My family had been BALTIMORE Colts season ticket holders since the mid 1950's, I got in on the action in the 1970's, after the heyday of Johnny U, but I was taught that we root for our home team NO MATTER WHAT! I stopped watching football at age 14; it was the winter of 1984. I began following it again a little bit thanks to the CFL of 1994-95. 1996 was met with mixed feelings; there was elation at having a NFL team, and sadness that it wasn't our beloved Colts. I also felt a bit bad for Cleveland die-hards, but not too much, because they: a) new it was coming, and
got to keep their colors/name (thank God). My relationship with the RAVENS took a few seasons to bloom, and just like my second marriage, I wasn't about to lay my heart out for any old thing that came around; I needed a courtship. Well, by 2000, I was ready to tie the knot again, and just as fate would have it, the honeymoon was well worth the wait! I have to say, I am deeply entrenched into my BALTIMORE RAVENS! And I have taken some lessons from the past; I'll share a few with you: 1) ALWAYS SUPPORT YOUR TEAM, even if they are in dead-last place, 2) Screw that Indianapolis team, and Pgh, and so-on and soforth, they are not us, and 3) NEVERMORE
