Most pundits have downgraded the Ravens draft because we failed to add a WR, not because of the players we did draft. Not sure we drafted a starting RT either. If we can convince Boldin to finish his career here, we will be much better off than adding a 2nd or 3rd tier WR in the draft. This was a very weak WR class once you cleared Davis/Williams, so why reach?

This solid defensive draft will serve the Ravens well for years downstream.

My best guess:

In a perfect world one of these guys is there at #16:

4) Taco Charlton, DE/EDGE

With 4 early picks, a couple scenarios could play out:

or

1) Foster, LB
2) Smith-Shuster, WR
3) Moreau/Jones, CB
4) Holden/Banner, OT

I'm intrigued by Corey Davis and Taco Charlton. Davis could be a very nice #1 WR we have always needed and wouold make a nice corp with Wallace, Perriman and Davis. Charlton on the other hand, would provide a solid DE that is just scratching the surface of his passrush potential. Great all-around player with 9 sacks last season. Perfect draft for me is Taco Charlton, Fabian Moreau and Ju-Ju Shuster and Ryan Anderson in the first three rounds.

I like this kid in 3rd rd.  OLB and CB in Rds 1 and 2.  Barnett/Harris and Moreau/White.  Love the heart of Ju-Ju and he's just we need to pair with Perriman going forward.

I think King would be an outstanding pick in Round 2.  I'd pencil him in at safety not CB.  I look for the Ravens to draft CB in Rd. 1 and would welcome King in Rd. 2 to solidify our future defensive backfield.  Not a chance in Rd. 1.

I think all of us are frustrated by the lack of performance from a team we thought could compete for a Super Bowl. I'm no less of a fan because I call for accountability from the front office on down. I wouldn't fire Ozzie or Harbaugh but I would demand improvement. This is not a team being outplayed by folks with more talent. This is a team beating itself WEEK AFTER WEEK. That is on the players but also on the coaching staff. We have to get better and fast or we will have substantial change. Bisciotti is not one to stand by and watch his team spiral into another lost season.

For the first time in the Flacco era, I have lost all confidence in him. He looked beyond tentative and scared. I think the Ravens decided to sit Stanley in hopes they could get by and have him evern more healthy come the Steelers game. Frankly I was embarrassed by our overall performance yesterday and think Harbaugh's job may well be on the line over the remainder of the season. If Harbaugh goes, Ozzie may hang it up as well. Maybe an overreaction, but maybe not. Also agree that Hester simply is not the right guy. I think we should bring Elam back from IR, resign Campanaro and pray we see a vastly improved Flacco and an elimination of stupid mistakes aka Jernigan/Mosley!

I have always been a big supporter of Joe, blaming the O-line for many of his problems. At this point, however, I have to beign wondering if he is more of the problem than the solution. In virtually every game Joe has had the chance to win it for us and this week was no exception. Missing a wide open Wallace with no pressure was brutal example of accuracy issues that go beyond o-line performance. Football games are won and lost in an instant and that was our instant. Sure we had way too many penalties and we were terrible against Beckham, but in the end, we had a chance and Joe flat out missed him by 5 feet, sailing a pass over the head of a wide open Wallace. Why? Lack of confidence? Ailing knee? I don't know, but if he doesn't get it fixed in the next week or so we will be watching again in January and looking at a top ten pick in April.

The failure of our offense to put more points on the board was due IMHO to the untimely penalties. Flacco looked unsure in the 2nd half and was pressured and failed to hit several open WRs. A little antsy was to be expected but he was very low on most passes in the 2nd half. I expect a better showing using more of the run against the Browns...

A couple interesting twists and turns that caught me by surprise. In a perfect world, the Ravens grab Tunsil in Rd. 1, Spence in Rd. 2 and Cyrus Jones in Rd. 3. If Alexander were to drop to us in Rd. 2, I think we go that direction and look for Correa, Kaufusi in Rd. 3 or Jenkins in Rd. 4.
