It's a shame that Dixon had this setback. He was well on his way to the starting job. Have yet to see a spark from Forsett... might we see West as the number one back?

The OL is the heart and soul of any offense. Stanley seems solid... if Alex Lewis plays up to his potential we should be solid. I'm another one, however, who is still trying to get over dumping "Q".

No doubt about it... for once Joe will have all the tools necessary to live up to his contract. Lets hope it happens!

Might have been smart to keep Perriman on the PUP until game six or seven... Butler would certainly be more ready to contribute on opening day.

Should have used grass all along... might have cut down on a few injured players as well. Grass was installed when the stadium was built... wonder why they ever went with plastic??

Best move might be to concentrate on using Reynolds primarily as a returner this year... it would give him time to develop as a receiver and would keep Camp from getting hurt on returns.

That certainly is a strong indication we will get the old Suggs back... motivated and in shape.

Too bad it didn't work out... if Stanley get hurt or is ineffective Joe is in real jeopardy.

Anybody see this guy when he was healthy? If he really is healthy there is no way he is a back up.

One more question... back up at left tackle?? Should Stanley be injured or ineffective what is the plan to keep Joe off the IR?

A lot will depend on the pressure generated by this group. Nothing improves secondary play like a ferocious pass rush. Having Suggs and Doom on the PUP will give the youngsters an opportunity to shine. If we get the old Suggs back, motivated and in shape this will be a good year. If not, let's hope one of the new guys is ready for prime time or it will be a long year for the "D".

If two factors go the right way the sky will be the limit... (1) Do we get the old Suggs back; in shape and motivated? and (2) does Joe live up to his contract? If the answer to both is yes we are set.

He actually retired as soon as the Ravens gave him that multi-year contract.

Webb is certainly the favorite to start along side of Weddle based mostly on the size of his contract. It remains to be seen if he can outplay the rest of the competition. I would have to see it happen to be sure.

Cutting Monroe loose was a bit risky... they need to be comfortable with the back-up situation at tackle. Hurst is a good guy but hasn't proven yet that he is the man for that job. I'm hoping Castillo has it covered.

Sure is too bad that negotiations have turned this nasty... turns a fan off. I guess we forget sometimes, it's just a business in the final analysis.

Lots of things to worry about this year... SSS is not one of them!

I'm in the pay him now camp. Losing KO is the perfect example of not doing so. Ngata, on the other hand, never was the same after getting a long term contract (this has been the case with many NFL players)... Williams seems more likely to continue playing hard after getting long term security. As for Joe... I sure hope he proves PFF wrong.

Now is the time to use that cap space to sign Williams to an extension. Otherwise we are looking at another KO situation.
