  1. Maybe they'd have a better team if he didn't have the highest cap hit per year in the whole league. I don't know. I actually think they've found a nice team all around, just not the most durable or dependable, but if you want to find someone you can argue is overpaid, why not start at the top?
  2. You just took their bait by jumping in now and not when Virginia was going off.
  3. Also hard to keep pace with your fifth string, walk-on, true freshman QB.
  4. I respect the Packers, but I don't really care about them and whether they do well. I don't root for or against them, but I am glad Rodgers got a ring already because he deserves to not have that hanging over his head.
  5. Basically, they need to find a way to knock the ball down. Better position, taller guys, whatever. You had eight people standing there, and the QB threw the ball TO them, and they let someone else come down and catch it.
  6. I think any call made that ends a drive with under two minutes left or the game, or potentially ends a drive or a game in that situation, should be reviewed. Ridiculous that everyone in the world sees what really happens and helplessly has to watch when things are blatantly called in favor of the incorrect team. To this particular blown call Thursday night, who cares? Defend the Hail Mary and win anyway. No time to walk around with your heads down and lose focus. This wasn't a field goal attempt where you have limited ability to defend when things are done right. You were standing sixty yards downfield, and the QB threw the ball TO you. Knock it down.
  7. What's the best record for a team that hasn't held one lead all season? Only wins come on the last play.
  8. Funny that people complain about how much money our QB makes and then lists a bunch of first-round QBs that he claims won only because of their supporting casts. I'm sure we will save money by drafting a QB in the first round again, and then after he wins I suppose we're supposed to throw him away, too, just like with Joe. That's really the only way to do it, according to this theory. You must hit it out of the park every four-five seasons with a first round QB, groom them into champions, and then toss them away before you have to pay them. It's that easy. Obviously, stud QBs are available in every draft, so it's easy. Forget building up the rest of your team like he wants, too, because you're always just looking for your next QB.
  9. But their defense was still pretty dominant that game. It'll be whether their offense turns the corner after that big game against Pitt or whether that was a fluke that determines if we have a chance to get an ugly win there. We certainly won't be able to go for big points like Pitt did.
  10. The Browns fan who started walking away out of the stadium the second Hill picks up the ball and starts running is still the king.
  11. I was just curious. I wasn't looking for a debate. I don't try and convince elephants to lay eggs very often.
  12. ... Hardbaugh?
  13. Oh baby! I just woke my son up. Face-palm!
  14. Thanks for reiterating what I already stated.
  15. I knew immediately when Nelson went down that they would struggle moving the ball through the air. I had no idea they wouldn't be able to run the ball anymore, though. Man are they lucky James Jones landed back in their laps or they might be in deep trouble at this point in the season. Maybe up there amongst the most important free agent signings in the league this year.
  16. Or did people talk about how great his weapons were? He shows his greatness with an excellent TD:INT ratio as always, but he hasn't been outstanding anywhere else this year without multiple receivers that can make tremendous plays everywhere you look. Heck, even after last week and this half, he still has less passing yards than Flacco.
  17. So not even Aaron Rdogers can do much without receivers? It's been obvious all year. I thought that type of thing was just an "excuse" for "homers" around here.
  18. Schaub had one more completion and two more interceptions against Cleveland on the same amount of attempts as Joe.
  19. The Cheifs haven't lost in over a month. Five straight wins, and looking good doing it.
  20. All it took was losing all their veteran leaders to grow up. Go figure.
  21. So you're telling me it wasn't that Schaub gave the stink eye to the defenders before he threw it to make them run away from the receivers in fear? You're absolutely 100% sure he was not doing that? You know for a fact he wasn't sneaking subliminal messages into his cadence or that he hadn't given the receivers old bay cologne because he knew the Browns DBs were allergic to shellfish? These are the outrageuous claims you're making right now, am I right?Sheesh... It just cannot be that the receivers were getting open for him when they hadn't for Flacco. That's too simple and reasonable an explanation to be true. Don't you see that?
  22. I actually jokingly said to my wife that I could see that happen before the play. It didn't catch me too off guard because of the way the Browns completely botched the two plays prior. Honestly, I was absolutely certain they were going to at least miss the kick. The only way I saw them winning there was if we Ravens'd it up (and the jump across the line almost had me thinking we did just that, so lucky they didn't move there). When it actually happened, I was surprisingly reserved even though I did think it was awesome. Unfortunately, I was just waiting for it to be called back. I've gotten so negative anymore (accusingly points a finger at YOU reading this). Then, there was hysterical laughter when my buddy texted me that he lost by less than a point in fantasy and he had Justin Tucker. That made the night even better.
  23. I'd just like to see his offense working with all its pieces in place before I make a judgement. I haven't loved his play-calling, but I don't think the system is a lost cause just because it wasn't able to turn acid rain into Dom Perignon.
  24. All good points. I think Trestman is "adapting", as well. Someone still has to calls those dink and dunk plays.
  25. Yes, and I keep saying to you that it's a good question. (I also keep posting my opinion in response, but I won't this time because it's clearly being ignored. See: any of my several responses to you above when you ask that question.) Also, I said "quickly" not "quicker".
