  1. Oh and Gary Kubiak will be at the press Conferance TODAY!!

    Jeff Zrebiec jeffzrebiecsun 3 hrs

It's expected that Kubiak will be at today's press conference. But again, not sure about what other changes will be announced

Either way, Koubiak hire is a huge coup for #Ravens. Accomplished play caller and has had good success working with quarterbacks.

One scenario is Kubiak at OC, Shanahan as QB coach, Dennison as RB coach and Hostler, Castillo staying in current capacity. But we shall see

  2. So is this Kubiak/Shanahan/Dennison report as close to being official as it can be, or is it just a rumor?

no rumor when gary gets the job he's bring Dennison and Kyle with him also john Harbs like the idea too so when Kubiak get a HC Job  1 or 2 years they have someone who can take over.

  3. Gary Kubiak is our New OC!

Still some details to work out but everything is set for Gary Kubiak to become the next offensive coordinatior of the Ravens.

What remains to be seen is what will offensive staff look like around him. Where does Rick Dennison fit in? Do Hostler, Juan Castillo stay?

  4. Please for the love of good tell me there is a source

    here's your source!

Offensively, the Ravens should have a heavy Texans flavor in terms of scheme and assistants

Anticipating more change to offensive staff with Gary Kubiak's arrival. Lot of moving parts

  5. @AaronWilson: "Ravens coach John Harbaugh has spoken with former Texans offensive coordinator Rick Dennison during the past few days, according to source"

@AaronWilson: "Rick Dennison is highly regarded by John Harbaugh and in NFL circles, according to sources"

Shanahan is still the better option, he has more experience as a play caller.  I'm not sure Dennison is that far above Hostler on my OC Big Board.

so he gonna be the QB coach and Kyle OC?

  6. Well when you have a strong track record of winning 20 straight Super Bowls on Madden, teams start to take notice.  OC is actually a step down for me, they're lucky I'm considering it.

then i need to be DC for the ravens and bring my MAXDEF from Madden 1-5-5 and 2-3-6 Defense lmao!

  7. Especially after that horrible season he had as OC of the 9ers before he became our WR coach. Not a very good record. Unqualified. It will be a major disappointment if Shanahans not named next OC.

Isn't it funny that this topic started off as Kubiak as next OC and he didn't even get an interview.

i know right! smh but whatever Shanahan or BUST! Guranatee we have a 5-11 season with Jim at the helm.

  8. Baltimore sport and life article on Jim Hostler! http://baltimoresportsandlife.com/baltimore-ravens/jim-hostler-even-qualified-install-nfl-offense/

so points to look at Jim and his time with Offenses!

What went wrong with Anquan Boldin in Baltimore that he couldn’t top 65 catches, and didn’t sniff a 1,000 yard season in three seasons while still considered in his prime? This is the first question I’m asking Jim Hostler in any interview.

To sum it all up, what does Jim Hostler have to hang his hat on?

    • One good season of Santana Moss, followed by regression
    • Failure to develop two first round QBs, Pennington and Smith
    • Complete failure in Alex Smith’s case as the number one overall pick
    • Regression in one of the league’s best running games when he installed his game plan in SF
    • In six years with the Ravens he’s got Torrey Smith, jury still out on Marlon Brown, and a long list of what could have been
    • Regression of Anquan Boldin who just proved he can still put up great numbers in any offense on the wrong side of 30 years old

Someone enlighten me? What makes Jim Hostler qualified to install and run an NFL offense expected to produce better results than the Ravens offense did in 2013?

  9. Yes Kyle did impress and that goes over glowingly in the personality department imo. While Hoss has gotten endorsements from former players and has a strong relationship with current players, Shanahan has been endorsed by current NFL HC and at least 2 of them has had to game plan against his offense the last 4 years in the NFC East. That says a lot for him imo because you are talking about coaches who know what it's like to gameplan and how tough it was for them going against his offense, not just players who liked playing for a players coach.

I strongly feel the Ravens want to have a complete shift in offensive system, but continue to keep our philosphy. I honestly think Shanahan was the first choice, but then Hoss probably had some great ideas, plus the history of us being comfortable promoting within, made confidence in him grow within the organization. I think this was a legit OC search and tough decision for the Ravens to make. Unless you think Kevin Byrne is a liar, I find it hard to believe that Harbs has spent so much time interviewing candidates, scouts, organization members and putting calls into coaches from other teams, only to just say Hoss is the guy because he's my friend. He's been given a fair shot at OC and this is probably his final season with the Ravens, because if we have a great offensive year and our WRs play well, someone will probably look to hire him next season just because we strongly soncidered him this year.

one guy that they said call the ravens to give Kyle the OC Job was giants HC Tom Coughlin. a 2 time SB winning HC so that something to consider.

  10. Are people here allergic to looking at all the facts or do they just like to believe whatever supports their negative agenda?

its not that ,we don't want a in house hire we want some one from outiside because how terrible our O was that why not becasue he a bad guy or bad position coach we just want some new blood in here.

  11. Leach already shown his endorsement for Kubiak as the Ravens offensive coordinator but i have no idea how Jones would feel about it . I like Kyle Shanahan as well  and The Ravens could probably hired both Kubiak and Kyle  but have one as the offensive coorindinator and the other as the quarterback coach .  I think that would be a great move for the Ravens and either one in my opinion should  help the offense in a positive way.

i could most Def see them Hired Both Kyle and Kubiak since they did work back at Houston together and both ZBS guys that would be huge move for Flacco and Offense!
