  1. He can't block... even a little bit. He set a new NFL record for failed receptions. He not only had an average yards per catch near the bottom of the league, he had virtually zero yards after first contact. Two thoughts... first they need to cut Watson... second they need to figure a new scheme so we won't set another record for failed receptions.
  2. We could sure use a real center... Mangold? We have a couple tight ends that we could cut and clear some more cap space!
  3. FO had no choice... if no one else bids for him we might just be able to pick him up on the cheap. Anyone heard whether Pitta is willing to take a pay cut or if he wants to move on?
  4. Good news for the Ravens... I just hope his new found riches won't hurt his great work ethic.
  5. Now it is clear why we signed Woodhead. Yet another disappointment among our young players.
  6. SF has overpaid him... just like they did with Smith. Too bad he's gone but the price was way too high... ditto Wagner and regrettably this will probably be the case with Williams as well. Until we get a QB on a rookie contract (as opposed to the highest cap hit in the NFL) we will keep getting picked apart every year.
  7. It's now reported that Pita will have to take a pay cut to stay... there is still hope I guess.
  8. An understandable move... but it's always hard to lose a class act like Doom.
  9. "In Ozzie we trust"... I'm old enough to remember when people said that with a straight face.
  10. It's a start... I just hope Ozzie has a plan... if not this season's 8-8 record will seem like the good old days.
  11. You knew it was game over with Williams and Wagner when the Ravens announced they had made their patented "highly competitive" offer.
  12. Check his 2015 stats prior to his injury... he was having a bad year before he got hurt. Much the same as the 2016 season.
  13. Unless the FO nails the draft this year and makes some really good decisions concerning the free agent market I'm worried that last year's 8-8 record may be hard to repeat without such an easy schedule.
  14. Harbs says there is "no doubt we will contend for a championship"... due to our "championship caliber quarterback"... I hope for his future in Baltimore he is calling this correctly.
  15. The Ravens have four of the first 100 picks... Ozzi needs to get all four right and to have his second and third round picks from last year prove they belong in the NFL. Hey... we can always hope can't we?
  16. The NFL needed a back-up center for the game... no one else would go.
  17. Signing Mangold would have more impact on the upcoming season than any of the other players being "associated" with the Ravens in the free agent market. Since we are joined at the hip with Flacco for three more years due to the dead money involved, we need to try to get him to play better than the 24th ranked (QBR) player at his position. Mangold seems like the best option I have seen thus far.
  18. The beat goes on... it wasn't long ago we were a model franchise.
  19. Looks like the Raven's FO might be on to a good program... kudos to whoever came up with this idea.
  20. After all Joe is the best looking player in the NFL... why shouldn't he be the top paid player??
  21. Certainly looks like a keeper... and since it's beginning to look like Williams and Wagner may bolt he will be an indispensable part of the DL. Too bad we can't afford him AND Williams.
  22. Joe is the number 2 QB in terms of cap hit and number 24 in terms of QB rating and efficiency. Pretty much says it all. Since we are stuck with him for three more long years due to the dead money issues the question becomes how can the Ravens get him to play better. I am discouraged by the fact that the Ravens have decided that no QB coach is even going to be appointed. Sounds like they are satisfied with 24th ranked play out of their QB.
  23. Why wait until we dig ourselves into a hole to make the change?
  24. It has been proven that we can neither draft nor develop wide receivers... why do we maintain the status quo?
  25. I think we all wish our coaching WAS mediocre in terms of wide receivers.
