  1. he wont play for them - hell probably be cut pretty soon - they literally just paid to get a 2nd round pick which is kind of clever... But at what price? the $16 million owed to Osweiler? Would they still be on the hook for his salary? If so, they merely inherited Houston's Horses rearery.
  2. Emotional connection aside, we're much better off with Wallace than Torrey Smith for one prime reason: Wallace used to be a burner who left his original team for a big payday, which didn't pan out. Then ended up with another team who couldn't use him properly, only to make him available to the Ravens with no baggage and a lot to prove. Torrey is on a similar track now, and don't be surprised if the Eagles are to him as the Vikings were to Wallace. If Torrey was so concerned about his connection with Joe, and the community, he would have stayed. he made is his choice. ...in other news, I'm calling it now. Regardless of what we do in free agency and the draft, the best offensive weapon this year will be Breshad Perriman. Watch...
  3. Bio...RIGHT??? There's another year in the books that we don't have to worry about Cleveland getting into the mix. I like Hugh Jackson, but sometimes he leaves me scratching my head. RGIII? Osweiler? C'mon man.
  4. Glad to see "Baltimore" back on the field. I liked the shield though. Always like to see that Maryland flag incorporated. Its not bad though, its clean. I just hope it doesn't look chewed up come winter, like Pittsburgh.
  5. Good call because that hairline....you know what...nevermind. Mama always said if you don't have anything nice to say...
  6. Very well put. Let's hope more people are willing to echo these sentiments.
  7. Ben Roethlisberger begs to differ.
  8. Upshaw is in that revolving door position for the Ravens where the player develops at that "edge setter" position, then hits free agency. Another team always overpays them to be the next great pass rusher, but they never really justify the money spent. Upshaw has a choice to make just like Pernell McPhee before him...and Arthur Jones...and Paul Kruger...and Jarrett Johnson...should I keep going?
  9. Ray Rice, Willis McGahee, Ricky Williams was pretty good too...
  10. GOT EEEEEEEMMM!!
  11. Everyone seems to think they can do a better job at running this team than the people who do it. If we fired everyone on knee-jerk reactions we'd look like...oh I don't know...the Browns?? They hire/fire people as much as we WANT out team to. There is a reason why most of our head coaches get cherry picked to become head coaches or coordinators with other teams. Despite what some think, they're pretty good.
  12. If nothing else, we need this man's passion on the team.
  13. To your point, the Ravens never really "bring in elite players." With the exception of Dumervil and Smith, Sr. (who were both mistakes from their previous teams that we took advantage of), all of the Ravens' prime talent has been through the draft and development. The only free agent moves we really make are those under-the-radar types that supplement what we already have. Don't expect the Ravens to buy a good team even IF we have the money to.
  14. Obviously Joe has to be careful with what he says, but it seems like he's willing to consider restructuring the deal for the sake of the team. That says a lot about his character and will likely go unmentioned when all of the TV "analysts" debate whether he's elite or not.
  15. I wonder what was wrong with Nick Perry. He was brought up in the same defense as C.J. Mosley at Alabama. I guess I hoped that he and Mosley would be our new version of Lewis/Reed from Miami. Maybe they still will be...
