Well, we were fooled and fell for gimmicks once again. I truly wanted to see our team compete with great focus. Give us a chance to win. We have a few games left to correct these self-inflicted losses. I just hope we stop killing our drives and get off to fast starts on offense. All the players know this, we just need to make it happen.
Actually,
the key to beating them is to beat them the same way we have in the past.
For all you new Ravens fans, our prior wins against these Pats consisted of our Defense bullying them on every level.
(Remember Pollard's knockout blow in our 2012 playoff game?)
Most teams like to watch the Pats operate. Not us, consider Sizzles mindset when he plays Brady (Not afraid, impressed and pissed off).
They will complete a good deal of short passes, just make them pay every time they catch the ball. Knock Brady down as many times as we can, watch him turn into a diva, he always does. Once that happens, its a wrap.
Bottom line, this game is all about the front 7. Feed off of Sizz and ride the victory. Pats are soft and rely on lots of scheme. Let's remind them how soft they really are. Oh, and by the way, Shareece should only be assigned to zone duty in the flats, outside the red zone.
Why Dallas won. My take:
-By us playing wayyyy to soft before halftime- thus, giving Dallas the tying field goal gave them momentum. That was sick to watch.
-I am not sure what happened to our intensity. All the pressure we were applying to Prescott appeared to have left after halftime. Why?
-Penalties again were crippling. If we are playing the best- you have to play near flawless to come away the victor.
*side note: a VERY commendable job to our QB considering the loss. I have been a major critic. I will give credit where due.
-Lets get Cinncy next week! They won because they picked on our weakest corner sharrece wright. I wouldve loved to see how we wouldve played had we been at full strength with jimmy smith out there, all well
We usually make good 2nd half adjustments. But Pees called some mind boggling coverages to end the 1st half and continued to do so for the rest of the game. We took away the long ball but, gave up so much yac on cushion. It was like watching the patriots offense march on us. and, the mistakes cant happen if we want to win, too many.
Shareece wright strikes again. He gets put in and he looses us the game. All he does is give up TDs and big catches. I dont know why he still gets playing time. Our coaching staff is embarressing hes given up the most TDs in the secondary and he still plays ha
Ah yes, someone else shares my pain. Continually looking lost, blowing coverages and losing critical match-ups. Hate to say it, but Webb was doing the same thing as he got older. That's why he is playing safety.
Why Shareece? Why, why, why? He does not play, we win, he plays, we lose. Always giving up big plays and......Touchdowns. I said it before the game started and it played out as expected. I hate to take food off of a mans table, but, why is he playing? Ok, Jimmy is hurt, but, c'mon man. Next year we need to finally fork out the money on a good CB. Yikes. Season is still cloudy, but, we are in the driver seat still.
Well, this is the Raven way. We make games harder than they need to be. The only exception, when Ed and Ray were here, we found ways to finish strong. At some point we need to correct these 4th quarter failures and star walking away with W's. Having said that, we are only 1 game back, yes we've made it hard for ourselves, but, we have to seize the opportunity. Time for the young guys to step up. Oh, btw, Sharice Wright is getting beat every week for TD's. Man, he needs to go.
Happy to hear, make the most of the opp and all the best to family.
I agree, "Numbers Don’t Accurately Paint Joe Flacco’s Day"
Watch the game recaps and analysts, they will focus on the Int's and QBR. I guess every QB goes through it, but, even last weeks numbers were not accurate. When Joe sees drops from his receivers, throws the ball at his Rb's feet to avoid sacks, they impact him in a negative way. I must say, watching him play this year, much less mistakes. Can't wait to play at home next week and see the offense take the next step. Hey, we are 2-0 on the road!
Cant wait to see these guys at it again.
1. I hope Sizzle shows up at fighting weight this year.
2. People and analysts will use the age issue, forgetting that these guys have technique and really good football awareness. It's a trench fight, not a 100m sprint.
3. These are 2 real men, or, alpha males as Doom puts it.
They will dominate the player across the LOS.
God can this kid catch a break
I hope God heals you so you can shine your light for Him.
Well, it's been a season of humble pie eating. Glad to see fans riding out the season without jumping ship. Let's go Ravens, finish strong and get ready for next year. No more injuries please.....
Wow, well, let's make this west coast trip a better one. Our backs are against the wall, time to prove we are fighters, no giving up.
Well, 4 losses doe snot equal a lost season. 1 win does not guarantee a playoff season. As a devoted fan who drove in a storm to watch my team play, I will stick to my team until the superbowl game clock hits 000. This season is ugly so far, but, I expect us to finish with dignity.
Go Ravens!!
Well, the stage is set, WR's are now forced to step up. Marlon Brown stepped up the last time we were in this position. SSS, please get well soon. At least the running game seemed to have found a groove. That will be our best friend going forward.
Pees, Decides to play Webb on the inside when he is way too stiff to play the slot, Arrington on the outside where he has struggled his entire career, Jimmy 8 Yards off instead of press, Jimmy can play with the best of WR when he is playing press .. Melvin i feel is very capable but, was rusty and hopefully Will Davis can help. Also, two weeks with not pass rush yet for no reason at all Babin in inactive. It doesn't take two weeks to learn how to rush the passer.
Ah yes, I was wondering why Jimmy was not locked on AJ for the entire game. That made no sense to me. I would rather AJ go off with our best coverage than to explode through swiss cheese. Jimmy was our missing piece last year and we treated him like a dime back in this game. tsk tsk tsk.
Well, coulda, woulda, shoulda....tackled. I have seen so many games lost due to missed tackles.
We had them right where we needed them. Jimmy missed a tackle on AJ's long TD, Mosley got shook by Dalton on the TD scramble. Oh, and the penalties, ouch. Well, we need to go 10-3 down the stretch.
In other news, Ben's injury is a gift to us. Finally, looks like we will be using more 2 TE sets, scratch the 3-1-1.
Lets get it!!
Well, we lost to a superbowl contender on the road. Then we lost the 1 bad game we are allowed to have for the season. Still 14 to go, we will be fine, the stage is set for us to grow from early adversity. We will hurt the bengals at home.
Go Ravens!!
2 guys I would surely put on my all time 11 defenders on the field.
What say you?
DP, your health is more important than making this team better. I pray that you recover soon and enjoy the game you love.
Relaxxx, drops are simple to correct. Why? Passes thrown his way will be more accurate,
he will have much better coaching in the NFL than he did in college and he gets to learn from SSS. Watch out Squealers, Browns and Bengirls.
Wow, we finally went for it, 1st round.
Well, I am looking forward to how the competition shapes up amongst our receivers. This is a win-win. Brown, Aiken and Camp are hitting the weights and treadmill right now. Position battle, here we come.
