing him. I know we can't sign every player that comes up for contract. As a GM it should be a badge of honor to retain the best talents. I often hear fans say something to the effect "... is not worth that money" Really? How much would a win last night worth to you? 3. Flacco played extremely well last night, but I think the organization over estimated his ability at least on a consistent basis. If he had been consistent enough, we might have lost this game last night but we're still heading to the playoffs. They gave him too much money especially on the current contract. The first contract was more understandable but they were hoodwinked by Flacco's agent on the second one. If you remember Flacoo hadn't done much since his first contract when he was signed to the second one. 4. If you are looking for the renaissance of the traditional Ravens D, you are not going to find it with Dean Pees. His philosophy is set. He has been in charge since 2012. 5. I believe Harbaugh is a good leader of men, but his love affair with everything ex -Eagles is killing this team. They are the Eagles and we are the Ravens. The Eagles never won any championships in football. Remember the washed out former Eagles pass rusher ( his name escapes me right this minute ) that he signed last season that only lasted a couple of games. We have former Eagles personnel all over the team; Castillo, Mornhenweg. Why is this important? Because this predilection to settling for a coach or player based on perceived prior reputation could be costing us talents. Even though Hester was not a former Eagle but he was only signed based purely on reputation not current status. So we await for the signing of Tyrek Hill of the chiefs 10 yrs from now instead of finding our own Tyrek Hill today. 6. Overall coaching. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that Breshad Perriman has a flaw with the way he catches the ball, and that's why he has drops in every game. It's on tape. This is his second season, so why does he continue with that bad habit. If he can't change let Moore get the reps.
  13. Flacco played flawlessly today. This one's on Dean Pees and his timid play call. We were in a position where it was win or go home. I'd rather go down swinging.
  14. It's not necessarily the pass rush, as much as it was the defensive play call. That was a time to sell out ie blitz with bad intentions. We went into prevent D
  15. My heart goes out to Smith Sr. and Suggs. This might be their last year. It's disheartening that we're not able to send then off with the Super Bowl or at least a deep playoff run. I would like to see both of them next year though if the organization makes a serious effort to improve.
  16. Except he was quite often talked about as slipping into the back end of the first round.....Thanks though Chuck Most people were shocked that We picked him in the second round. He could've still been there in the 5th.
  17. That Correa pick was a cute pick; i.e. I'm smarter than u pick. I bet half the scouting personnel around the NFL never even heard of Kamalei Correa until the Ravens picked him.
  18. Good insight
  19. Freaking Ryan Mathews looked like the league best back against the Ravens last week. What makes U think LB will do less ? They looked tired in the second quarter. One can bet The Steelers saw that too! There's no doubt that the run defense had a rough day. Prior to last week we were the #1 ranked run defense. There's a reason for that. The Raves usually play LB well. Holding him to 100 yds below his game average this year. 100 YARDS! To try and argue that Flacco has been as good as our defense and much less our run defense is just a non starter.
  20. If there is any silver lining in the way we struggled today against a sub 500 team, it's that we will go into Pittsburgh on edge. What worries me is that nearly the whole team would be playing with a chip on its shoulder except the QB. I thought they were "cranky" this week. So why did the defense fail to stop the run? Flacco's turnovers ruined at least a 13-point victory. You forgot also that Flacco lost a fumble inside our own 30 yd line that led to their first TD. So how many points was that?

  22. Well let me just say this...We've had 4 different offensive coordinators since Harbaugh has been here and our offense has been the same boring offense for 9 years. Now if the coordinators are truly the ones running the offense, why hasn't the offense changed? When Kubiak came to the Ravens, Harbaugh said it wouldn't be Kubiaks offense... it would be the Ravens offense. And you know what?????? It is the Ravens offense!! And who runs the Ravens?? HARBAUGH!! So that tells me that Harbaugh (Horri-ball) runs the offense. It has shown that for 9 years. Unless of course Steve and Ozzie allow Harbaugh to hire FRIENDS without a REAL plan. The Ravens had no adjustments for the Patriots. So you play the WHOLE GAME the same way? Try adjusting your offense to where they don't know what you're going to do. Unless you totally ignore in-game adjustments. Or maybe you're not experienced in making adjustments! Forget next week!! Theres no way we beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh! I HOPE I'M WRONG!! In game adjustments are a novel idea for thus offense. They draw up a game plan sometime during the week and it seems as though they take an oath to never deviate from it whether it's working or not. The New England game was a glaring example.
  23. Ummmmm, it was a schemed play, called by Morninhweg. Even Harbaugh admitted he should have vetoed it. They called the play they didn't call interception. He could have thrown it away or thrown it to Waller.

  25. Ravens win out = Division win. Ravens beat Squealers, Squealers lose to Browns = Division win. squeelers lose to browns? hahahahahahahahaha how about flacco playing like a 120 mil man and beating the raiders skins giants and jets. brady would have put up 45-60 against the eagles today But Flacco put up 27 and got the W so I don't see why we are talking about Brady. Today was the worst I've seen our D in a long time
