  1. i like Aiken i stated this the first game i saw him as a raven. I could see him filling the roll that Boldin left behind when he was traded. Do i think he will match production perfectly probably not, i dont think anyone could match what boldin brought his whole career. but i think he has the tools to fill that roll moving forward. and i think Aiken's ability as a possession receiver for joe fits what joe is looking for as a receiver. no one ever says anything about it neither does Joe, but Joe performs better with possession WR/TEs then he does with speed receivers. Just like when pitta was healthy, Joe targeted him and Boldin in the tough yard situations. As i see him doing the same with many of our WR/TE especially Aiken, but also including Max Williams if he can live up to the potential. Just my thought, i feel like our TE and WR core is probably in better situation then most teams at this point in time. Hell id take ours over Seattles right now that hasnt lost anyone Post Superbowl loss to the patriots.
  2. i dont want him to want the #2 spot, i want buck and him both to want the #1 spot, even if they dont take it, that shows putting in 110% effort for the team
  3. we face off against jimmy graham again this year, Hill did an excellent job last year with his size i dont want anyone else on jimmy again this year outside of hill
  4. @robbie29 the reason why our passing game sucked in 2013 was there was no run game, teams new we had to pass it. if you look at the AFC Playoff game against the patriots, outside of that failed pass to torrey to seal the victory for the patriots. Flacco past it to i do believe 11 targets that game. We have 3 tight ends who should be able to attack the middle of the field and the soft spots of the opposing defense, thats not including the chance that pitta actually returns. We have 3 solid running backs under this zone blocking scheme should be able to succeed even more then last year, with Forsett leading the pack. Our receivers should be able to play there part aswell. dont expect gotti numbers from our receivers but expect the offense as awhole to produce more then any offense in ravens past.
  5. dont be surprised if Carter ends up on the roster and Camp hits the practice squad, or even the IR. Look camp isnt going to be in the top of the rotations at WR, Steve Smith SR and Perriman will be at top of the list with Marlon Brown and Kamar Aiken shortly behind them then you have Jeremy Butler, rookies Darren Waller and Carter, and then there's Michael Campanaro. Camp can't seem to get his thighs right for anything, maybe its nutrition, maybe its the fact he didnt rehab right the first go around, or maybe he didnt stay in shape going into OTA's. But Carter and Camp will both end up finding there spot first in returns, and if Carter can stay on the field, i expect camp to lose his roster spot if it comes down to it. I dont see any of these receivers not making it for an unhealthy Camp so far.
  6. if camp keeps having thigh issues, i would much rather take a Carter in the slot, especially being praised by S.Smith, i just think carter will make more of a staple in our offense moving forward if he makes the team then camp will. not trying to say camp isnt good, but this is now second year with thigh injuries.
  7. you know that and i know that but they think they came up with it
  8. They instantly "know all there is to know about football" they claim to be fans there whole lives. The league doesnt give them there credit. Refs are always against them anytime a call doesnt go there way If your not a "12th Man" you dont know football Oh yea the Aggies stole the 12th man from them wasnt the otherway around Russell Wilson is the "best QB" in the league, he can go toe to toe with any QB and win... Didnt you know russell wilson won them all there games. not there defense. They never lose, theyre perfect. Thats just the jist of what i deal with day to day with family and such.
  9. born and raised in washington state, followed ed reed through out college, when he was drafted as a raven i just began to become a ravens fan. Plus i cant stand the seattle fan base
  10. @rmcjacket23, what he is saying, is it starts with center. Each play & each block starts with the Center, the center sets up the Oline in best position possible to win. So his argument is as center, his Running backs florish, as center, he has help kept his qbs upright, how many times was out line blown up at the line of scrimmage last year? look at the production in tampa with zuttah at center, look at the numbers compared to gino as center all year. you cant argue production.
