In Ozzie we trust... used to be the saying that everyone believed in... we will see this spring if it still rings true.
A serious pass rush covers up a multitude of shortcomings elsewhere in the defense. This is where the Ravens need most to improve.
Any chance to of getting the old format back?
"In Ozzie we trust"... used to be the word. This off-season will tell if that remains the case.
It should be remembered that Joe pays Linta to be his agent. If Linta plays hardball with the Ravens (which he assuredly will) it's really Flacco calling the shots. We shall soon see if Joe wants to win or if he wants to simply get richer.
A class act... too bad it didn't work out.
Williams is a keeper... same with Gilmore and Boyle. Pita needs to retire and save his body. We are set at TE... need to get a number 1 receiver to replace SSS when he retires.
"In Ozzie we trust" used to be the word... we shall see this off-season if that expression still rings true.
Signing Pita to a long term contract after his career threatening injury needs to be looked at in terms of the FO decision makers.
If we release him after June 1st we save 5 mil in dead money. If he retires I believe we save even more.
Joe sure sounds like the last thing on his mind is helping the team out with his salary cap hit. We know for sure that his agent has a history of bad blood with the organization. Negotiations are going to be tough to say the least.
Used to be "In Oz we trust"... hope we can still count on that one.
Too bad but Joey Bosa will probably be long gone at number six.
Whether they choose to announce it or not the Ravens would do well to have a quiet QB competition to see who our best QB might be. After this season it's not as clear as it once was.
Hopefully the Ravens will allow a competition to determine their best QB for next season.
Good news in a bad season. SSS provides not only a true number one receiver but toughness and leadership for the offense. he's like a mini version of Marshal Yanda.
Face it... super bowl teams have one thing in common... a good OL. Flacco needs to help out with the salary cap so we can sign KO. If he won't... maybe, just maybe Mallett is a better option.
If Mallett keeps this up there will be some tough decisions to make this off-season.
Gonna be hard to keep this guy on the bench next year....
Williams is greatly appreciated by B-more fans; the rest of football will realize it's mistake in time.
He seems to have the knack of making adjustments when the ball is in the air... and good size. worth a good look.
I don't believe I have ever seen a Ravens signing which was accompanied by so much negativity. It's understandable given current events but I'm thinking that our F.O. may see something that makes it worth giving him a shot. Time will tell. If it proves to be another bad signing then Mr. B needs to take a look at whoever called this shot. If he turns out to be a gem then kudos to the shot caller. I am sure the contract is written so that if he self destructs we won't have lost much in terms of cap space so we can afford to take a shot.
His hardships and bravery kind of put everything we go through on a daily basis back into the proper perspective.
Criticize the FO if you wish but give the young man a break. He was injured.

The premise of the article is that Mike Preston got it wrong in calling for building the defense into one to be feared. Preston is more than correct. A fierce defense coupled with a good offensive line will succeed every time. That is the ticket and Preston is right this time.
