  1. What does purple kool-aid have to do with Alexander at the moment? He's currently not on our team.
  2. I think those picks would be lucky to move us up ten spots. 70-60. Not to mention, a lot of the picks around the area we would look to move are owned by our friends in Boston and Pittsburgh.
  3. I think people are overrating our tradeable picks. We didn't avoid trading back into the first for someone because they weren't worth it, but rather because we didn't have enough to really trade up too far without decimating the rest of our draft. We may be able to trade up a bit from either our second or third round picks, but really not that far, unless we break out of our mold and give up some future picks. Trading down in the first would have been the way to collect ammunition for a trade up today, but no one called us to do so. I'm betting we stand pat tonight and just have to deal with who falls to us. I don't think that looks like a bad option right now, either.
  4. Several reporters this morning, all citing "reliable" Ravens sources, all reported Ramsey was the target. Jerry Jones appears to be the only one reporting we wanted Elliot.
  5. All reporters with Ravens sources are still stating this morning that Ramsey was the target and it wasn't going to be a trade up for Elliot. Jerry was just talking out of his wallet pocket.
  6. Jack WILL play again, and likely start this season. It's a matter of longevity for him. Smith HOPES to play again. He certainly will not play this upcoming season. Nerve damage is very unpredictable. His doctor optimistically stated that there's an 80% chance he someday returns to form. It's way more than a longevity issue; it's an issue of whether or not he'll ever see the field at all in the NFL.
  7. I want extra picks in the second round every year. Just gotta find a realistic way to acquire them. Titans did trade up, like many thought they would, but they only parted with a third this year and second next year. Not quite the haul everyone here was looking for.
  8. "Because Jack didn't get picked in the first round, it's safe to say he's not worth a second round pick." haha. By that logic no one still available is worth a pick next round. Guess we should just trade out.
  9. I'm just glad Tunsil went to Miami so he can disappear there like everyone else. He'll retire in a dozen years, and we won't even realize he had a good career until then when someone tells us. It'll be like, "Oh yeah, good for him."
  10. Four players left I would be REALLY happy with, four picks before ours. I can already see what's going to happen. This isn't to say there aren't plenty more players I would be fine with, though, because there is.
  11. Three of these dudes still available after Day 1. Wild to think these were guys we wanted at 15. Happens every year. Hopefully we get one, and then it's double bonus considering we still got our guy at number six beforehand.
  12. He spent a year at RT at ND, though, correct? It's not uncommon for rookie LT's to start there. However, I agree that we may see him at LG.
  13. Crazy stuff so far. Also, all the Titans gave up for a trade was a 3 and next year's 2. Not enough for us, I'm sure.
  14. Good one. Wouldn't read much into it anyway. He was being interviewed by Michael Irvin.
  15. I would be speechless, both in shock and overjoyed. I just don't know how they could love a player that much and give up their chance to choose him originally.
  16. I really hope all your guys' optimism works out for us. Praying that you all have a direct line to Titans management during decision-making process. If they give us two seconds, and we don't have to give up ours for it, I will be overjoyed. There is no one player that could be drafted by us and make me happier than a trade like that would.
  17. I meant it didn't seem like enough for us. I'd want more than one extra pick, but it isn't like we'd be dropping 15-20 spots, so we need to keep things in perspective. The chart is not bible, but if things are that far out of whack, I doubt we see it. The number one pick is worth nearly twice what our number six is on that chart, so of course it took crazy hauls to get there. Believe me, I hope I'm wrong, but I think dreaming of getting two extra seconds for a nine spot drop is crazy. 15 and 33 for 6 is realistic, but I would rather get a second and third, even if it means us giving back a third-day pick along with our number six. Two seconds, two thirds, and three fourths sounds too good to me to pass up, and I think that's best case scenario for us, even if the second we get is 43 instead of 33.
  18. Probably a different bottle.
  19. Eating from this awesome Japanese spot called Suki Hana in the mall near me. Also getting champagne just in case we get Ramsey.
  20. Zeke is wearing a purple suit tonight. Just sayin'...
  21. I've had this talk before with others, the dream of getting two seconds from them for a nine spot jump without giving our second up is pure fantasy in my mind. Of course, we should ask for that and see what happens. Just for frame of reference, the pick value chart, which isn't bible by any means but a good thing to look at for an idea, has our number 6 overall, our third, both tradeable fourths, and our tradeable sixth still worth slightly LESS than their 15, 43, 45 (forget about 33). It'd be an all-in move, which might turn out awesome with four picks in the top 45, but a move I'd highly doubt we'd make. If you want 33 and 43, along with 15, we'd have to give our first and second, and we could probably get their fifth. That isn't enough of a change for me to make that big a move.
  22. Even better, they give us 15, 43, and 76. We throw in a 4th. Then, we have #15, 2 2nds, 2 3rds, 3 4ths.
  23. I agree these trades are in our favor and look nice. I also agree that the first one looks best. The best part is that these are realistic.
  24. I agree that trade back still makes sense, but I strongly disagree with there being any chance of us getting those two seconds. Even giving up all the rest of our tradeable picks this year (3rd, two 4ths, 6th) after round two doesn't quite balance the scale on the value chart, and I doubt we do that. Another slight possibility would be for us to trade 6 & 36 for 15, 33, 43, and their pick at the top of round 5, but there is no way I see us ending up with three total second rounders for only one trade down nine slots. If they wanted Tunsil that badly, they would have just taken him at one.
  25. Could have a slim chance to even pick VHIII if we move back that far.
