  1. ESPN reporting 9 games for Aldon Smith. 49ers could be in more trouble this year than expected, especially with their schedule.
  2. I went to like 15-20 games/year when he was here. Watching him take the beating he always took and still stay on the court 40+ minutes and pour his heart out every single game was a group of memories I will always cherish.
  3. I was just hoping to inspire other GMs to stay up to date, which appears to have worked for a couple, because it will help my strategy to know which teams have what and might be looking for who.
  4. Cancelled out.
  5. Valid arguments, and I agree. I just can't stop thinking about the fact that you might have had the top two scorers in terms of total points in the history of the league. I also don't necessarily agree that Malone played poorly in the playoffs. The went deep a lot, and he played in three championships. However, Dirk can just reply "I couldn't hear you over the shine of my ring."
  6. For me that's hard to compare. They are really different players. As you said, Nowitzki spreads the floor better, which is great for today's game. Malone, however, is certainly more physical, but since you already have Barkley, you aren't lacking there. As I said before, I think both would work with your team, just in different ways. With Malone, you would probably have the most intimidating front court that could be imagined.
  7. I agree with this, but just imagine how bada-- it would have been up front with three bruisers like Kareem, Chuck and Karl. I think both choices work for his team.
  8. I wanted him all along, and I didn't think I would pull the trigger for another round, but SAM scared me by starting to pick all the other greats drafted in the late 90s.
  9. Kind of thinking the same. Who's the best point guard to match up with two top five ppg scoters? How about the all-time leader in assists.(But my team still rules the highlights. Haha)
  10. My favorite Philly athlete of all time. I'm fighting everyone's size with my speed. Also, historians of the game will certainly appreciate the value of the Havlicek pick just before me.
  11. Also, if you are wondering who my pick will be, I'll answer your questions momentarily.
  12. Deleted. I just thought that thread could use a bump because it was being buried and forgotten about. Every now and then it needs a new post to move back up to the top, and people editing their own posts won't move it back up.
  13. Also, is this the third night in a row we've landed on Birdest around 1030-1100pm? Weird coincidence. Guess I'll see you all in the morning.
  14. Point guards are the value picks so far.
  15. Matter of preference, I guess. Maybe he wanted a guy with a ring. Otherwise, he would have the best two PFs that never won a championship on the same team.
  16. There are so many ways I can see the next couple picks going. I have no idea who I should target. Will I go for one of my favorites, or who I think is best and would work well with my squad? I've gone with the latter the first two rounds...
  17. The big German. This round has a very contemporary feel to it.
  18. I'm honored. It's my first time in that position. So does that mean everything I say will warrant it? Let's test it out... I don't enjoy coconut. (Ducks for cover)
  19. It's pretty sad that I'm getting negged like crazy for taking a stand against domestic violence. Really says a lot about some of the people on here.
  20. So you're saying that you believe we should just ignore it when people commit domestic violence? You advocate no punishment at all? Not everybody can be caught, but those in the spotlight are caught and need to be punished or else everyone will see that nobody cares about their crime.
  21. Just give it up. It's useless trying to appeal to common sense and decency with this one. She said that you have to live with your decisions and deal with the consequences. Apparently, that shows more strength than attempting to right a wrong you have committed. The rest of the world understands that what he did was the right thing, so we should just be happy with that.
  22. Well then we are at an impasse. I, personally, do not believe that admitting a mistake shows weakness. We all make mistakes. Those that pretend they do not are the cause of a lot of problems in this world. I will not be raising my child to believe he should not own up when he has made a mistake, but you are welcome to your own line of reasoning. I believe that Goodell believes that he made a mistake, and I believe it is a good thing for a man to be able to admit when he was wrong. People are applauding him because he has announced harsher penalties for a despicable crime. It is not all about Ray Rice.
  23. He wasn't on my board for a while, but I do already have Dr. J, so I wasn't really looking for that position.
  24. Man, some guys just can't win. Everything else this guy has done has caused ire because he has no concern for what the public actually wants and cares about. The one time he actually does something according to what the public is calling for (and what he did is a good thing, no one can deny that), he now gets crushed for "pandering" or "placating" to others. Goodell gets it worse than Flacco.
  25. Wilmington, DE is giving all of these cities a run for their money in every nasty statistic you can name, per capita of course.
