  1. Though their numbers were dwarfed by the record millions made by Star Wars, there have been a few other movies that have done very well these past few weeks. Both Sisters and Daddy's Home did very well for comedies. The Alvin and the Chipmunks sequel has held on to do much better than anyone projected. And as far as projections, The Revenant just destroyed all the projections made prior to its wide release. Basically, this has been a really big few weeks for the whole box office, which kind of highlights the films that did poorly.
  2. Not quite enough, but Watson is a baller.
  3. I want him. I'd take the "risk".
  4. They're playing at a high level, just made some key moves to dump salary... Really, they are the only franchise here in Philly to be too optimistic about.
  5. Flyers will sneak in and beat Washington round one.
  6. He had time to see the ball was not caught, though. He wasn't trying to jar anything loose. He took steps after the ball went flying yards over Brown's head, and he went for a kill shot. Maybe he didn't know he would hit him flush in the head like that, but since he did there is no one to blame but Burfict for that. If the point of the rules is to protect players, then a play like that where a defenseless guy comes down without the ball and gets viciously knocked out cold HAS to be called. Burfict is trashy, and he cost them dearly.
  7. People still crying that we didn't get Burfict? Pure trash.
  8. Marry, kill, and...oh, wait... Tag Tucker, sign KO, thank Upshaw for his services.
  9. I'd like McCarron to beat Pitt and NE, and then Dalton to come back and throw four picks in a loss to the winner of Hou/KC. In the NFC, I just want to see the Vikings beat Seattle, and that might be even more far-fetched than the AFC scenario above.
  10. That looks like a LOT of options to us even in this "worst case scenario." Man, a top ten pick surely makes a big difference. I think it would be amazing if we did pick Treadwell, but I just don't see it happening.
  11. I agree, but I doubt it happens soon. Probably pretty close to the end of the league year.
  12. I know this. What I said is still true.
  13. That'd be something. Chiefs have never been to a Super Bowl since joining the NFL.
  14. College football overtime is the worst overtime in all of sports. It isn't football.
  15. I wouldn't mind throwing every play if that is what gets us wins. However, this year with four different QBs and a band of misfits at receiver was not the ideal season to throw it more than any other team. We threw it so much, and we were only way behind in two games. We even had the lead through the first half this past week and still threw it almost 60 times. I have to think with better balance we wouldn't have been so inept in the third quarter.
  16. Just putting this question here because it has to do with quarterbacks. Did we really lead the league in pass attempts this year, or did I get bad information? We should work on lowering that number and trying to help the running game again.
  17. I just love that there are threads devoted to these same subjects for group discussions, but this guy manages to create separate ones specifically for his own thoughts and opinions. People seem to enjoy them, though, judging from the page counts and spirited debates. I've tried a couple times to engage in actual informative conversations on these threads, but that is always a fool's errand it seems.
  18. Our QBs had their struggles this year, but I still think we had four guys play for us that were all better than quite a few other quarterbacks that took the field today. It was ugly watching and hearing the names of the bums under center throughout the league.
  19. He had that scintillating 4-yd rush, doh...
  20. Fourth quarterback of the year, so why not call 60 pass plays? It'll be fine.
  21. Coach pulled Free Brady and the starters before the final drive. Obviously, he was throwing the game. Probably trying to screw the Dolphins out of the higher draft pick. Typical Pats.
  22. You listed a bunch of players as though that's who Flacco has had as his group of receivers. That's one at a time for the receivers (and one year with none of them), and didn't have those tight ends playing much together at the same time, either. Basically, Flacco has mostly had one solid veteran receiver and one tight end each season. Eli has certainly had several seasons with multiple good receivers playing. He hasn't had an embarrassment of riches or anything, but I do think he has had it better in the RECEIVER department, and Shockey was a pretty good TE for a while with him. As far as overall team, Flacco has been blessed to be on the better end of that coin.
  23. I'm so out of touch. Can someone please tell me what the story is with the cool-down jog every player is doing these days to celebrate everything they do? Is some meme or new dance?
  24. Pretty sure Toomer is amongst the top receivers ever to play for that franchise, a star since before Eli, and he wasn't even the one who made the helmet catch.