  11. @riseNconquer81 agreed the only thing that will stay the same is that zone blocking scheme i think, because Kubiak is known for that
  12. Its Technique, its preparation, its IQ of the Center Position, and its the System and couches that will make or break a center. and lets face it between IQ and the System we have, GINO just doesnt seem to fit it, atleast yet, his play showed it, and is part of our Oline suffering. Obviously you cant put all the blame on him, but he just doesnt seem confortable yet at Center in the NFL. Running Backs behind zuttah have excelled, now i get its not depended on one player. But when you have a center that can set up the Oline in the best possible position to excell, and he kept his QB upright, i think before even training camp starts. They plan to make him a long term fix on our Oline somewhere, and im willing to bet its at center. And if he plays to his potential this year, dont be surprised if we lock him in long term, to sure up out OLINE.
  13. We dont know much of any system as we have another NEW OC this year, what we get out of Zuttah is a guy who knows how to play center, and call things out to the rest of the linemen, which is a complete 180 degrees from what gino gave us last year. i think our offensive line will probably start out going into preseason with Monroe/Shipley/Zuttah/Yanda/KO and i wouldnt be surprised by season if its Monroe/KO/Zutta/Yanda/Wagner. IMO Shipley and Gino are more depth then starters.
  14. @Ravens07 Pryor = Strong Safety | Clinton-Dix = Free Safety Ravens = Needs Free Safety
  15. @TyGuzzo21 your wrong Rod Woodson was a steeler and accepted in baltimore as a raven
  16. @allblackraven cbssports.com/ has him in round 2 nfldraftscout.com also has him in the 2nd round but it goes back to the fact he is a strong safety that plays down hill, we need a FS to play center field opposite of Elam, not another Elam back there.
  17. @allblackraven WE DONT NEED A STRONG SAFETY WE HAVE ONE. Tired of people thinking they are the same position they are not. And only a select few can play both FS and SS and be productive. We are looking for a STARTER... NOT a player to come in and sit and learn. if we dont get a STARTING FS in the FA, just know If Ha Ha falls to us, we will draft him at 17th overall. Just like we got Elam last year with our first pick. They want a PLAYMAKER, not a sit and learn/special teams safety. We have enough of those on our damn team QUOTED FROM NFL.COM ABOUT JIMMIE WARD. DRAFT PROJECTION Rounds 6-7 BOTTOM LINE Wiry, active, aggressive strong safety at his best playing downhill and reacting to plays in front him. Lacks starter-caliber size, instincts, range and cover skills, but could serve as a backup and special-teams contributor.
  18. @Jamere23 obviously none of our FO believes our current safeties have what it takes, obviously he did not make plays or they would have started him opposite of Matt Elam, So an obvious observation is our FS is currently not on the roster, we will find one in FA or draft HA HA in the draft. that is what we are looking at. Our current FS's are only there for depth thats it, no true starter amongst the ground
  19. Sign DeCoud short Term, Then draft HA HA for the long term. Why or How we havent reached out to DeCoud, but are considering the fossils of FS is beyond me
  20. i like the addition of clark. strickly on the grounds of his mouth in piticular, we signed one of the biggest mouths on the field in steve smith. Why not get a vet in willing to push the defense that much more, we need someone willing to light a fire under players A$$'s in the late part of games, keep them pumped and keep them going. so why not?
  21. just remember everyone thought we were going to replace pieces last year that we lost with our first pick, and we ended up going SS a spot we really didnt need 100% at the time because Ihedgbo became a solid SS for us. SO againt FS first round, watch out
  22. again im calling it now, HA HA Clinton Dix first round pick, by Ravens. lets chat after the draft this year when im right
  23. @Reed20Fence Pryor from Louville is a Strong Safety, drew lots of comparisons to Bob Sanders and how he played. When we draft our FS in the first round, look to Ha'Sean Clinton Dix to be called.
  24. ill restate this We drafted a STRONG SAFETY, i wont be surprised and neither should anyone else if we Draft a FREE SAFETY in the first round only FS expected to go in round one is HA HA We would be dumb to draft a late round safety, thats where our current safeties came from and obviously we dont have enough faith in them for any of them to start. so again first round - FREE SAFETY
  25. We drafted a STRONG SAFETY, i wont be surprised and neither should anyone else if we Draft a FREE SAFETY in the first round
