  1. Someone trying to trade ahead of us for fear of missing on one of the two top tier guys. Tackles are a lot like QBs in that way, it seems. Not saying it's likely, but I think about the same odds as two QBs going before us.
  2. I refuse to buy in, yet. Keeping the expectations low in the hope that I will be pleasantly surprised by Suicide Squad. Related: I love Will Smith, but does anyone else wish it wasn't Will Smith in the movie? B-D-list cast grouping might work better for me. But I do love Smith, so hopefully he'll kill it for me.
  3. 49ers trade up to 1. Eagles trade up to 3. QBs go like hot cakes in the top 5. One of Tunsil/Ramsey falls to us. (Less a bold "prediction" than a hope that if I write something crazy like that down it just might have a chance to happen.)
  4. Stanley might be one I would add.
  5. If we move down two spots (Philly), it's because they are moving ahead to take a QB before SF, so at worst we are left with one of these two players we like that would both help us. It's possible neither get taken. And the "decision" is to get a great player AND more picks.
  6. Round 1 The Titans hire now former 76ers GM Sam Hinkie as a consultant, and he convinces them to trade us this year's number one for Monroe and next year's first (because expiring contracts and future picks are always more valuable than talent right now). We take Tunsil. Then, the league feels bad for the way the Jags game ended last year, so they let our picks amoeba into two picks (making the first round 32 picks again). They also let us "dirty santa" both picks, and we "steal" Ramsey and Jack from the teams ahead of us. Round 2 Spence
  7. Try to trade back a spot or two, get more picks, have some other team make that decision, and "settle" for the player they don't choose?
  8. Batman v Superman was a hot mess. The Lego Batman is gonna be more entertaining. 2 1/2 hours of Walking Dead style filler to set up more films ending with obviously wasted time at the end dragging that whole impossibility scenario out like we believe it only to cut away quickly like we don't already know what happens next. The only good part was Batman's fight in the warehouse to save Martha.
  9. If you looked at the three non-Midwest regions of my good bracket, you'd of thought I was in the 99%. One game wrong in each of the South and West and three games wrong (all ND) in the East. Three out of final four. Championship matchup correct (though I did pick UNC to win it). Midwest, though, only five total games correct, and zero after the first round.
  10. I used to be dead-set against Elliot in the first. I've sort of come around to the idea of taking him after a trade-down (preferably to 10 or later). Throw Gurley's name out all you want, he went 10 and is one possible (possible!) exception to the recent trend of waiting on a running back. There are three RBs taken in the top six in the last ten drafts. They are Reggie Bush, Darren McFadden, and Trent Richardson. The lack of impact this trio had for the franchises that drafted them is not on the level anyone should desire from a pick that high.
  11. Did two brackets. One ended up in the 89%, and the other in the 2.9%. Haha Good thing I went into the pool with the first one.
  12. Sixers win, Warriors lose, yada yada yada...
  13. There's a whole other thread devoted to this. I think it would be awesome, but very unlikely.
  14. I think the Browns will try to trade back and take a QB. If that doesn't work, I could definitely see them breaking hearts and taking Ramsey.
  15. Very likely it's Abraham, Eugene, or Michonne. Somewhat likely it's Glenn or Sasha. Doubtful it's Daryl because of the previous episode or Maggie because of her current situation that would completely (almost conveniently) eliminate the urgency and conflict that comes with it. Jealous Rosita is also unlikely because they are building something there, too. If it's Aaron, that's kind of weak, but maybe that's why it'll take six months to find out? Rick and Carl are safe.
  16. Didn't they end up with a worse record this year than before they got him? Let me know how many more top-10 (before the Eagles trade) picks it will take them to get back into contention after Gurley.
  17. We just signed the last RB taken that high in the draft, right? Don't need to be greedy. 2nd round (preferably late after a trade) at the earliest for a RB in today's game.
  18. Backs can't do it alone. Find me the last rushing champ to win a Super Bowl. Lynch is the only one in about a decade to win a ring after finishing in the top ten in rushing. Last year, only one of the seven backs to rush for 1000 even went to the playoffs. I think Elliot could very well do all the things you said, and it still wouldn't change my opinion on why we shouldn't draft him. It's not his fault; it's the way the game is now.
  19. I think Elliot will be a fantastic RB. Having said that, I'll be upset if we take him at 6. I believe the days of that position being worth a pick that high are over.
  20. Bullocks. Guess we picked the right year to stop racking them up.
  21. Ramsey is by far number one on my wish list. I don't think there's any chance, especially after he killed it at the combine and pro day. I think take one of the other four if they fall to us. If not, try to trade back. If a good deal can't be had with that, I wouldn't be overly upset with VHIII. Prefer him to Stanley.
  22. Comp picks are now tradeable, right? New rule this year? That means we have even more ammunition.
  23. When first looking at possible picks at six, I was blown away by the possibilities and told myself there was no way I could be disappointed. The more I thought about it, the more I realized there are really only five players I would be really happy with at six. Obviously, that means there is a nightmare (for me) scenario out there in which all five get taken off the board before us. This fear was driven home when I saw it happen in a mock on NFL.com. Basically, we need someone to take a QB or a big reach (c'mon, Celevland) before us. If we end up with Tunsil, Ramsey, Jack, Bosa, or Buckner, I'm happy with day one. If they all go, I'd like to trade back.
  24. Morgan called Carol out in a way that made her think differently. She was becoming a machine, but she witnessed one of the wolves save on of theirs instead of escaping. It just made her think, which lead to the list, and she was shocked when that number was staring up at her from the page. Shock can maybe have a way of jarring someone back to their roots. I'm not saying I like the change, just trying to find a reason in there somewhere. Side note: I'm not really on the side of hating Morgan, either. His transition is well thought out, and conflict is always, always, always a good thing for shows and movies, wherever you can find it.
  25. He ain't dead.
