    To my ravens family. I love most of you. Make no mistakes, there are some quality posters on this site. Posters that I will always repsect and love. 

     

    However, I ultimately blame the following members for driving the good posters away. I am putting A LOT of the blame for the boards closing on you people. No more mister nice guy. YOU'RE ALL GOING DOWN. I know that there are no personal attacks. But almost all of you have come after me in the past. 

     

    Now. The mods have requested I keep it PG-13. So I had to change some things around sadly(it also means that I am allowed one F-Bomb according to PG-13 rules). There is an R-Rated Version on a google doc. PM me if you so desire. 

     

    Again. No one on here deserves to be roasted moreso than me. But these guys ALL come close. 

     

    It was fun on these forums. I will miss you all.

As much as there are guys who will support Flacco no matter what, you bash him for literally no reason whatsoever? What’s the matter, did he steal your gf in high school? Does it pain you to know that the most boring, dull, and person who lacks a personality has converted the potential woman of your dreams into a mormon and popping babies into her like there’s no tomorrow? You think this is too far? WELL TOO BAD! You constantly take personal shots at other members, myself included, and you have gone TOO FAR.      I can assure you that many have waited for this. Well, I might as well kill two birds with one stone here. How do you two like your right hands? It’s a serious question you freaking Know it alls. You’ve made the forums UNBEARABLE even if I agree with your opinions half the time. You both just sit there on your high horse as if your word is gospel. Talking like your opinions are the only ones that matter. Well guess what know it alls, it’s not. There’s a reason us fans can’t run a freaking team... Because most of us don’t know enough. So quit acting like your opinion is superior. I would listen to 20 other members on here before you solely because of your damn attitude that it’s not even funny. It’s even sadder to know that the two of you are likely grown butt men, because you entitled pieces of Crap sure as hell don’t act like it. You must be killer at parties, as in it dies the moment you walk in. If either of you have girlfriends/wives, tell them that I'm sorry. Firstly if so many girls desire your “bod” and think it’s “yummy” then why did you get suspended because you were perving on some girl. Something doesn’t add up here. I’m good enough that I actually teach a core and weight training class at a gym. It’s a damn shame too that your narcissism exists. I liked some of your opinions about player(Deion Jones, etc). But you almost ruined the damn forum mock by playing me and @Ozzsome'sbrother. You probably watch professional wrestling(and think it’s real given your apparent superior intellect) so at that moment I went “You just made the list”. And guess what? You’re on it. Despite the 70,000+ registered accounts, only a very small majority have been active in the last year to two years -- and that includes people who don't post comments. When we talk about activity, it includes those fans as well. All of it has declined. The number of members visiting and posting on the boards on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis has reached very low levels. (Last preseason/regular season, only about 3% of members visited the boards. And in October and November, all of the posted comments were made by just 1% of the users. These numbers include news article comments as well.)

    The mods and I greatly appreciate all of the compliments about how our board is better than others out there and how much better our members are than those on other boards. (We have always agreed.) But as any of the mods can attest, it's not easy to keep it so clean and the trolling to a minimum. There is a significant amount of effort and behind-the-scenes communication going on between the mods and admins. (In fact, the amount of conversation taking place in the mod area is greater than all of last season's game threads and this year's draft forum post volumes combined.) To keep things up to our high standards requires a great deal of time and human resources, and we must constantly evaluate how we're utilizing those resources so that we might best serve all our fans.

    As you may have noticed, several fans have been looking to launch an unofficial community for those still interested in interacting with each other in a message board environment beyond tomorrow. I have been in contact with those creating the boards at www.purpleflock.com and invite you to check them out.

    We know that many who have voiced their displeasure will still disagree with our decision to close the boards, but we hope you might respect the fact that, since last offseason, much thought, debate and consideration has gone into this decision. We greatly appreciate your support as fans and thank you for your unsurpassed passion.

    Pardon my french, but what the hell are you thinking? We have one of the smallest fanbases in the entirely nfl already. And the regulars tend to stick around because the regulars(me, @-Truth-, so many others) like each other. And furthermore, you're screwing people like me over. And that's unfair. I don't live in Baltimore. I don't know any ravens fans. This forum is all I got. Facebook, twitter, is full of idiots. It's like if Disneyland closed because they got 1000 less customers than the previous year. Why ruin a good thing?

