  1. To be honest, as much as it sucks to watch, I think this franchise needed a season like this. The youth on the team needed to be held to the fire in order to realistically understand what we have going forward. Hate to use the example, but look at the Steelers a couple years ago when they were down. They were holding on to their old identity of a tough defense, when in reality they had a bunch of aged veterans who couldn't do the job. They reevaluated their team which turned out to be one of the most explosive offenses in the league. We needed this season to figure out who we are as a team. That will help us to figure out what direction to go moving forward...just don't do t in those yellow pants....ever....again.
  2. I support it. We had to do SOMETHING.
  3. I like the idea of what Timmy Jernigan can mean to the defense. His attitude reminds me of a younger Terrell Suggs. The difference, however, is that Suggs was raised in a defense where you had to play with toughness AND discipline. Unfortunately in today's NFL, you're never going to win an argument justifying a questionable hit on a quarterback.
  4. I like Campanaro and the potential he brings, but he's got to be on an extremely short leash next season. He's too injury prone.
  5. I actually like the huge Maryland shield in the center of the field. Not only is is unique, but it shows off one of the better looking flags in the nation. It reminds the Redskins that you can build your stadium in Landover, but Baltimore will always be Maryland's team. Plus it's like 30 yards wide, much better than fields with tiny logos, or NFL shields.

  7. I was going to make a post similar to this, but this one sums it up pretty well. Nicely done.
  8. Why am I still on the Practice Squad? How does that work?

It's just a post count thing. Doesn't really mean anything.

  9. Bro, its not like there's just a pool of pro bowlers just waiting around to be signed. The bottom of the barrel is really all that's left. At this point, Ozzie is just trying to put healthy bodies on the field.
  10. Jeffrey has been having an injury ridden season this year, so paying the millions it will cost to get him puts us in the same position next year....complaining about injured wide receivers. Drafting players is a crap shoot. Yeah it sucks that Perriman didn't make it on the field this year, but that doesn't mean he's a bust. Look no further than our own Manny Machado. He dealt with knee injuries for 2 years in a row, but after playing 162 last season, NO ONE is calling him a bust.
  11. Maybe that bigger role is starting at cornerback?
  12. Waiting for the article that says "Expect a smaller role for Marlon Brown"...
  13. I don't think Jacoby was really considered a leader, more of a fan favorite. He was good for a dynamic play or two, and was easy to root of on Dancing with the Stars, but that wasn't enough to justify his roster spot and cap number last year. Signing him would put us in the same predicament.
  14. Will Smith? So he can get jiggy with the summertime in Miami? Nah, we moved with his auntie and uncle in Belair.
  15. Gotta be pretty sweet to make your Ravens debut in Baltimore...in the black jersey! He's gonna be extra EXTRA pumped up!
  16. Smith beat Sherman his own way..... https://youtu.be/311ktptGRfg
  17. Purple pants?
  18. The pants don't factor into the uniform designation. Teams can decide on game day which color pants to wear. The "alternate" term only refers to the jersey color, which needs to be announced to the league in advance.
  19. Preach...
  20. Honestly, when have we EVER had a strong receiving corps? The Torrey and Anquan combo combo was pretty good, but our offense was still based around the run game. The injuries hurt, but its not as if we just lost early 2000's Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne. Our offense rolls when we have a solid run game, and good clutch possession receiving. I think our young TE's are capable.
  21. We have 3 talented tight ends that should get a lot more opportunity going forward.
  22. Great Win. Don't know if anyone else noticed, but Lardarius Webb even looked like his old self for the first time in a while last night. Za'Darius Smith stepped right into the "harass Steeler quarterbacks" role. Like I said yesterday, this team is at its best when it wins ugly. That's just how it is. ..oh and I'd like to welcome back all of the fair-weather fans who left the team for dead after the 0-3 start. Don't worry....I'll wait...
  23. Man I really hope that when we do turn this thing around, the fair-weather fans on this site hold themselves accountable for all the hate. When has this team EVER been darlings of the NFL who effortlessly run through the league? Once, we went 13-3 and lost in the first round to the Colts. This team is always had to push through adversity and is usually at its best when it does. I'm not even trying to be positivity boy, but are we really quitting on the team after 3 weeks? My prediction: The defense finds its identity tonight. Go Ravens.
  24. This season has the makings of a great episode of America's Game: The 2015 Baltimore Ravens...
