One of the best surprises for me from 2015 was Turbo Kid. It's streaming now for those who enjoyed 80s cult cinema.
I think the biggest thing Taylor does for us is he helps us offset the Lewis signing so we can get a compensatory pick for Darian Stewart, who had the salary, playing time, and postseason success to get us a pretty good compensatory pick.
That's a good angle to look at it.
Don't see the comp pick thread, so I'll just state this here. Tyrod in the Pro Bowl...can we steal another comp? Fingers crossed.
The new Batman vs Superman trailer is awful. They'd do well not to release anything else until it comes out. Starting to wonder if it will even be worth a view at all.
can i ask compared to who did he look good in that system.
Â
he was alright but compared to what brady did he looked pretty avg lol.
Â
compare brady stats in 2007 to those of cassel in 2008 and tell me he still looked pretty darn good.
Â
same players , same system -> worlds apart in production.
Â
cassel might have looked good compared to most QBs in the NFL but compared to brady it was avg at best.
Â
Compared to himself out of that system. That's the whole point. Cassel was much, much better in that system than in other systems, especially considering he was getting full-time first-team reps with other teams for entire offseasons in the other systems. FreeBrady is leagues better than Cassel, but he, too, would be worse out of that system (not Cassel-bad, but not as great as he is with the Pats). He is helped by that system, no doubt. It is the absolute perfect system for him, and he is probably the absolute perfect quarterback for that system. The both need each other, which is why FreeBrady is the only guy constantly being extended through this whole run of Pats dominance. Not since Montana with Walsh has there been a better marriage of system and QB than Bill and FreeBrady. I'm not saying FreeBrady wouldn't be great outside that system, but I highly doubt he would be one of the all-time best with another team. If Bledsoe never got hurt, or they didn't win that Superbowl (thanks to the Tuck Game), there might be a different story completely for the guy. Imagine if he was the one that got let go instead of Bledsoe and he ended up with the Bills (then) or Cowboys (then) or...gulp...Browns. Yikes!
He'll get a nice dismantling come this superbowl, the broncos I think should be the biggest SB underdogs since god knows when.
Since the Giants vs the 18-0s...?
Allowed to admit the Panthers really are good, yet?
So. Mad max is worth watching? seemed too... Idk. How to put it... Blow everything up type movie
If this matters, it was the best reviewed movie of the year, and won like a dozen critics choice awards. Not bad for a genre film.
Northern Delaware here, and we got (are getting) pummeled. Just shoveled the sidewalk and my arms and back are burning. The driveway will have to wait. Stay safe.
Rewatched Mad Max: Fury Road. Oh what a movie
So glad it got award season love so it didn't get lost and forgotten in the shuffle below a certain other reboot of a famous futuristic franchise from the 70s.
Yeah I saw that. I don't follow the Sixers at all, but ever since Ish Smith has came, they look somewhat more respectable of a professional basketball team (destroyed my Blazers. Pees fault 1000%)
Yeah, I said that when it happened. Still a bad team (5-8), but MUCH better than it was (1-30).
I'm glad he said this. I hope he really presses his agent to get a good deal for BOTH sides, and quick.
Somehow, I feel like Flacco does want this but also trusts everyone else to handle it. Like he's just rehabbing and waiting for his phone to ring telling him it's done.
So. I'm on the kick Zach Snyder off bandwagon. The Suicide Squad Trailer looks awesome. Like Guardians of the Galaxy if it had no limits.
And tbh. Marvel's been kind of overrated.
They have some pretty bad movies in there
Thor the Dark World
Iron Man 2
Incredible Hulk
Iron Man 3 was pretty bad.
Ant Man was pretty mediocre.
The first Captain America was bad and boring.
Marvel's good movies in that universe are
Iron Man(good)
Avengers(Great)
Winter Soldier(Probably their best movie)
Guardians(only cause of the humor. It's what makes it work)
Avengers 2(Great)
And Civil War imo looks.. Mediocre.
What do all of those movies have in common? Simple. Dark Knight is easily better than all of them. And I understand the flaws with Man of Steel(Zach Snyder made Michael Shannon, an Oscar nominee who usually puts out good performances, look like a bad actor in this movie). And as bad as Batman v. Superman looks, especially the end, the rest of the trailer admittedly was damn good. Ben Affleck has me sold and I want him to take over.
And if you're asking. How I rank my favorite super hero movies
- The Dark Knight
- Captain America Winter Soldier
- Avengers
- Avengers: Age of Ultron
- Batman Begins
- X-Men First Class
- X-Men Days of Future Past
- Dark Knight Rises
- Guardians of the Galaxy
- Man of Steel
- Iron Man
- The Amazing Spiderman
- Spiderman 2
- Batman 1988
- X-Men(the first one)
I have fairly low expectations for Suicide Squad, lower and lower with each new trailer/clip, but I'm hoping that'll be a good thing and I'll be pleasantly surprised.
I'm with you for the top two on your list, but we have some differing opinions after that. I've actually been doing a lot of thinking about this lately. I'll just add my list (worst to first) of Batman movies:
8. Batman & Robin
7. The Dark Knight Rises
These two are pretty bad movies. DKR gets worse and worse for me with each viewing.
6. Batman Forever
5. Batman Begins
4. Batman: The Movie (1966)
All of these are good movies that I enjoy watching over and over.
3. Batman Returns
2. Batman
These Tim Burton movies were a major part of my childhood. The sequel, unlike DKR, gets better every time I see it. Great movies.
1. The Dark Knight
Amazing.
Frankly, I'd be happy if the Dawn of Justice movie finds itself in the "good" category. However, since there hasn't been a "good" Superman movie since Superman 2 (before I was born), I'm not holding my breath.
First conference win of the year! Sorry, Inqui.
So i watched a couple movies over the weekend.
Creed- Better than i thought it would be, as Beanfinger said it would be. But i found it pretty unrealistic and i was extremely frustated watching that character, he was an idiot imo
i think it was too unrealistic, a guy who has no pro fights gets a shot at a top ten contender, wins, then gets a shot at the belt. just didnt sit well with me
Interesting that this part bothered you. Did you happen to catch the original Rocky? (Or many of the better sequels?) That's the whole premise of that franchise.
Sixers win, Warriors lose, Hail Mary, no-flip coin toss...
So every postseason game in his career has been an all-timer for Fitzgerald, right? Sick.
Whoa, a blowout. Blazer fans, what happened there?
Chiefs are dumb.
Apocalypto is very good. Just have to know what you're getting into. No dialogue, correct? I know they communicate but there were no subtitles that I remember. Just amazing Mayan culture.
There were subtitles every time I watched it.
It deals with natives to an area, and that's about it in terms of similarities. Apocalypto is one of the best adventure films of the century. Green Inferno isn't even on the long list of best horror films of the year.Is that the good version of the Green Inferno?
Maybe the film you're thinking of is Canibal Holocaust from the 80s. Similar idea as GI, best done well.
yea I didn't enjoy the howling sound either. I want to find more movies like this
If you haven't seen Apocalypto, yet, I'd be willing to guarantee you'd enjoy it.
Aaaaaand with that endoresment I just red boxed it......
It holds no punches.
2015's Bone Tomahawk is excellent. Great for genre fans and people looking for solid westerns.

Ghostbusters, The Princess Bride, Scott Pilgrim vs the World, Black Dynamite, Superbad. The more I think about it, the more the list would change, I'm sure, but those five all hold a high place for me. Ghostbusters is definitely number one. The rest is whatever order you like.
