  1. "Tough loss, BUT a blessing in disguise. High draft pick , experience for younger players , easy schedule next season , chip on their shoulders , get team leaders back & a blue chip free agent signing. This team will be scary good next season. Consider this season a detox. As a fan I have all the faith this time next year we'll be talking about how good this team is." Please don't start with that talk about being great next season. First of all, it's too early to tell. Secondly every time this team has been projected to be good, it struggles. It must go to the players' heads. I remember what the players were saying before the Denver game "this is just the first team in our way in what we're going to do ..." Or something to that effect. They forget that they have to go and play and win the games. There are no gifts in the NFL. My opinion is that this is a rebuilding team. Until the times comes when it's a bonafide good team I would shy away from such talks.
  2. Sooner the FO realize that we can't win with Trestman the better we can be. If I were the FO, I'd be looking around for an OC that's just not buried in the play book but in the game. We can get that coach started now, so that by next season, we hit the ground running.
  3. I'm really not upset at Dumerville. He definitely should have avoided putting his hand that high. However Dumerville is one of the remaining bright lights on this team. He plays relentlessly every down. If a third of the team played that hard or the coaches coach half as good as Dumerville plays, we would be 6 - 3 of better
  4. "Have we officially shifted from fire Pees to fire Trestman? Or is it fire both now?" In my opinion, both have to go especially Trestman. Talent could make up for Pees defensive philosophy, as proven with the Super Bowl. However no amount of talent can make up for an OC that has no idea of down and distance, and completely lacks the feel for the game. A great OC like Kubiak is highly aware of where the game is at anytime. That ensures that the right call is delivered to the QB.
  5. Trestman is so reminiscent of Cam Cameron. No feel for game or down and distance. He just reads off the play book with little understanding of where the game is at. We could have taken control of this game earlier on if we ran the ball as we ought to do.
  6. "All fair weather fans leave now! The rest of us will stay." Feel free to be a chair leader. I am a dissatisfied fan.
  7. This loss is on Trestman, and not Dumerville. We cannot never ever be an elite team with Trestman when we have talent much less this year when we have no talent.
  8. I saw the "highlights" article you posted on him. I'm glad you are a big fan of his. I hope he recovers and proves his worth.
  9. I'm wishing him all the luck. But that write up was beyond just Osgood-Schlatter. It's a recurring theme for him. As you can see already - from training camp to now.

  11. "Not saying he is a bust, but Perriman has always been injury prone throughout his young football career. The Ravens have been drafting injury prone players lately - Campanaro, now Perriman. The information on these 2 players was out there prior to their draft. You would think the scouts would know this. For Campanaro we sacrificed a pick to move up to get him. For Perriman - a first round pick. I'm sure their were many options on the board when he was drafted. Where do you get this? He was not injury prone here at UCF. Not at all." Yeah he was. There was an article on that. The article was entitled something like "...Perriman overcame injuries to make it to the NFL.." I'll try and find it

  13. "why would we want to make the playoffs with this defense and receiver crew only to get knocked out in the wild card game and miss out on a top 5 pick" Place all the good players on IR, and play the rest of the season with practice squad players. To avoid injury to Flacco, make him the emergency QB. Let Schaub play the rest of the season. He needs practice to get ready for next season as a reliable back up. I don't see anything wrong with that ... Lmao!
  14. Irrelevant right now.
  15. Agree with Crusader. Jacoby is not washed up. Just because the Ravens doesn't sign anybody doesn't mean the player is washed up. This is a financially conservative organization. Jacoby is not a threat as a WR, however he is a bonafide threat as a returner. Period! He may have negative yards here and there, but he will break one open if the opportunity presents. Fans read and believe Jamison Hensley too much. The guy is a story writer. He is not a scout.
  16. "Lets all make fun of Jacoby Jones and stab him in the back as we Ravens sit here 2-6. If he was so washed up then why was the Ravens so afraid to kick to him during the game? They made sure the ball landed in the third row. Putting people down just to make us feel better is just SICK." Exactly!
  17. Trestman reminds me of Cam Cameron. No feel for the game and as such very poor at situational football. Yet our offense has actually been quite good this year considering the lack of talent in several key areas. He wouldn't crack my top 5 of problems on this team right now." Don't forget that he is working out of Kubiak's play book. One could say that he is still new at it, however how could we forget how many times we have bogged down on the offense in critical times in the game. Our 3rd down conversion is way worse than last year's, our red zone scoring is atrocious. How soon we forget! We win a game against the Chargers, and we're all of a sudden an offensive machine. SMH. We are 2-6; we lost to the Browns at M&T stadium. In that game, we were up 14-3 and in position to go up 21-3, but we diddle dallied around till the Browns came back and beat us. There are too many instances like this this season. We are not running the ball well, and quite frankly we have gone too pass happy, in that there have been many instances when we ought to be running the ball, but throw it an deny up getting off the field. I think that that stats Ryan put up is so misleading. If we had lost to the Chargers, I bet you we would be talking about firing Trestman right now

  19. Yeah Perriman is weeks away from playing. The season is weeks away from being over.
  20. "A lot of QB's would "Blow The Game" if they were throwing to primarily Practice Squad receivers." Enough with the excuses for the QB. I don't wanna hear it. I hold every player accountable. Just win baby just win. I don't care if he is playing with Practice squad or not. Fact is they are all NFL players.
  21. Kubiak vs Trestman; Any doubt who is better at situational football, or who has a better feel for the game?
  22. @merryjman"I think what I like most about this losing season is that Bisciotti is not panicking and firing a bunch of staff the way othe rlosing teams have - he trusts the coaches and GM, and recognizes the obstacles the Ravens have had to face in terms of injury and dead cap money. This is a rough ride so far, but we the fans should show the team and staff the same respect that Bisciotti has, and not start calling for so-and-so to be fired or released." You have no idea. Even Ex-coach Billick didn't see it coming when Bisciotti fired him. I'm sure he is very disappointed with the team. Since the Super Bowl we're 19-20. We are a losing team. If we miss the playoff this year and continue to look like we have (a bad team, unbecoming of a Raven team), Harbaugh will automatically be on a hot seat going into next year.
  23. If Marlon Brown makes the 53 man roster next season, then something is wrong.
  24. I don't know what all these apologies are for. We're not using injuries as an excuse for the secondary and the coaches, and why would we now use WRs as excuse for Joe Flacco? None of his 7 interceptions this year is because of a WR. He is not playing well. He is not reading defenses well - nothing new. I have seen several times when WRs are open Marlon Brown), and he doesn't throw to them. Talk about QBs making WRs, I guess that doesn't apply to Joe Flacco. We know Marlon can play better. We saw what he did in his rookie season. Joe is only looking at Steve Smith, and when he is covered he just chucks it up there, or throw uncatchable passes to the other receivers. He has been the QB for almost 10 yrs, when is he going to raise his play? Or better yet, when are we gonna stop making excuses for him?
  25. Things to look forward to next year: the dead money should be gone from the salary cap, Flacco's salary would and should not be near as ridiculous, and some decent injured players would be back. The FO can use the money to get real good talent.