     

    And I'm gonna come across as a Brownnoser, but even though I think moderation could have been better, the moderation here has been far superior on this forum than ANY I have been on otherwise. I literally quit RSR because that place is toxic. Here, there are several insightful and intelligent fans here who have turned me into a much smarter football fan. Sure, there are idiots here too, but not too many of them. The moderation generally does a good job. 

     

    Seriously.. Closing this place is ASININE to the nth degree. A lot of stupid crap has happened this year. But this is easily in my top 5. This is nonsensical from every angle I look at it from. I'd get it if it were from a funding perspective, but seriously. 

     

    Let me make sense of this. 

    1. If you think that running this forum has become too hard, then why do people like @Moderator 2 still have moderator jobs on other websites? She works hard, at while we've had conflicts in the past, we've always resolved them and has gone easy on me. She seems to REALLY like it here. As do the other mods. I'm pretty sure some of them would LOVE to step into your position if it meant they could keep the place running. 

    2. OF COURSE THERE'S BEEN A DROP OFF. We've missed the playoffs 3/4 years. It esentially killed any kind of bandwagon we had going and thank god, but it shows who the true fans are. Again, we have a very small fanbase to begin with. The fairweathers are gone. And thank freaking god.  When we start winning again don't be surprised when other message boards suddenly have a flood of fans. 

    3. The amount of attention to detail on this forum is great. It's not only easy to use, but aesthetically pleasing. Far and away better than any replacement options set in place(no offense to the ones who created them. I'm grateful. But seriously, the website here is simple yet gorgeous). 

     

    Just. This is so nonsensically idiotic that it's giving me a headache. Screw this place for closing.

    So yeah. I'm SAM/Mr. Irrelevant and now @LosT_in_TranSlatioN. I didn't really intend on coming back(and I'm not here NEARLY as frequently as I used to be. I mean. 6,000 posts in 3 years when the account had 1000 to begin with), but a few friends on here convinced me to come back. And whenever I reveal my identity to people they say that they didn't know(except for @52520Andrew who figured it out rather effortlessly). I wanted to dedicate myself to being a quality poster over a guy who does it constantly. I hope that I could leave a decent impression on the rest of you over the past few seasons. I may not be the most knowledgeable guy about football, but I feel as if the past three years my knowledge has grown considerably. And it's been because of these forums. So many people here have taught me so much, and I'm grateful. 


    So what's new with me? I currently attend the University of Colorado at Boulder. I have a 3.5 GPA and am about to pull of a 4.0 for the semester. Double Major in Economics and Political Science with a minor in business. I honestly love it. I still talk a lot, but mostly to professors and my core group of friends. To be honest, off the forums, I'm a very quiet person unless someone is in my inner circle. I keep to myself, don't have a lot of friends, not a social butterfly. I love my ravens, but off the forums I have 10 friends that I actually talk to. 5 in which are in my inner circle. None of them are Ravens fans. So I'm grateful that I had a community that welcomed me with open arms even if I talked WAY too much and was a PITA during my tenure as @SecretAgentMan. I'm gonna miss this place but all good things will come to an end.

     

    So shout outs. 

    You people made my forum experience here AWESOME. I hold all of you in very high regard even if we don't always get along. I value your opinions greatly on several matters. You guys are Kickbutt people. Don't forget it!

     

    S/o to @The Raven. The residential oline guru who along with @-Truth- has taught me so much about oline schemes at whatnot. I'm a more knowledgeable football fan because of people like you. Even if you don't have the highest opinion of me(given my past I honestly don't blame you. God 14 year old me needed friends) know that I hold an incredibly high one of you as a fan. Hope to see you around on whatever new board. 

     

    S/o to  @-Truth- and @K-Dog, and @Deflated Football and @RavensFanMania and @ravefan52 for generally being awesome posters overall. I keep in touch with all three of you off the forums and for good reason. Even if we disagree on football issues, all three of you are very respectful of other people's opinions (unless they're totally asinine). Looking forward to several good conversations in the future.

I will keep in touch. 

    @The Raven I always enjoyed your posts. I think we need more direct comments and you never held back. As for @arnie_uk, check your PMs. @Inqui has the best avatar around and it's true--we colluded numerous times. 

    Thanks to the Ravens for having this forum for us for as long as they did.
