  1. Deep threats are great if we have time. Starting to actually change my mind and root for a LT in the first. A running game similar to 2014 would help, as well, to use play action and cheat DBs up. I like everything we're trying to do this offseason. I'm excited to see it work out.
  2. What's the difference between $60M in new money for a three year extension and $40M in new money for a two-year extension?
  3. Pretty sure he's saying the same thing. He's saying the media is wrong for portraying it the way they do.
  4. Going solo to the zoo with a 2 1/2-yr-old and and infant is not as fun as it sounds.
  5. Flacco has exactly twice as many PLAYOFF wins as Brock has total wins as a starter. His contract is a big gamble, but the Texans needed to do it. They have a solid team, but no QB. We needed to do the Flacco deal, too, and it's now obvious we did NOT overpay.
  6. Logic, and no belittling of board members or Ravens employees. A well thought out response... I think you might be on the wrong thread, but this is a good post. I think this extension works for all involved. Glad it got done quickly.
  7. A street fight, meaning no rules? Meaning they can pick stuff up and use them? Lee would destroy him with something in his hand. Non-street fight in the ring with nothing? Lee would have to avoid Tyson's punch, which I think he would do fairly well, but Tyson would win if/when he started landing. PS "Lee was just an actor"?!?!?! Gimme a break.
  8. Well, if nothing good happens between now and then with him, it appears he would be cut before anything else, saving us like $20M against the cap. However, if he does well and we contend year after year again like most rational people believe, that type of hit won't hurt so bad, meaning it would be worth it. Perhaps another extension to reach the likely end of his career could even be reached before that season in that case, even.
  9. Need one of those Staple's "That Was Easy" buttons.
  10. Playoffs and MVP clinched before March. Well done.
  11. Still believe this plays out as stated above. Beginning to feel everything working in that direction.
  12. The Spirit Awards are more my thing and definitely more entertaining, but I will be watching both this weekend.
  13. Brazil is planning to zap mosquitos with gamma rays to fight off the Zika virus. I'm sure nothing could possibly go wrong. (Hulksquitos?)
  14. Yes.
  15. I'm not concerned with the comparisons to the graphic novels. I just think it plays into the tired old adage in tv dramas that any main characters who are popular must end up that way together. People complained about the backstory or "filler" episodes drawing things out and causing them to get bored. For me, this type of thing is far more "boring" and more likely to cause me to lose interest.
  16. Maybe I'm the only one annoyed with the end of that episode of TWD. A little too convenient, and much too much just like every other show. They set it up from the start of the episode, and I kept hoping it wasn't true. This might actually be the only drama I've started with at the beginning and stuck with this long, and this is the kind of thing that can really turn me off to continuing. Hopefully this new guy makes things interesting.
  17. Great episode tonight.
  18. Thanks for the info. Hadn't heard of some of these. To clarify, The Exorcist is being made into a one-hour pilot for a possible series (on Fox, I think). Also, the Bill and Ted thing is more like a sequel with the same actors in the same roles. What's worse than remaking a Hitchcock classic like The Birds? "Produced by Michael Bay." Ugh...
  19. Ha! Well, if he was looking for cowboys vs savages like back in the day, he gets it.
  20. G-parents on social media... Amiright?!?
  21. Check out last year's Bone Tomahawk.
  22. One of the perks of actually getting a sitter and making it back to the theater last week a couple times was catching up on some trailers. Triple 9 does look pretty good, though I'm worried the trailer gave a ton away (perhaps a ruse, but still not great for the trailer). One trailer that looked absolutely dreadful was Gods of Egypt. That'll surely be surprising to me if that ends up being remotely watchable.
  23. Finally took the plunge into binging. It was out of necessity while trapped at my in-laws all week without a vehicle while my children were being paraded and shown off all around town to people I don't know. Daredevil and Jessica Jones first respective seasons done. I'm starting to feel the rush so many have for years when it comes to this activity. It'll probably be a turning point in my entertainment experiences going forward.
  24. Finally got a chance to go out to a couple movies for the first time in a while. First one I saw was The Revenant. Greatly impressed with the filmmaking and performances. One of my favorites from 2015. I then finally saw Star Wars, and I have to say that the force isn't quite awake for me, yet. The movie was completely dependent on nostalgia and pre-instilled fandom. I don't have much invested in that franchise, so this was just an average adventure flick for me. I have to ask the person who stated Rey was the greatest female warrior in cinematic history, was that just a prediction as to what might happen in future movies? If not, I have to say she would not crack my top ten in that category as of now.
  25. I really doubt you'll be disappointed. I thought it was a ton of fun to watch.
